I know that this isn't the Cross of St George, it is a symbol of the Union flag and that's fine by me. The older I get, the more patriotic I become. I'm more than happy to have a day dedicated to the dragon slaying patron saint of England - proud even. This tea-tray and the other bits of patriotic memorabilia we display from time to time make me smile. Despite everything, I'm happy to be an English child of the world. Oh my you had me LOL over a typical day. :)
I know what you mean about patriotism...youngest DS is in army cadets and last year I had to attend several Anzac Day services...I must admit they were a LOT more mmoving than if I had gone several years ago..brought a tear to my eye (especially dawn service) I'll probably be blubbering again tomorrow...he is in the BIG parade at Sydney this year!
