What's On Your Work Desk? Wednesday 460

I can hardly keep up with the speed of the passage of time. Nor can I keep this up:
I know you can't tell, but this isn't just a tidy desk. It's been cleaned too...with proper cloth and spray stuff. The glass mat (under the scrapbook page) is actually reflecting light! See, I went to a crop at the weekend and before unpacking and finishing this layout, I decided to clean up and 'refresh'. Didn't take long and allowed me to put off the unpacking for a bit. Not much to see though! More glasses than a gal can use at once. More scissors than a gal can use at once. More glue.....oh heck. I've got a lot of stuff, but you know that. The patterned card just falling off the iPad stand is home-made, will do another and prolly share the 'technique'. I think the idea was originally Neet's. It most certainly wouldn't have been mine. The photos are of the Bees Stadium in Salt Lake City...I was going to make them the next page to do, but they didn't speak to me as much as the photo I'm currently shuffling around the page!  It's not a very dark early morning, more a late night shot. This post is scheduled because I was massively silly and made an appointment for first thing this morning and I don't trust myself to be on time if I start blogging and desk hopping! So..when I get home, please let me find you've linked your desk and its weekly story!

the card falling off your i-pad stand is pretty so I look forward to the tutorial! I hate the start of "summer time" as the mornings are so dark again. Hope you aren't late for your appointment

Well, certainly interested in the technique, especially if it is something I have known and forgotten.
Hope you make it in time for your appointment, why do we do these things to ourselves? Why do I get up early on a Wednesday morning to link in to WOYWW? Well, at least ~I can answer that one, I cannot do to miss it and I like to see what you and others are up to. Can cope much better commenting when I am early.
Love the tidy/clean desk - puts me to shame - must lift up my mat - and stuff - and do something - ugh!
Love, Neet 2 xx

Wow! I'd say congratulations are in order! Wish I could do the same! Instead I've abandoned my craft room with it's too many glues, scissors, etc., and work in the garden!

Scrapping on a tidy desk what a delight to behold. It wasn't even light at 6am with the clock change last weekend so who can tell the time of day LOL. I used you wrapping paper when I began painting my tree, jolly useful. BJ#4

Lovely desk, many scissors but can never find a pair when wanted, lots of glues but never the correct one and as for specs can't comment as only take mine off to sleep. Like early morning appointments it means that usually they are on time. Ani#6

Tidy desk and early morning appt?....how organised are you? Of course it doesn’t give us so much to rummage through during our visit so make sure it’s messy again by next week please.....and hope the appt goes well.
Hugs,

It wasn’t the cold chill of morning that made me shiver Julia, it was the mention of cleaning and polishing that did it...made me come over all peculiar.
Hope you got to your appointment on time

Gasp!! Who are you and what have you done with the real Julia?! Have I wondered into a parallel universe full of tidy desks?! :o) Hope your appointment goes well - funnily enough, I am waiting for an appointment myself, which is why I have time to post this week. Happy WOYWWday. Annie C #15

Well, at least one person is happy - I've linked.
It is very cold here today and I cannot get my head around it, shivering and dancing in the breeze methinks.
Hope all went well with your appointment and you are safely back at your spotless, germfree, shiney, very shiney desk!
Have a good week

Hi Julia, That is one tidy desk Lol! Not sure I will ever get like that but I have arranged for some older stamps to leave home so maybe I will be able to use the space they make to clear the desk a bit. Have a great woyww and happy crafting. Angela x19x

Hi Julia, I too am now looking forward to whatever that technique is. I'm a sucker for an interesting technique, lol, even if I don't actually know what I'm going to do with it! I never know why I make early appointments- I hate having to be in a rush in the mornings. Love and hugs, Shaz XxXx

Like the look of that fallin card - you must share! I can't keep it up either. Did a huge tidy last week and I'm knee deep in chaos again already. I seem to be constantly tidying up Just have to suck it up I suppose. Have a good Wednesday!!

Way to clean up girl...every once in awhile it has to be done. I think it gives a new perspective. but I like the mess of others, makes a good snoop.

Hi Julia, Okay, what have you done with the real Julia? ;)

Now if you took photos of either side of your desk, would it show everything piled up waiting to fall to the floor?:) LOL

Happy WOYWW

Looks like you had a lovely time there in Salt Lake City. I always wanted to scrap book my road trip pictures and this reminds me that I should give it a go sometime. Beautiful way to preserve some memories other than on the digital files on the PC ;) Have a lovely week! xo Cheetarah #30

Looking pretty good today. Mine is so full that I can hardly find a place to work. Trying to finish Easter cards, several sympathy cards and birthday. One of these days I hope to be able to do what I want to do. Happy Easter. Edna

Hi Julia, I believe you ... when desks are as old, battered and well loved as ours there's no way you can tell whether they've been cleaned properly or not. And there is an obvious clear space on yours this week - you'll fill again soon I'm sure.I'm liking the line of hearts I can see on the the layout - they pick up the colour of the sand in the photo. Hope the appointment went well. Hugs, Elizabeth x #28

It must signify something this urge to cleanup. It is nice to see you restricted the cleanup. too much clean up would signify the onset of a disease. Early appointments usually mean medical as they like to see the revenue for the day before commencing!
have a great week and may all your egg be Cadbury caramel creams.

Hi Julia. I'm not used to seeing your desk so clean and tidy! I never thought about taking my pics the night before and preparing a post ... would make sense for the mornings when I have an 8am meeting at work, so am up and out early, with not much time for anything more than a shower and a coffee! Have a lovely week Heather x #37

I am so far behind and late this week doing anything...I am just glad I made it to post. My brain is overworked and I am so forgetful. I think your desk looks very tidy especially compared to my mess of a desk. Hope you are having a great week. Vickie #39
