Actually, two rooms. My desk is located in front of a door that gives access to the garden from the front of the house. We don’t use it much, but my desk is on wheels ready to move at a *cough* moments’ notice and oh boy, it has been moved...we, I mean he, is digging out the floor area of the extension. sand, damp proofing and joists need to be laid. And barrow loads of mud and spoil are going into the back of the van via my workroom. This explains the sight of my desk....all the things in piles in the middle are usually standing upright between the desk edge and the wall at left and right, the pink file full of patterned paper scraps is usually just on the floor somewhere. Mr Dunnit put it all back in place last night but I haven’t any plan to sit there today, so it will prolly stay like that for now. But...I’m on it. I dragged my pile of scrapbook papers into the lounge whilst the digging was going on before supper last night. And they are still there this morning because I lost the will to tidy up. No, really. I was looking for specific colours for a LO challenge. Part of that challenge is to use a photo that is predominantly one colour. So that rather scary 17 year old photo of me is finally going to be put on a scrapbook LO. There’s quite a long story attached to it, so I’ll have some journaling to do to explain myself!
That’s it from me, at last!

Hope all the messy work doesn't take too much longer Julia and that your desk will soon be back in its home. I look forward to hearing the story behind the photo! Happy WOYWW. Sarah #2
I too, hope the messy work is done soon and you are free to ahem.. tidy up... I woke early today from a nightmare about rewiring... can you imagine! I tried to enlarge your pic to get a good look at your 17 year old photo but couldn't...at first I thought you meant it was you at 17 lol now that would be a way behind with scrapping! have a great week. Ooh, exciting times...the extension work that is, not acres of mud and concrete travelling through your craft room! Still, needs must. That's a lovely photo of you, you haven't changed much 💖
Hugs LLJ 7 xx
Hope you are sooon back in orderly fashion! These house jobs make such upheaval - Max has been going through hers for the last 6 months - one day it will all be lovely! xx Jo
I hope all the mess is finished soon and you can get your space back where you feel comfortable! Hope you have a great rest of the week!

Hope normal service returns soon for you. It will all be sooooo worth it when it’s finished.
Hugs,

Happy WOYWW. Hope the extension is finished soon. It can't be easy living in the house when building is going on (I am so thankful we could rent the house opposite the farm whilst we did the renovation here). Look forward to seeing finished LO. Ali x #12
Oh Julia, you poor thing... There’s nothing worse than the disruption and mess when there’s building work going on! Let’s hope it’s completed quickly and all your precious stuff isn’t covered in dust. When we moved here it took months before I could say all the dust had gone! Keep smiling and I’m sure you’ll soon be looking just like your 17-yr-old photo lol! We’ve got a bit of dust after the plumber finished the new loo yesterday but it will soon settle.
Happy WOYWW,

What a great idea! Desk on wheels. I'm sure everything will move along now. That sounds like a clever take on words but I'm not usually that clever Lol!. Have fun with the journal and a happy woyww too, Angela x14x
It's always a nightmare when our system is messed up - everything has its place and then it gets moved, no matter how good the cause. I hope it doesn't take too long to get sorted again and that you manage to find the right papers for your photo. Happy WOYWW, have a great week. Love & God Bless, Caro xx (#16)
Oh crikey upheaval in the Dunnit household. To a lesser degree in ours too. We’ve got the decorator in after 12 years. Can’t turn a blind eye any longer to the filthy walls. I’ll be enclosed in the office today with the dreaded VAT. Forgot to tell you we have decided to stay registered after all but I’m not doing that spreadsheetie thing the accountant is. There’s more to life than lesrning a new accounting packaging at 63 year old. I’d rather mess about making a windchime from cutlery haha
Hope all goes to plan Julia

Hi there Julia, must be tad disconcerting to have pile of soil wandering through the craft room at appropriate (to Mr D) times.. and piles residing where they ought not be is doubly disconcerting!! Well done on making an attempt on your scrapping the seventeen year old you!! I’m not sure that’s something I’d attempt but that really is a classic it definitely needs scraping with suitable caption.
Happy WOYWW, pray you’re ok,

Hope you soon get through the mud and dirt stage - luckily if the weather stays dry it will make it a bit easier. Good luck with all the work though.
Lovely smiley photo of you, you don't seem to have changed much at all - good luck with journalling it and the words you are going to have to use.
Have a great week - countdown now on.
Hugs, Neet xx 1 (because women of a certain age ...)
Hi Julia, That looks like a lovely photo of you.
Hope the weather stays nice, so things don't get messy.
Happy WOYWW

Hi Julia, blimey, you'll be glad when it's all done! I have very few photos of me from years ago I'd share with the outside world, lol, but yours is looking good, particularly liking the green shade in the background. Love & Hugs, Shaz #4 XxxX
Someday your building work will be finished, the decorating will be finished and your craft room will be finished ..... hold onto the dream....
Have a good week

Hi Julia,
for me weeks turned into months and suddenly it has been over a year, yakes, where does time go to???
great to see that this community is still going strong, glad to join in again.
Vicky
That layout sounds exciting. I hope we get to see it completed very soon. xxx Maggie (Silvercrafter) #5
Hi Julia. I'm a little late to the party, too much partying here probably :-) son and husbands birthdays close together<
I think I am still getting over the upheaval of all new windows and complete bathroom refurb from last year- I don't envy you!
I find time is hurtling by at the moment. Just not enough hours. That said I need to go and do chores and will be back to visit later. Anne x #24
Hello lovely lady - yes it is I! Hope the messy work is over soon and you can stop moving around. Enjoy journalling that 17 yr old photo! Take care Zo xx
I do hate moving things 'round for a project but hopefully the finished project will be worth the effort. Lovely picture of you. Hope you'll share the page and story when you're finished. Creative Blessings! Kelly #26
Love your photo. Your moving around sounds so familiar .. I've too much stuff, too many kinds of projects, but you at least will have a finished area to enjoy. I spotted a lawn chair...oh for some warmth ! Enjoy the week, they just fly by.
Hi Julia, I hope the digging and hauling part of the project is over with quickly. it seems to me that when we have something going on here. ( even though nothing hauls through this space up here its out of the way) I do not have the Oomph to create. So I am impressed you could move to another room and get some things sorted and planned. ~Stacy #31
Hi Julia, sounds like you're having a time of it at the moment but I'm sure it will all be worth it when the work is all done and dusted. Can't say I blame you for taking refuge in the lounge - I have been known to escape to the caravan under similar circumstances. Time is whizzing by for sure so not too long before we meet again. Hugs, Elizabeth x #26
Thanks for your visit, Julia - so glad you like my slippers! Very much a work in progress still. More photos will follow in due course. It's going to be fun choosing wallpaper for the new loo!

I hope all the destruction/construction goes fast! Sounds like quite the ordeal! After visiting some other WOYWWers I can feel the excitement building for the 10th anniv. crop!!!
Hope you can get what you want done!
Have a great week, at least, a better half of one.

(Spoken in a quiet voice) Sorry i'm late Julia..
All that desk moving, digging and trips to and fro with the van will be so worth it, it will soon fly by and when your sat there looking out on it all when it's finished it will be so rewarding.
There's nothing scary about that photo.. i'm intrigued about they album!
I'll let you go back to sleep now.. Sweet Dreams. Tracey #33
Hopefully things will be back to normal soon! I wold love to hear the story behind the pic! Have a great week, Lindart #30
Hi Julia, sorry for the late visit. I survived the team building and just about recovered from it. Good luck with the remaining building work - it will all be worth it when it's finished. I love the photo of you, great layout too. Have a great bank holiday weekend, Heather #15
Ooohhhh, the mess, the noise... I hope it's all done and over by now Julia! I like the photo you are going to use on that layout. I am planning on making a layout this weekend (just waiting for the printer cardridges to arrive so I can print my photos) for two challenges that I want to squeeze into one layout (a sketch and a theme - luckely there is no specific color required - I find those the hardest to work with!) Hope you have a nice Friday/weekend. Hug from Holland. Marit #19
Looks like my commenting is playing up again! I did visit earlier in the week honest! :-)
Hope the renovations go quickly and looking forward to seeing what you do with the 17 yr page :0)
