What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 137
Gracious me Julia Dunnit, is that actually something crafty going on at your table?
Yes indeed it is.
And why is it daylight?
Because I took the picture on Tuesday lunchtime, just as Mr Dunnit came home to ask me to go out to make some deliveries. And I was afraid that I wouldn't get back to it. And I was right.
And why is there a large ladder and a fork in the garden, interrupting your erm, view?
Because Mr Dunnit had to repair a wind tortured fence. (The ladder is stored on the ground in a small gap between our shed and said fence panel). What I should have answered is the bleedin' obvious: Mr Dunnit doesn't excel at putting stuff away. Unless it's in his workshop of course!
So what's on your desk?
A pad of fresh, cheerful Tilda papers - the nearest I've come to liking anything Tilda-ish enough to buy it. My jar of buttons...with a few pink ones sprinkled about the desk (sounds artistic that way). Lots of rolls of different size and dimension glue dots. A small deckchair. Yep. Bought for Miss Dunnit as a book holder some years ago, and relatively unused. Now employed for my ipad. A wire bound notebook, standing on its side. I'm using the pages of this book as the 'scrap' surface to swipe, splosh and 'clean' stamps and sponge inks and blah...Elizabeth did something similar last year and ended up with a bunch of wonderful journal pages. We'll see!
So now I've seen yours, shall I show you mine?
Yes, please! Upload a pic of your work station/surface/floor/worktop/armchair/lap tray to your blog, title your blog post with WOYWW and link here. (The title is important, finding the right post can be time consuming enough to make a visitor click away...) Not everyone will visit, but a few will, and believe me, the inspiration is: well, inspirational.
Can I promote my etsy/shop/tv programme/latest product?
No. We love a recommendation based on good service, and no-one minds you mentioning your sources, but really, this is not an advertising platform. It's a bit of fun. If you want to advertise...write a really good blog that people wanna visit. Take my advice, I ain't using it. And if I'm exercising a double standard, it's OK see, because this is my blog.
Thank you a kerjillion times if you got involved yesterday. Huge fun, a great buzz for Stephanie and, as Di almost suggested, we're currently considering our own range of knickers *grin*!

Not sure how this happened, but I'm glad I stalked you. No advertising for me. No photos of my desk, either. Just lots of reminiscing. Glad you explained about the ladder.
Your grass is sooooooooooo green, I can't believe it.
Looks like it was a bright day yesterday.. almost time to sit in a deckchair..hehe Like the idea of stamping, inking on a paper pad..might try that
Have a fun woyww day
xx
That desk is looking very organised today, love the card you have on there. Now do I need a deck chair for my ipad?? I know I need a waterproof, wipe-clean cover for it!!!
Hugs
Cathy xx
I love the papers on your desk! They are such wonderful colors!
Love the idea of the book for wiping and sloshing, I usually use the free newspapers and throw them away. hmmmmmmmm.....
No advertising on my blog, some sources mentioned and links to challenge blogs, other crafters blogs and WOYWW.
those are really pretty papers! and a great use for that little chair! happy WOYWW, Julia!
hugs,

Love that card on your desk and the deckchair ipad stand is a great idea. I love the Tilda pads too even though have to hold my breath when paying for them!

Oooh, why does a jar of buttons make me so happy? Maybe hypnosis would bring an answer.... I think it means I must go out and pick up a mice mason jar for my homeless buttons. Thanks for the inspiration.. And thanks for visiting!

Lots of goodies and a gorgeous card on your desk. Your grass is so green outside.
Have a great week.
Von #30 :)
Ah well maybe that ladder will put itself away...LOL. It's great to get a peek out the window. I'll have to remember to add that to my shot next week. Maybe when my hummingbird is visiting! Wonderful card on your desk and well there's just something about a jar of buttons. Happy WOYWW #23 ~Robin Panzer Art Studio 33
Oh yes, I know it well .... a DH who does not always put things back in their rightful place and a DS who does not use things. Woyww's do have quite a lot in common. Love the card and very pretty colours you have chosen.
Hi there, bit of a flying visit as I really have a gazillion other things to do! Still, Wednesdays don't feel right without a peek at all the creative spaces around! Rather a lot of pink going on today! Nice to see a bit of daylight too....
Thanks for sharing yours this week.
Neil#34
Nice looking busy desk today. I think my Doc D and your Mr. Dunnit are related cause mine tends to leave stuff laying about also! I like the new WOYWW buttons your sister is creating. The brighter the better for me! Hope you have a great week! Vickie #33
The card looks lovely and your desk is certainly pinker than usual. Happy WOYWW Cindy #36
It is good to see your desk in daylight - what a difference it makes!! The papers are fab, and I love the card. Your button jar is enviable as ever! I don't have an i-pad or i-pod either come to that, but I think the chair is so sweet...surely I could find room for one? If I weren't de-cluttering (or not) of course....
ooh nice to see the desk in daylight....must admit I am awful for putting things away (craft stuff finds itself into everyroom in my home!!!).
Lovely spiral bound journal too.
Kyla
I've managed to join in this week - yay!! My scheduled post worked which has made me very happy :) Looking forward to browsing through a few workspaces later - I thought your button jar was a jar of sweets at first! Have a great day x
Bright and cheery..do you get Snow in your area? such green grass. Love the bright colors in the Tilda papers and the pretty card. Ipad, any suggestions, I'm looking.
I like the journal page idea too. Enjoy WOYWW and thanks for the fun.
Oooh! You make me laugh! LOL! Love the green-ness of the grass today! We are all white, but should be green again by the weekend. Good luck with the journal pages. Mine would just look like mush. Love the cute rosette on the card I see on the table! Goood luck with the logo from yesterday's post! (love the first one, but they are all great!)- Amanda 40
It is always a joy to see your desk! Life is for the living. I hope you do get back to finishing that lovely project. I love the colours :)
Any lingerie related WOYWW merchandise would have to encompass the whole size range...thong to voluminous, methinks!!
Hugs, LLJ #43 xx
I like all the pinkness - it makes me happy. So does seeing daylight at this time in the morning :-)
It looks such a bright sunny day there with you Julia. Our grass has been white over all week....No snow as yet but brrrrrrrrr.
Have a fab week.
Hugs,
A x
What a great view to have whilst getting messy and crafty!!!! i have a husband who doesn't put things away too.....!!!
The papers do look nice. I've only ever seen the Tilda stuff in a catalogue, is it nice quality?
** Kate **
Very pretty in pink today Julia - my hubby is the opposite - a place for everything and everything in its place - except in my sewing room of course!!! Happy Wednesday. x Jo
Pretty PPs and I love that deckchair - lots of us at work have mini ones for our mobiles (they were giving them away at the station a couple of years ago) but your stripy one is super.
Toni xx
Sweet card Julia!!
Happy Wednesday!! ;-)
Hugs Marleen.
Nothing on my table as usual midweek, but I'm with you on the Tilda papers, bought them for home decor for DD1s bedroom, they made beautiful paper flowers.
hahaha men they know how to get it out but now how to put things back. Or they expect things to jump out of cupboards without having to look for them.
That is one cute deck chair. Love the new badges for WOYWW but had to choose all hahhaha.
Please Miss, sorry about the knickers comment yesterday :)
Loving those papers Julia and I immediately spotted the deckchair too - always have a good nose at your desk before reading the text. Happy WOYWW - thanks for a bright and cheerful post as always. Funny, I think our work desks must face the same way - a chance of decent light in the mornings at this time of year, but rubbish later in the day.
Di
xx
Want to get meself a pad of those papers Julia and I was trying to be good, But never seen a pad of them only single sheets, love the deckchair, looks a lovely card on your desk, Hugs May x x x
ooh did I miss a show of knickers yesterday? must look back later, oddly I am drawn to the tilda products and then run screaming from the shop when I see the price tag....my Mr D has a tendancy to abandon ladders about the house...it not like the relatively unobtrusive pile of craft mags is it?
dx
I am completely and utterly amazed at the neatness of your desk, but more so at the balancing act of that wooden box in front of the middle window. x
ah,Julia, do love the wander around your very crafty desk with its lovely view in spite of Mr Dunnit's best efforts still looks lovely and yes do love those papers too! I can see why they found their way there -- happy creating and thanks for being the hostess with the mostest! off to read the other comments on yesterday's post to see what others said, as was early in the post I left my comment not like today! happy WOYWW! Shaz in oz.x #67
I couldn't quite put my finger on what was so different about your desk at first. And then I realized that there is only ONE pair of scissors actually laying out on the desk!
Lovely card you are making there! So pretty!
xoxo Karen #68
How happy would we be as wives if the misters in our lives put things away. I would do anything....yes even that.....particularly as mine suffers from pot kettle syndrome...you know...where he berates the kids for not putting their bits in the dishwasher and cannot understand that he does zactly the same himself everyday with his tea cups, breakfast plates, lunch dishes... *serious eye rolling*
My iPad is well jell of your iPad's deck chair BTW.
And, small question, just how many small pairs of fiskars orange handled scissors is acceptable to display on ones desk?
Lovely desk this week Julia. As for husbands...I think they have a missing gene...the one that tells them to put things back!
Love the look of your desk this week Julia, very workmanlike with the glasses there waiting to be picked up when you start crafting again. Papers are very pretty, pink and green always look fresh together. Can't see any frost on your lawn there, have you arranged your very own micro-climate?
WOW those papers look absolutely lush xxx
Well I DO admit that my craft room mess is all my own but DH thinks he doesn't make mess in the house. THINKS being the main word. It's amazing what thought can do but also what it doesn't do!!!
Love JoZarty x
Didn't notice the ... erm... 'background' cos I was too busy looking at those luscious coloured papers you're using! Delicious! :)
Happy WOYWW
Jackie x
Fab pic, love the 'extra' details of the ladder, hee hee! Your desk looks fab and give me itchy fingers to play! Zo x
Love the card on your desk. Great post. :)
HELLO STRANGER...OMG It's been like forever since I hopped on over to see what's cooking on your desk..I see your STILL a sucker for mess but it all looks quite productive today. Loving the new look of the blog {can you tell its been a looooong time since I visited!!!} If I could just master getting up early in the mornings I may get to come play here more often! Hope your well sweet, sending hugs x
How I agree with the promoting thing Julia ;)
If there is anything sure to make me switch off it's that :)
xoxo Sioux
Whoops! BTW like number three on the new blog buttons ;)
xoxo Sioux
Can I add my vote to the "comfy knickers" category please? Gorgeous papers but I REALLY don't need any more and you can't make me (why is it so hard to resist pretty papers and chocolate...) Management here can't shut cupboard doors after himself. And don't even mention the toilet seat.... Loving that deck chair, will be on the look out for something like that for mine. See you soon xx
Oooo buttons! Did someone say buttons, jar of...Sorry distracted by buttons then! Love the whole view of working on craft, Hubby mending fences in garden it's like a play! Kimx
oh dear the admin side does seem to be taking over a little at the moment. I hope they all listen soon, we like are inspirational tour of desks each week and unspoilt and unfettered. Like the artistically displayed buttons (if not the colour).
Putting stuff away? finishing a job would be nice. My greenhouse broke in the storm, due to lack of comms between me and OH. He has fixed 2 panes (thankyou), but for some reason, has decided not to fix the other two. Now if it was glass, I could fix it, but he has decided to fix it with wood, so I can't help. I'm torn between being grateful and being annoyed! Nice to see your garden though!
Your desk has my fingers itching to craft ... alas, I have 20 wriggly-wiggly worms to make for my sister ... VERY frustrating indeed! Debbie xXx
A wire bound notebook, standing on its side. I'm using the pages of this book as the 'scrap' surface to swipe, splosh and 'clean' stamps and sponge inks and blah...Elizabeth did something similar last year and ended up with a bunch of wonderful journal pages. We'll see!
^This is an awesome idea! Must try this myself! :)
Very pink! And I love the deckchair thingy, but had to look twice at the notebook/box pile right in front of the window, cos at first glance it looked like a robot to me! Thought you were setting up for an altered art project! How about a pretty pink girlie robot???
Debs
First time I've taken part in this...what a great idea. Hope I've posted correctly as it was the second time of trying!
Hi Julia, I'm sad you can't read the posts on my blog and only get piccies :o( it makes me wonder how many others are having the same problem!! Hopefully you will be able to read it this week! those papers on your desk look very pretty and I love the look of that card your working on, I don't use rosettes on my cards enough, must make more effort with those this year! x
Lovely papers on your desk - great card too. :)
My very first WOYWW Post - I have been reading and snooping around others work areas since well before the first birthday but have never taken part until now, i don't know how many blogs i will get around and how many i will be able to leave messages on but i promise to do my best. Thank you for all the wonderful inspiration Lou xx
Hi Julia, nothing short of a miracle to be here this week - troubles with browser/blogger/etc., again. Noticed the ladder/fork before - so you're not going to be climbing the ladder with the fork in hand to clear the gutters ... I'm disappointed :( Love the interview format ... great fun :) Have a great week. Elizabeth x at appallingly #99
Hi Julia I do love your view from your room. Your desk looks very productive today.....you can actually see mine this week shock horror. I have mentioned candy I'm giving away but only as a last minute mention just if folk are interested...it's up to them. Hope that is ok?
I'm now away to make that card....happy crafting and have a great Wednesday.
Erika.
It must be nice to have green grass. Due to the attentions of two racing dogs, we have mud in place of grass, and a lot finds its way into the house to add to the mountains of black fur. I love that card on your desk - really pretty. xx Maggie #70
I don't think men are very good generally at putting things away are they, I know mine isn't, I don't venture in the shed anymore, nothing is ever where it's meant to be.
Your desk is looking lovely and creative, Julia. I'm liking the pinks and your card looks gorgeous.
Happy WOYWW
Hugs Lisax #101
It's nice to see a picture of the bright day we had yesterday. I've already forgotten it amidst the gloom of today! Thank you for inspiring me to get my own "slop" book. Could lead to a lot of mud, but maybe I'll get something cool!
Have a good one.
There's evidence of pink on your desk Julia. Are you a pink person? I was as a little girl, not now though lol. Happy W.O.Y.W.W.
Your desk has really had a huge tidy, don't think we've ever seen so much of it before. Looks like the sun loungers are out in the garden too, there's optimism for you! I think the papers are the only thing Tilda I would look at too.
Hugs
Brenda 104
I am loving the pretty colors on your desk right now and that jar of buttons is just too fabulous!
That looks like a very pretty card in the foreground with the medallion accent on it. :)
I thought I was early today, but alas I'm late again! I love the idea Julie, of cleaning your stamps in a journal! I am struggling with my journal.Going to hop around and see what's new.
Those are very pretty papers!! I think I would be tempted by them as well. Thanks for hosting this!
Happy New Year, Julia...Sorry I've been MIA...between falling down the stairs and being just too busy, it's been a full life.
I so miss seeing your view and your busy desk!
I've been away from things because of a vacation and just saw your new blog look for the first time. It looks wonderful. I have some Tilda papers and I like them, they are very sturdy and thicker than most scrapbookpapers.
Love that big deck chair. I have a small one for my mobile but Monkey has nicked it to sit on. It is so unfiar showing me all your Pink Tilda goodies after I have pledged to only use stash up this year!! Was doing wodnerfully well up till now and may be heading for a relapse. Hugs Mrs A.
Holy moly - I'm in the triple digits!!!
Can't wait to hear which new logo wins!!!
Hugs,
Kay
Just realized that I forgot to post ...not sure how ..yes I do ...old age lol. I do agree about the promoting of only ones own shop or other blogger meeting places ...fair enough if they are on the side bar but I dont mind links to interesting sites ...its up to me whether I visit but the point of the day ...or week for some ... is to visit those of like minds, for inspiration and a form of social interaction ...and to have fun, feeling one is with a friend or collegue....if you see what I mean. It does amaze me that at least a quarter of your links dont comment on your blog. xx
Crafty goodness with a green sunny view :D. I really do like the view out your craftroom, but I think I'd be so busy looking out I'd forget to get on with my crafting lol.
I think we had that wind last night, it was actually shaking the house a bit with the gusts (it always pays to keep a glass of water next to the bed so things like wind gusts shaking the house or earthquakes or t-rexs approaching can be confirmed visually lol).
Love your post! And indeed, by golly - light and an outside view! Our neighbour just came to complain about our Ivy and her collapsing fence...
and a deckchair for the i-pad - now that is luxury indeed!
So much spendour on your desk Julia that I probably wouldn't have seen the ladder and fork had you not mentioned it! LOL As for the wind....it was wild here in Canada too! Reports of up to 90km not far from us. At 11:00 p.m. last night we had gusts up to 47km. Crazy! Thanks for the peek!
Your desk looks so filled with fun today! I posted mine, but it is a little empty.
OOH, look at all the pink !! Keep smiling and creating. I always love that you have a room with a view!!
You have a happy desk today! I love the card with the rosette! Its fab you have a view - I am in a corner with no window cause thats just where it has to be - I am lucky though cause I have a whole room for craft. My ottlite is brilliant so thats ok! xx
Ooooh a whole pad of Tilda papers and are they 12 x 12 Oh my gosh I don't think I've ever seen a whole pad of 12 x 12 Tilda papers I would think I've died and gone to heaven (Tilda Heaven I'm sure that must have been a release at sometime, if not maybe one for the future??). Oh well at least Mr. D actually repaired the fence I guess we have to be grateful for small mercies, no?? Hugs Susan x
I can't believe it's Wednesday already! #123
Yay, Wednesday, my fave day. I am a Wednesday's child but I'm never full of woe!
Funny how we don't like a certain company or style but then there is just something that catches our eye or maybe somebody gives you something and you can change your mind.
Happy WOYWW
Glad to see the glasses have made a reappearance. I missed them on previous posts. Love the pink papers (are these the ones you don't normally like?) Are those ladders levitating? Had a look at the different designs for WOYWW. Can't decide, love them all for different reasons. Can't wait to see what you decide xx
Loving your ipad holder Julia. Are you sure Mr Dunnit isn't a bigamist? I think I live with him too.....
hugs
Enfys
So much to see on your desk, and I love your garden view- even interrupted. Running late today, scheduled post didn't work- again. Loving all the tools- and I think I have every size of glue dot too!
your desk is looking neat and organized, love the pretty pink card and great use of the deck chair! I think I must get me a notebook for splodges, like the idea it can turn into a journal! I always hate to throw away scraps of paper I have inked on and scribbled on!
happy WOYWW, Deb #132
Oh Julia! Happy Art! Happy Crafting! Happy Wednesday! Happy Week! TFS! Love it!
I love those rosette flowers, usually make my own but am rather tempted to buy TH's.
mmmmm I am coveting the deckchair.Interesting workspace this week with lots going on and I spy specs that look a bit like mine.
Carol
Finally made it to my desk for long enough to post! Been one of those days! Yours looks very busy and quite organised...
Yes know what you mean about Tilda, never been keen myself either. I have some ladders like that too, and yes mine are next to where the fence blew down too! Wierd!
Lavinia
x
Great work desk, love your girly papers, I don't have much magnolia either but I was given some stamped images and I enjoyed colouring them. Laura
I like the story and new paper a lot!
And I thought your jar of bottons was a jar of rhubarb & custard sweeties!!!!! Silly, silly me!!
Lin #141
What pretty papers! I didn't even look out your window, until you mentioned it :) The scene reminded me of this show I use to watch growing up, Good Neighbors. Made me smile today :)
I've seen some wonderful papers come out of smooshing leftover paints and inks etc. from other projects - can't wait to see what yours end up looking like! Like Becky said - I'm so busy looking at your desk, I've never really looked outside! *smiles* ~Jen
Loving the papers Julia, and how lovely to have all that natural light flooding in . Your right the sprinkled buttons are very artistic ! I can see your ATG gun I'd be lost without mine apart from the loading of the thing which is not a job for when I'm stressed out ! Enjoy your week
P
Love the day light shot. Activity going on inside and outside. It's a yin yang kind of thing! Well I love all those pinks on your desk Julia! This is inspiring to me. *smiles* Norma
Hello I do like my craftspace now I am at the window end but would love to be able to look at the garden when I craft. Lovely papers and little deckchair sweet- I know I'm silly- but I like it. Happy WOYWW. Anne x
wow everyone has been up to lots of pretty crafting and such
-KAT-
I am truly having a topsy turvy day Julia! I just linked up with last week's??!!! Eh!! I started on this one so don't ask me.
Lovely desk this week and nice to see you have scrapping/crafting stuff on there instead of office stuff!
I hope that ladder is safely locked away now!
New follower, posted my first WOYWW blog today lol. So much fun seeing what everyone else is up to!
Thanks
Kemma
I love those papers, but then I'm super partial to pink! Thanks for sharing your desk and your musings with us again!
This is my first time posting a photo of what is on my workdesk. What a fun idea!
#157 - but st least i'm on the right day this time! love ur desk!
Can you believe it? I actually posted on Wednesday! I love the look out your daytime window! Off I go to look around ... Have a great week.
Oops! I forgot to leave a comment yesterday. Naughty girl!
I have green grass here too (could do with cutting, but far too wet)and a husband (and 2 kids) who never put anything back!
Fiona @118
Made it at last a day late but never mind I got there... internet problems yesterday. Enjoy your week everyone x
Nice to see out your window during the day. You know, no rush on moving the tools. Love what I see on your desk. I could certainly go to town playing with those goodies.
Hi Julia forgot to leave a comment when I put my link up yesterday, this is my second ever WOYWW and I am well and truly hooked. What a great desk lovely papers :) x
good to see something being made on your desk for a change, pretty papers.
Thanks for coming over to say Hi the other day, it was good to meet you all.
janet
A lovely summery looking card to brighten a winter's day.
Marilyn
Julia, about the days of the week stamps on my desk...I bought them for Project Life, but ended up using them for a layout. Since then, there they sit...unused...on my desk. But I love them so and they make me happy to look at, so there they will stay :) For now :)
Very neat and tidy!! So, you mentioned an IPad...can you surf blogs on yours? I can't get out of my watched blogs one, as everything slides around and I can't use the side bars! Very weird! Have a great week.
Thanks for visiting me I am using the Blogger app which is free. I bought another app which is rubbish and have applied for a refund.
Carol
