What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 753

Home again, jiggety jig! I've had time to tidy my desk, take stock of what I was doing and decide to carry on, which is why you see it looking a bit similar to a previous WOYWW!
Those two little packets at the top left of the glass mat are tags, kraft and white. I ordered them in a hurry and inevitably, they are smaller than I thought they'd be, but nonetheless, are going to be used! Behind them at left are two card bookmarks from English Heritage, the text says 'step into England's story' and I snaffled them from my lovely Aunt for scrapbooking purposes - when the Kathys were here we went to a few 'old' places, so I can make them work! Also while they were here, we went to the Crafters Companion shop in Evesham. They had a bargain area where returned goods are sold cheaply. I bought two stamps from that section, the first of which is at the left of my desk...some smart text about coffee. I was going to make a bunch of cards with it but I think given my tortoise like pace, I need to stay with Christmas for a while! There's a folder and a plastic box of photos next to my cutter. Freshly unpacked from my crop bag, to remind me that I need to keep up the momentum! Blimey, making myself laugh now!
Please share and show, we like it. I made a fresh batch of biscuits, so get ready for a coffee break!

Those tags will work well for short texts and sentiments on cards Julia. Enjoy the momentum! Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #1

Ooh I like that shop in Evesham, and the Pavers store, always pop in there if I'm ever over that way, even did a class there once. I'm just getting in to my Christmas stride, just need to find some time to 'gather momentum' as you say. I'm laughing too. Have a great week, love n hugs Cindy xx

The mention of C cards has made me think I need to get my act together and think of an idea! Your desk looks so tidy.. x x Jo

Like Jo I’ve not made a single Christmas card yet…I’ve even debated if I will send them this year because of the ridiculous postage but I probably will if I can get some made. Making 13 memory characters in a week doesn’t leave me a lot of time lol.
Hugs,

Hi Julia, sounds like you have a good plan. I know I've been seen sorting stuff for C. cards but not really got much done other than the prep. for tomorrow...yes it's the craft day with my friends on Thursday. I have no excuse for not being ready and for once I think I am. I don't mind all the work as it's good to see them and it gets my mind thinking about what I will make for my own cards though I have ended up buying some new Tim Holtz dies which I'll show you soon. Have a great woyww. Hugs, Angela x11x

I’ve got tags of all sizes except the ones I usually want! Ah well they come in handy for marking things up for the cafe so don’t go to waste. Hope your trip to Yorkshire went ok, bet you’re glad to be back home. Hope you manage to get some time to sit and craft.
Hugs LLJ 6 xx

Just seen LLJ's post re tags - I too have tags of all sizes and never use them, maybe I wi8ll think about it now and certainly in my blogging. Thanks, you have made me think for once. Wonder if you could mount the small tags on a larger one and kuse them that way - kind of make the biggest the border?
Whatever yu do have a good week.
Hugs, Neet 12 xx

Love your space this morning. I too have been trying to make Christmas cards and I'm also trying to make a few for the nursing home patients to send. The activities lady helps the patients to address and get in the mail. Hope you have a great rest of the week!

Good morning! Good it is cos I'm viewing it from behind glass!!!
Hope you had a good time while away, I suppose it's 'back to it' now as opposed to 'round to it'!!
Sorry, I kept my Mother's 'round tuit' for years and still have a quiet snicker at the memory . . .
have a good week

Nice tidy desk with a hint of purple, both great for my eye. I leave my photos laid out on 12x12 card on my desk but that doesn't seem to help me with the scrapping continuum still at February 2023! Sigh! Think IO might have cancelled Christmas as far as cards are concerned oh dear. Have been to Ikea to get a new bed for when our son comes home for Christmas though. Hugs BJ#16

Looking over my shoulder, my husband announced your desk was tidier than mine 😳. It would be lovely to come round for home baked biscuits - I don’t suppose they are gluten free though. Did you order the tags from Temu, their stuff seems to come up smaller that you think. Have a great week. Happy WOYWW. Angela #13

oh!! The first thing I spyied was the chocolate! I need it now....trying to go with out sweet things is very hard...I'll have to go raid the cupboard!
Yes! Kitkat...don't tell anyone! Your (munch) desk looks very 'munch' tidy! Have you had the gnomes in to help!? I wish we had a discount crafty store down here, I'm really missing the crafty charity shop that had to close down near me. I wonder where people are taking all their unwanted craft stuff now! Have a great week Happy WOYWW ((Lyn))#17
