Some things n e v e r change.
I took this at 10 o,clock on Tuesday night. I note now that the lid isn’t on the tube of silicone glue, so that will be a good start when I can get back to the desk. I was using it to mend my turquoise readers....long story. I remember looking at the time and whizzing out, so it serves me right for pushing my luck against the clock. So you can also see something else unusual on my desk..the stamp platform thingy, under the card under the glasses. I’ve decided it’s time to pull out a skill or two and show people that it’s more versatile than they think. But I had this brilliant idea in between appointments yesterday and didn’t get very far at all! See at far right the hot choc late drum that was to be ‘altered’? Well I’ve pressed it into use as a bin. It may stay as a bin, but I’ll eventually cover it with some scraps or ridiculously expensive scrapbook paper that I suddenly have to have in my permanent line of vision!
Everything else is as it always is dear Desker, a mess and self explanatory at that. If it’s not, ask me. There’ll probably be a story.
Meanwhile, be more interesting than Julia and show us your desk. Put WOYWW in your blog post title and link here. Please.

forgot to take OFF the asterisk this week lol! Good to see your desk again this week and I love the little heart on your deckchair. I do hope your glue isn't dried out when you next need it. Helen #3
It's SO good to be back - I've missed you! Though comments may be short and sweet - not wanted to aggravate the elbow...
Happy WOYWW!

There is nobody more interesting than Julia, dear Julia. I love how you have started your second decade. Open adhesive and repairs. I look forward to seeing how you use that thingy and have you convince me that I need one! Your desk looks relatively clean this week and I would actually be comfy sitting at it (says the anal desker).
Morning Julia. Love the fact that you mended your specs with silicone glue!! See you Saturday.
Take care. God bless.

Hello Julia, all I can say is I wish I was as interesting as you !!!
Here's to the next ten years! See you on Saturday! :-) Anne X #9
Interesting to see other techniques with a stamp platform Julia. Look forward to hearing the results of your experiments. I too fear for the silicone glue if the lid was off overnight. It will make a good door stop though lol. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #12 (you can tell it's half term)
It’s so lovely to see things don’t change a lot. There’s something very comforting about it don’t you think? Like a comfort blanket maybe. Long may it last.
See you very soon. Wahoooooooo
Hugs,
Annie x
Hi Julia, Hope the glue hasn't hardened.
Your desk is busy as usual.
Happy WOYWW

Asterisk off! looking forward to Saturday! xx
Hi Julia, hope we get to see what you're doing with your stamp platform. I'm with the others....no change is good for me. Happy woyww, Angela x17x
I see I left my asterisk on - not me trying to be a star, honestly!
Will be good to see uses for the platform - I did know of several but this addled old brain of mine has gone into sleep mode and I cannot remember a thing.
Oh dear to the glue. I have a pet hate with glue bottles - the ones with long nozzles that make life so easy when they squeeze out a thin line - the darned things gunge up. Then I have to insert a pin and some times I poke the pin out further down, if you follow my drift, and then the glue seeps out down the side of the long thin nozzle and I get in a right pickle. After all that I hope your glue has not set for ever. But what fun picking it off - I do enjoy that bit.
See you Saturday! With a big hug! and here's a cyber one for now
Hugs, Neet 5 xx
Just noticed Neet's comment and realised I've left my asterisk on too - perhaps subconsciously after another swap! Hope you can salvage something from the glue tube. I love the stamp platform, it's a great invention - I've used mine a few times but not nearly as much as I thought I would (that's fairly typical of a lot of my craft stuff though. I would love to discover some more versatile ways of using it, I might then feel I'm getting my money's worth from it!
Have a great week,
Diana xx #18*
ah the joys of silicon, we have all done that, so many times I have had to cut half way down the tube because the nozzle is blocked! Warning.....it can spurt out if not totally set!!!
The start of the second decade, how amazing what you started and continue to do-thank you
kyla
Don't worry about calling before we go, I know you're snowed under with things to do, I'll PM you on FB. I espy the little needle felt that you made down here on your stand! I don't know where mine's gone.....oops. Hope your glasses don't stick to your head for ever more :-)
Looking forward to seeing you v v v soon!
Hugs LLJ 8 xxx
Hi Julia,we too are looking forward to seeing you on Saturday. Love my stamp platform, and me thinking I didn't need one! lol. Good ideas always seem to pop into our heads when we don't actually have enough time to do them, I find. Oops with the glue. That'll be a pain to dig out. Love & hugs, Shaz #7 XxXx
Oh dear sorry ... left the * in place ... brain failure I'm afraid!
Your desk is a hive activity compared to mine ... not even glasses to repair. Do have a craft mat in need of a good clean so that may well be today's task. I vowed NEVER to get a stamp platform ... not even one with Tim's name on it. But the travel sized one was on a ridiculous offer somewhere or another so I thought I'd give it a go - bloomin' 'eck it's a game changer! Have a fab time on Saturday and please give my love and a hug to anyone that knows me or anyone in need of love and a hug! Debbie xXx
Hi Julia... thanks again for your lovely comments over so many decades .. yes into the second decade eh? Don’t feel no different tho! 😁
Love your iPad chair, real eye candy whenever it appears. And I spy a WOYWW White cylinder at back right, too, very curious daresay there’s some real reason for it, hope you’ve rescued your glue without lid, silicone can be temperamental can’t it?! It’s now nearly 10pm here as had very busy day, tired so make few comments then bed.
God bless Julia and have a really smashing time at the crop, be thinking of you all on Sat and praying too.

Hi Julia, I'm indulging in a spot of lunchtime visiting. Lovely cute little heart! I've not quite done the same as you with the silicone glue, but got the same result/problem. I didn't notice there was a crack in the lid, so had to spend ages clearing all the gunk before the glue was useable again. Thanks for stopping by earlier - I'm so looking forward to Saturday and meeting you in the flesh, and the other ladies that I haven't met yet. Have a lovely week, Heather xx #11
Good to know I'm not the only one pushing against the clock. LOL. Have fun getting the silicone to Hugs & Creative Blessings! Kelly
I chuckled at the last line girl, I am totally not being more interesting than you... I shot you some carpet. in fact the studio/hobby room is the only room we have that has carpet in it, and I even vacuumed since it was visible on tuesday lol. ~Stacy 27
Your post had me cracking up! I love the comment about the bin and the expensive paper. LOL Have a wonderful week! Dorlene #28
Hopefully, I shall actually be able to take part a bit more often now I've finished the decorating. Also looking forward to meeting everyone on Saturday.
Here's to a second decade! Reading your post Julia, I came to the realisation that every single object or scrap on our desks has its own story. I tend to just leave stuff lying around, but I seldom tell their story! Then again, if I did, I would go on for pages and pages LOL! Might see you on Saturday if I can make it to Shrewsbury with family in tow for a day trip. zsuzsa #23
Oh, how many times have I left lids off the glue! Too many to count! I love the stamp platform, I would love to see more things to do with it! Have a great week, Lindart #30
I've forgotten to remove my asterix! Love the story of the glue- story of my life! I am intrigued about the stamp platform as I have never used one. Looking forward to finally meeting in person on Saturday! Happy WOYWW! Love & God Bless, Caro x (#15)
Oh Dear! Good Luck with the glue!!! Love that little heart!! I have a stamping platform but intrigued as to how you are going to use it - it's to small to tap dance on surely?? I shall look forward to being inspired to use it properly!!
Looking forward to Saturday! Hugs, Chrisxx 31
How cool! I have that same stamp platform!! It gets used a lot! My desk had a tube of E6000 yesterday to glue down the fabric on my car's door handles but it did get put away this morning.
Was a great time visiting last week though I didn't get quite all the way around. Hubby, house, and life have a tendency to interrupt me.
Have a wonderful weekend and share lots of pictures!

Great start to the second decade, Julia. Shame about the gel though - hope you've been able to save some. Looking forward to seeing you Saturday. Hugs, Elizabeth x #33
