What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 711

Well, that was a rapid week wasn’t it! I have quite a lot of unfinished things because I’ve dared to think I would get back to stuff. Currently am taking a breath and finishing off. In line with current intentions, I need one card, so I made a handful.
This pic taken on Tuesday afternoon.

I’m very confident that the recipient doesn’t read this, so am not worried about showing. And telling…I wanted a winter based card because the birthday boy will be on a skiing holiday. Lying in bed on Tuesday morning I decided on penguins, I’ve got penguin stamps, it’ll be no problem. Yeah. Turns out the penguins stamps are PUFFIN stamps. Ah well, it’s the thought!
Distinctly and quite definitely Puffins, huh.
My Brussels sprouts glasses case is on my desk. After Christmas I wash the set (folding shopping bag, glasses case and purse, made by LLJ) and put them in the cupboard ready for use on the next December 1st. It’s landed on my desk because it was with a small pile of tea towels that needed to come downstairs. Mr D was the first downstairs and recognises a pile in the ‘to go downstairs’ position. He distributed the pile as makes sense to him, and completely foxed by where to put the non-domestic stuff, my desk seems a safe answer! And I’ve only got three pairs of scissors and a scalpel in current use, how restrained.
Share and tell, please. taking Ma In Law shopping this morning, but then, I’m home. Put the kettle on, I’m on my way!

I agree, a very quick week (again!) I really like the sprouts case, you should use it more than just for Christmas! the Puffin cards are just brilliant, even if you remembered them as penguins (why do our minds do that?!) Have a great week. Happy WOYWW

Puffins or penguins! No matter, both cute and they are seen in snowy places, so works for a skier, right? Enjoy your shopping trip, but maybe more so your hop with a cuppa after. Love the case BTW. LLJ is a treasure for sure. I’d use them allll the time. Don’t the say sprouts aren’t just for Christmas…

Hi Julia, just popping in to see who is around, your desk looks tidy than mine, but then mine is always a complete mess. I love your puffin stamp, I have a grandson who adores puffins.
Have a good day, Chris x

Good morning teacher, as old as I am I've never heard of Puffins ! so I googled it. Adorable little birds, quite interesting. And the cards are adorable. Is your mail back to normal????? I wish my desk had the clean space you are sharing. I just don't understand it. 3x I made a list of prompts for a challenge and guess what all 3 are buried or lost. It has to be age. Enjoy a great weekend. Happy WOYWW

Pufins are so sweet and the cards look great. It always makes sense when making a card for someone to make more than one because you never know when you may need one and there's no time to make it and anyway it helps to remind you if you're stuck for an idea too. Have a lovely woyww, Angela x11x

I think Puffin’s are great for a skiing holiday - I would definitely be “puffin” with all that exercise 🀣🀣. Lovely cards. I have “to go upstairs “ piles and my husband walks past them without a thought! Happy WOYWW. Angela #12

I need to go shopping this morning, promised I'd me out by 11am and still need to scrape car! Love the pile distribution scenario by DH, mine just leaves the pile somewhere, if he actually takes it upstairs but he often just circumnavigates it! Puffins look great, who'd know. BJ#17

Hi Julia, your puffins look lovely as a birthday card, could be snow on the Farne islands. I don’t see why you should only use your sprouts at Xmas. Your bag, your rules!
Our bottom of the stairs pile can be invisible but then Bella goes surfing on them😻😼
Take care and happy WOYWW

The Brussels look lovely on there, a great spot of colour on your desk. Not sure why you put them away for next December but it is a good idea, I guess it feels almost like a new set when they come out again.
I can well understand the mind thinking you had penguins and them turning out to be puffins, same colour scheme. Love both birds and would find it hard to choose between them. The way you have used the puffins makes for a lovely card, great Royal Blue with that split in the middle and the whole scene taking place there.
Hugs, Neet 3 xx
