Good morning gentle desker. I was going to type this in block capitals to help Jan, but it seems that she’s a really good patient and her eyes are improving daily and I’m very relieved, and very pleased for you mate! Try not to wince when you see this….
It’s a story of disuse and neglect. Tidying up to use the surface will involve dusting. Apart from bone idle and procrastination, the reasons vary from being too busy with non-desk crafting (poppies) and the weather…when it’s warm and dry, my guilt gene obliges me to be in the garden. Now that does look tidy! Anyway, have a look around…that bluey green box is my bead stash. Not huge, but contains a bracelet kit that I thought I might have a go at this summer - you know, sitting in the sun and quietly creating. Turned out to be a sit-at-a-desk-and-concentrate-hard job, so that’s now In procrastination corner. The rectangular red box is an attempt to fire up the mojo and get some cards made…after all, I really like doing that, it’s what brought me into paper crafting. It’s actually a subscription kit from StampinUp! - it’s called Paper Pumpkin, a kit a month for however long you subscribe. This is the first, and to be honest,, I’ve opened it, felt a bit underwhelmed and put it on the desk because it must be used. That was for May, and June’s is already on the way, so I want to get enthused. I suspect that once I unpack and open, it will be a nice way to work. More on that when I do!
The square red ‘box’ is a pile of felt pieces. I’m working on felt stuff on my sofa desk….
Making bunting. Will also report back with that when it’s more advanced. So far it’s just a few vaguely lemon shaped wedges!

So what’s on your Workdesk, lap, sofa, dining table? We’d love to see, there’s a bunch of us doing the weekly reveal over at Sarah’s. It’ll take me even more time to visit this week, today is jam full of appointments and visits, please expect me when you see me!

Thanks for the Capitals thought but I’m seeing teen stuff ok so that’s good ๐ Looking at your desk it struck me that you really like the boxes themselves rather than the contents, just pile them up and enjoy the view. Hope your busy day isn’t too onerous, let’s catch up when you can.
Hugs LLJ 5 xx
It reminds me of the song…little boxes, little boxes all made of ticky tacky…..I wonder if you remember that one?

Hi Julia. Oh my! boxes seem to grow in my cabin, how does it happen? If you want to be in the garden you do it while you have the chance. It's a bit dull here today so sitting here talking to you lot is just fine. Hope you have a good woyww, hugs Angela x8x
You seem to have lots of things on the go procrastinating over!! Im delaying fussy cutting due to football . Can't watch tv and cut accurately! Perhaps tomorrow if b gas finally manage to do the boiler.... happy woyww Helen #1

I like nice boxes and have several pretty ones in my sewing room. They are certainly useful for storage although I often forget what I've put in the.๐คฃ x x Jo ๐
Oh the lemon wedges made me smile and the embroidery thread box too. Nice that you are able to create in the garden too. Wish I could. The conservatory is my escape early in the morning when I wake in a sweat and need to be a cool breeze through the open door. And when I say early usually around 6am! Thanks for your thoughts on the prompts - they were given in a Christian arena but yes I totally agree more for the younger. No idea how to access an Ebay "shop" tried a direct search and it came up with actual boxes - so funny. I'll ask hubby he's been using it for buying and selling for many years. I used to ask him to get stuff for me now and again. Not sure I'm living my best life, not even sure what that would meant to me either, but you've given me stuff to ponder and I thank you for that. Hello Julia, so many projects, so little time! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished projects in due course. The lemon wedges are lovely. Hope all the appointments went well today and that you are keeping well. Hugs, Elizabeth xx #10
I consider tidying up my home-office/art-studio, as well as my church office, a soul cleansing activity. Things can get chaotic sometimes, so it gives me time to think and to bring some order into my life. Peace, my friend!
Hi Julia,
You have a lot of fun things to make, but
when the garden calls the garden calls.
So lovely to be in the garden with a warm breeze and bird song.
