What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 860

Hello Deskers, hope you're squaring up to the idea of next week being a December, we seem to have rather fallen through November with nothing to hold onto!  I've actually had a tidy up on the desk front, so have a flat surface from which to show you the cards I made at a friend's SU! Christmas card making marathon. It was a lot of fun.

I've also iced the mini Christmas cakes - no marzipan as they're for a stall at a school that is a nut free zone. I know I could make a marzipan alternative but for time reasons, I've gone straight to icing. I love marzipan but rarely use it on our Christmas cake because Mr Dunnit thinks it makes it too rich. He's right, but slightly mad.
The Christmas Fair that the cakes are actually destined for isn't till the 5th December but I'm going to be away from home next week so have to finalise loads of stuff before this weekend. There's nowt like a deadline! I'm going to West Yorkshire, Keighley,  to visit my Aunt - it will be fun and probably really help to get me feeling festive! Anyone about?

Neet, I hope you're joining us in spirit from your hospital bed...so looking forward to hearing that you and the ticker are working together! Love to you, and remember, if you show anyone the photo of me in the crochet hat, I will put you on the naughty list. IN CAPITALS.

Join us all over at Sarah's for a look at desks and more. Why not, it's fun and free..the risk of friendship is real and slightly unavoidable.

Oh wow, I'm not even baking for myself so I'm always super impressed with moms baking for school - it sounds horrid to me, but you did such a great job!

Merry last days of November!

Love your C. Cards there's nothing better than crafting with friends. I'm afraid I'm with Mr Dunnit, I like marzipan but can only eat a small piece and then remove the rest it's just too much. Hope you enjoy your visit to your Aunt, it's just what you need to get you in the right mood for Christmas. Wishing you a very happy woyww. Hugs Angela x9x

Love the mini Christmas cakes. Jo made us a cake that I am 'feeding' with brandy regularly :-) Hope you have a lovely time up north.

YAY room on the desk for card display and what a super lot of cards you've made. The cakes look cool too. Enjoy your time away. Hugs BJ#10

Great card making. Well done with your mini cakes. Does the icing discolour if there isn’t marzipan? We don’t eat fruit cake, but we used have a Christmas Madeira cake every year. They don’t seem to be available any more, which is a shame - just realized that being gluten intolerant I couldn’t eat it any way 🙄. Have a lovely time away Angela #4

What a display of cards. All fab. The mini cakes look lush and I totally forgot marzipan is almonds for a moment. I don't eat it or make it so I guess I can be forgiven :) Enjoy your trip oop Nawth to see your Aunt, deadlines be damned!
Happy day late WOYWW!

Lovely cards and your cakes look scrumptious. I understand a school being nut free but mine are all about the almonds.
Have a good week, hugs
