What's on your Workdesk? Wednesday 863

These posts are starting to feel like Workdesk avoidance posts...here's where I spent a solid couple of hours yesterday...

Making a wrapping mess in the dining room. Ive got half jobs done all over the house and I'm a one-job-at-a-time person really, so I really need to do some finishing, or I'm going to go quite mad! Yesterday I finished the tree, or as much as is going to be done, anyway. We put it up on Saturday and my baby great nieces helped to decorate it...so i finished it by spreading the decorations around...at one point all the snowflakes were hung on one branch, all the 'grey' ( it caused a discussion..grey? or silver?) baubles were squashed onto another single branch and inevitably, there was about four foot of naked tree! I cant find the star that goes on top either, no doubt it will show up. I was too afraid to look under the china cabinet, it will cause another job to be written on the list because I can guarantee there will be dust, and at this point, it's easier not to see it!

I hope your plans and preps for the Christmas holiday are going well and that you're enjoying some glittery anticipation, make yourself a hot chocolate and browse the deskers preparations...some of them are so well prepared that they have moved into non-christmas crafting for next year! I kid you not. Join us over at Sarah's.

I'm chuckling at your comment about moving on to non Christmas crafts....I wouldn't go that far but I did put all my Christmas craft stuff away yesterday more because I'd had enough of it than I'd actually finished it :-) I hope you manage to get your jobs finished soon so you can enjoy some chill out time.
Hugs,

I'm saying nothing about Christmas craft stuff as I can hardly find anything else as it's taken over and I'm fed up with it now and want to move on. What with that and Christmas paper! Lucky me i don't have to worry about the Christmas tree as it's the one job hubby enjoys and I let him do it. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x10x

I am sure all the jobs will be ticked off your list soon if I know you Julia. The tree looks lovely - hope you find the star. Sarah

My tree is still awaiting decoration - I like it to arrive just in time for Christmas. My darling daughter turned up with 150 bookmarks for me to edge so I guess my Christmas stuff will be packed away tomorrow and any spare time will be well spent helping Tilly.. All the best for Christmas and New Year. x x Jo 🌈

I'd love room for a big tree but can't face the huge clearout that would be required . I've not finished Christmas prep apart from the cards. Just needed a non Christmas play . And used Christmas stamps... go figure Helen #3

I am just at the stage you are by the look of it - still gift wrapping to be done and housework - there's something about Christmas decorations that illuminate all the dust and clutter that needs sorting! How lovely to have help with your tree decorating, it's quite magical when little ones are involved (although like you say there's a lot of moving decorations around afterwards). I hope you find your star soon.
Have a lovely Christmas,

Sounds like you had a nice time decorating the tree with the little ones. I’ve done with Christmas buying now, if we haven’t got it then tough luck. It’s not only me getting organised for post Christmas stuff, just saying….

Having my dear MIL with us for 6 weeks curtailed my crafting somewhat, but I love a fresh excuse🤣🤣 We went to Lidl this afternoon, my husbands idea! To get stocking fillers for my great nieces who are staying for two days. I bought him a stepstool for the caravan while we were there. They often have good things in Lidl. Food shopping at Tesco tomorrow and that should be us done! Happy WOYWW. Angela #12

Looks so festive! The tree sparkles! I posted my U.S. packages yesterday. All are supposed to be there before Christmas! Now yours. . . It’s been on its way for awhile but looks like it hasn’t left the states yet. No baking here yet, either! Some decorations… Happy Wednesday! XOX

No sort of Xmas crafting going on round here, so nothing to put away. Made two gifts, one knitting one sewing and that is about it. At least I am here desk hopping - that's better than I managed the last couple of weeks! Love the tree - ours is looking lovely if I do say, and we even did one for Darling Daughter (at her insistence!) in the flat, even though she won't stay there till January. DOH! Enjoy the family and the holidays. Happy day late WOYWW!

Thanks for your comment this week. I overestimated the state of my recovery and have been struggling with my wound the past few days. Determined to visit everyone this week but just a generic comment to save on the typing, been awake since 4am too - oh Man Hugs BJ#1

Hi Julia! I've got my Christmas gift shopping done, but haven't wrapped most of my presents yet. Happy belated WOYWW and Merry Christmas!
