My Workdesk is a neglected mess which is not unusual I know, but it will be put right presently, I have a pressing need to make a birthday card for tomorrow. Deadlines, so inspiring.
My sister and her granddaughter had a hand printing session at the weekend and I was allowed to keep the not so good ones…but I had done the same with Piper (age 4) a couple of weeks previously and we’d used 12x12 paper so I could use it as a scrapbook page base. Sometimes, just sometimes, I’m on it!I bought a new Raskog trolley when in IKEA last week.
There it is patiently waiting to have all the stuff from the old one transferred. I haven’t done it for several reasons, the most apposite being that I should take the time to purge all the scraps etc that live in the top layer. Despite having them on hand, there’s a few colours and patterns that I constantly overlook so it’s time to let them go. I haven’t bought it on a whim, the existing trolley has collapsed wheels and despite the middle shelf being empty, it won’t stay in position, the nuts have failed and despite several mendings, now the struts need to be drilled to take bigger bolts but they’re too narrow. Argh.
And then there’s this that has kept me away from anything but admin - honestly I’ve spent two whole days in phone calls and form filling for a ‘no fault’ accident,
and today it’s a week since it happened and I still don’t have the ‘courtesy car supplied in 24 hours’. There’s a feeling of being had over the whole repair thing too; I think I’ll blog separately about it, see if anyone else has had a similar experience.
Meanwhile, go look at other, interesting and active desks, much more fun than reading my whining (sorry). Join us over at Sarah’s for a bunch of interesting links.

Oh don't with the trolly - so want one but no room in my bedroom and I guess not great on carpet anyways. Sorry about the car what a pickle trying to get it sorted. Hugs Bj#1
Right, I’m giving the universe a stern talking to and tell it to give you and Mr D a break!! I’m glad you’re ok, it’s just the inconvenience and hassle of all the repairs etc. nice trolley Missus, you can sort out and shift the stuff when other things have been sorted.

So sorry to hear about the car but glad you’re ok. My trolley in my sewing room gets used every day….it is my best buy especially as Dod fitted the little ironing board to the top…..oh and of course it had a good clean/dust during the Christmas break so it’s all sorted now ๐
Hugs,

Hi sorry I'm late as I've been on catch up since we got back. I love those trollies and managed to get three that were on offer ages ago so I have one in the cabin, one in my sewing room and one where I make my cards. They are so useful. Hope you get the car stuff sorted soon, what a pain. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x14x
So sorry to read about your accident and the hassles of dealing with it. Your old trolley sounds like it very much needed replacing. Enjoy your sorting out!
Your hand printing looked fun.

Insurers are quick to take your money but slow to pay up when a problem arises. I hope you get it sorted soon - you just don't deserve this hassle. I love that little trolley - Annie's is so useful and they do last well I think. Hand prints are a great idea for a LO page.x x Jo ๐
Sorry to hear you are having car problems but glad you are OK - hope it gets sorted out soon. Love the little hand prints and a great idea using them as layout papers.
Hope you have a good week,

Hi again Julia, I often think I can’t do Claire’s techniques justice. Sometimes it goes better, sometimes not so good. Quite a few paintings go through an ugly phase, and sometimes I manage to redeem them. I had to argue to keep Art as an O level subject (I scraped a pass.) I’ve taken a few art courses over the last few years but Claire’s by far the best and most challenging tutor.
I always think my dreams should outstrip my reach.
I picked the yarn for how it looked, rather than the name so the cream colour works ok.
Hugs

Sorry to hear about the car accident. It seems insurance companies are all talk when they take your money and take ages to actually pay up. I hope it gets sorted soon. Hugs Angela #10
Oh my! Poor you and poor car! I hope it is wrapped up quickly and fairly!
I love my raskog cart. Right now the top section holds wax seal supplies and a few other items. My favorite addition is a plastic thing that clips over the long edge for holding a kitchen roll. So convenient!
Some posted a gorgeous picture of the Northern Lights over Stonehenge! Reminds me of my visit with you and the fabulous host (and friend) you are.
Happy Wednesday! And a better day tomorrow.
SO sorry to hear about the accident Julia and hoping everyone is OK and it is just the car which has come of worst. Hope you get the courtesy car soon and that the repairs are quick. Loving the new trolley. I have three of them loaded to full with hanging caddies on the front too. Neet has been in touch and she has been allowed home from hospital. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
Lovely new trolley! Its so hard to get rid of bits of paper, even when you know you won;t be using them! Too bad about your car and troubles with insurance. Hope you already have your courtesy car! it is 3am and my back is killing me☹️, I was up waiting for the time when I could take more Advil and maybe get back to sleep. That time is now!❤️Lindart#15
I have two of those trolleys - maybe I should sort our what's in them!! Love the idea of using the handprints as backgrounds. Sorry to read about the car troubles!
