Big up to Sarah for keeping us going to this lovely bubbly round number!
I have a small amount of action going on - I thought I should tidy and ended up painting!
I acquired a tray full of out-of-date Pringles from a shopkeeper friend and having rinsed and wiped the tubs, decided they’d be good for a decoupage stunt at WI. Then I realised that the vibrant red of the pots would take a more covering than a gal can contemplate, so I’ve set about undercoating them in white. The first layer was poster paint and barely made a difference. I rummaged furiously and found all sorts of odd tubes of white acrylic paint, so they’re all now well on their way to being opaquely white. Then they can sit quietly in a box with a couple of packs of natty napkins and some glue spreaders (‘found’ over many trips to a Costa) . They are a back up plan, so we have something to do if a speaker has to make a last minute cancellation. Hasn’t happened yet, so I might even get time to make a sample and test run the theory!
Join us over at Sarah’s for creativity overflow, it’s free it’s harmless, it can be enabling and it’s always inspiring. Have a lovely day!

That activity sounds like a mindless but enjoyable thing to do, brain in neutral, paint the pots one by one and before you know it, it’s all done! The decoupage will be fun, hope you get a chance to do it.

What a fun idea to do with the boxes….handy to put pens etc in when finished.

Decopaging the pots sounds good , I enjoy a bit of gluing and sticking ! Undercoating the pots, less fun ! Helen #1 happy woyww
Great idea and a great idea to have a craft on standby too. Hugs Angela #9
Hi Julia. I'm back, we've been to the bank this morning and it took ages as they don't have enough people available to serve the customers, there was only one person at the desk and a massive queue. Anyway I'm back now and loving your idea to use the Pringles boxes, there are all kinds of things you could do with those. Wishing you a very happy woyww, hugs Angela x8x
I'm sure you will find a fun thing to make with your whitewashed Pringles cartons. Show and tell if you do! I've been doing a bit of mindless or maybe mindful stitching if 24 brooch backs this week! x x Jo 🌈
Oh I'm sure that will be fun, napkins always seem to turn out well. don't envy you the painting though. Afraid I am not very zen these days although it could be quite therapeutic I supose.
Have a good week, love n hugs Cindyxx #13
You always make me smile with your creativity - did the out-of-date Pringles get binned? Great to have a back up craft ready when required. Look forward to the scrapping. Hugs Bj#3
What a great project to have in your back pocket for emergencies Julia. The DT department at school uses Pringle packaging to create lights with cut outs and battery operated fairy lights inside, but they paint them black. Stay safe and Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah
Fantastic idea! Isn't it great to be able to think outside the box, or the can in this case! It's always good to have a back-up plan! 🌸Sorry I'm so late this week, Lindart #12🌹
Can't wait to see what you make of them. So sorry for the generic post - my back is still just too painful for my desk and two-fingered tiny keyboard typing is too much for my usual wordy replies. But Happy quite late WOYWW nonetheless!
