What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 704

hey and welcome. Join in with this desk viewing stuff, it’s great to see you!
Well will you look at that, a daylight photo! Yep, taken on Tuesday afternoon whilst I was applying gentle colour to a sheet of reindeer. The green strips are actually unfolded cards that I stamped with a swirly pattern in white and decided it would be prudent to let the ink dry thoroughly before folding them again. Love the SU! White ink pad but oh boy, it needs drying time and I invariably forget. That lovely orange glow n my room is caused by the orange light on a plug in heater, I don’t think the light contributes anything to the actual heat being produced, but it gives a good impression! After I’d coloured and cut out these 8mages, I stuck them on the stamped cards and they  are now drying because I added a big blob of red perfect pearls and then holographic glitter to a certain reindeer nose. Then, because I didn’t have time to start anything else, and clearing up was out of the question, I spent a few minutes cutting up foam pads. Huh?
I bought a huge roll of them and turns out that even though the backing paper is cut, the actual foam isn’t. So now and then, I take five minutes to cut a few up…much more convenient than cutting to order, that roll really gets in the way!
And then 4pm rolled around and I had to down scissors and move onto something else. This morning, I’m out and about a bit too, so please bear with, I’ll be noseying as soon as I can!

oh. you're up early today! that is one big roll of foam pads and I can see that cutting a load before you need them is a good idea. Just don't lose the cupfull you've done.. Have a great WOYWW

Morning, got busy emailing a friend and didn't go back to bed so here I am. Love your rosy glow - ok, orange.
I decided to glossy accent one of the baubles on one of my cards and forgot. Stuck my clumsy mitts in it and blaahb a bit of a mess. Managed to resurrect it though.
Ah well, so much going on at the club it is taking too much of my time and I need to get on with my Christmas Prep. Made my cake Monday, fed it last night for the first time. Will it get marzipan and icing - yes, but maybe New Year at this rate. September next year is when the next one will be done!
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

That's annoying with the foam Julia - how organised of you to prepare in advance. The cards look good. I need a really decent white ink pad - half the time i end up using acrylic paint. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #2

Who isn’t out and about this time of year? Cutting up foam squares sounds quite a restful thing to do. Well, until a stray elbow dumps them all over the floor. Hope I don’t jinx you. Have fun in the cold weather and I bet the warm glow of that heater will make it feel even warmer when you get home!
Happy Woyww!

Good morning Julia, that’s a huge roll of foam pad! I love the white swirls on the green, what a great idea. I must see if I can find another local SU person. I say another because a few years ago somebody local was doing it, I gave her my order and never saw her again! I can’t quite make out the reindeer, but I am sure they are super cute. 😊 Happy WOYWW and have a great week. I like that bright green card very much with the subtle white stamping, a fitting background for Rudolph. That’s a lot of foam pads you’re going to be using, hope it’s worth all the chopping up into pieces.

Morning Julia, seems like you are learning a little patience - I'm always fiddling with things that haven't dried yet because I just forget and the results are rarely good! I had been considering a big roll of foam tape but you have made me wonder where I would put it - I think it would always be in the way so maybe I'll hold off until I have used the million or so foam pads I already have in my posession. Have a wonderful week!! Love n hugs Cindy xx #14

Wee hrs, woke up after a frightful dream. What do you do with this foam? It's a huge roll and I've no clue. We had ground covered snow since my post and now, schools cancelled due to road conditions! 45 on Thursday so it will melt away. New doors? look great
have fun finishing up those cards. Enjoy the week

Ooh thats a pain with the foam pads, must admit i have some like that and i tend to keep them for larger pieces as my patience wears thin, lol! Loving the heater glow, almost like a glorious sunset under the desk!

Oh my that's a big roll and disappointing that the foam isn't cut though! A white ink pad which does its job sounds like bliss despite the drying time. I'm STILL having issues with white pens, bought 2 recently but not great, all the white blobs on my pages aren't intentional - LOL. Looked up my blog of some pages I did on Advent previously and it would seem it was 10 years ago, seems like my crafting splurges come in 10 year cycles! BJ#18

Gosh, that's a big roll of tape and I love the idea of the red perfect pearls with the holographic glitter for the reindeer nose! Sounds quite idyllic with the orange-glow heater in there - we're allowed to put the central heating on for short burst throughout the day when we are at home - it does take the edge of the cold off until 5 o'clock when the CH kicks in full time for a few hours. Happy #704, Julia!

Love your desk but I bet you know where everything is. My store rooms may have been a tip but I could put my hands on whatever I wanted not like now even though all the boxes are labelled!!! Ani
