What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 706

I think I must have jumped the gun at some point. I can’t claim to be Christmas ready, but I’m not in a panic at this moment. Just as well, I’ve got some tidying to do.

It’s all a bit of a shambles. I took these pictures yesterday. Because things are relatively calm on the Christmas front, I felt I might sit at my desk and do something fun. I’ve got a couple of big birthdays in the early part of January, so I thought about getting a march on those. But of course, absolutely nothing is possible in this chaos. So, I turned the heater on, shut the door and walked away. Until the room was a bit warmer that is!  And so, ta na, this morning, I have a room I can actually face!
My Scan n Cut is not in its usual place because I’ve broken it. I know. I picked it off the shelf over the dies where it lives and turned around too quickly…lost my balance, dropped it as I fell over. Ages ago, actually. But it’s now back from the dining room where Mr Dunnit and a computer friend have tried to fix it. Still doesn’t work. Brother want to charge as much as I paid for it, so am just at the stage of getting over it before having to let it go!
So now the space is useable and I intend to do just that. After a few chores and usual stuff. So please make the chores bearable my showing and telling..what are you up to in terms of desk and preparations and making stuff. Even if it’s not Christmas related, we wanna see it!

Heartbreaking news about you SnC! I still have my ancient Cricut but just got a SnC myself and quite like it.maybe replace it in the January sales? Your expanded desk view looks great! And congrats on being nearly Xmas ready. I’m not, but getting there!
Happy Woyww

It’s so annoying when you break valuable stash...let’s hope Santa brings you a replacement cos I sure you’ve been a very good girl this year (aren’t you always?).

I am relieved to see your desk like this Julia as I thought I would be the only one with a boring space but it's that time of the year when I have a bit of a turn round and guess it looks like you're the same. Shame about the Scan and Cut, I wonder what has actually happened to it. It's something I don't have and I've tried not to look into so really have no idea whether I would find them useful or not. Maybe it's better that way. Wishing you a very relaxed and a happy woyww, Angela x10x

Hi Julia, you’ll get a lot of unrelated stuff over on my blog post, with just a tiny bit of creating going on.
Yesterday I cleared my room and shoved it all in the old office come spare bedroom.

Ouch, sorry about your Scan n Cut, I've only imagined similar to a Cricut? I'll google it ~~ I know our thrift shops have had a few machines but working or not? is the question. And Market place online you can do a In Search Of. I need to downsize. Way too much stuff but everytime I get rid of something I need it.
Even goes down to simple boxes ! How is the MAIL in your area? Here it's not so dependable/too many part time Thankful for electricity in this area, so many all around us have issues with this weather. ENJOY a great weekend.

It's so sad about your Scan N' Cut, but as long as you weren't hurt in the fall is what's important. Now you have an excuse to get the newest and "improved" Sb=can N' Cut! Your desk looks nice and ready for whatever you can throw at it in the New Year! Have a wonderful week, Lindart #16

i'm sad for your grief over the scan and cut, and getting a silhouette Cameo might help you get over it!

Oh Julia, I cannot get over your Scan N Cut breaking. How absolutely terrible. I am sure the air was a bit blue. Oh that is awful.
Lovely to see all around your craftroom, what a lot of space you have and now I can picture you flitting from one area to another.
Hope you did get to sit and have fun, it's so stonking cold where I am that the rooms don't seem to get really warm, it's tempting to stay under the duvet in a morning these days. Thankfully it should warm up after weekend. We still have snowy ice all over our garden back and front - not melted at all.
Take care, cannot get over the SNC
