What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 412

I've shuffled stuff around to accommodate the business 'books' and two paper pads that I picked up in the pound shop last week. I was with my sister. She made me. Steph now lives in Eagle, Idaho - anyone nearby that she and I can visit when I get there in June?
I've had a week, Steph came home to help support our other sister in her bereavement. It was a bittersweet time for the three of us. So you understand why I didn't get to any desk visiting last week. This week is far more likely, after lunch! I'm off to another medical appointment this morning. If we are friends on Facebook, you cant have missed my current status - am facially swollen gentle reader, from some sort of infection. It's not pretty and I've had enough of it, so this morning I plan to be a slightly impatient patient!  Don't wait for me though, show some of your awesome spaces will you? I really need the distraction!

your desk is enjoying some sunshine... hope we get some today, it's freezing right now. Shame your sister's visit was for such a sad reason, but good that you could all get together. Hope the visit re the eye goes well and they sort you out without keeping you in!!

Hope they can sort our poor eye out, Julia. You are in the wars. It looks very sore. You are amazing the way you keep us deskers together each week, regardless of what is happening at Julia Towers. Take care of yourself and hope you can manage to enjoy a bit of that lovely sunshine bathing your desk.

Happy WOYWW. Hope your doctor can offer some help with your eye later. I had something similar after the horrible flu, and it was very unpleasant. Eye drops became my best friend! Ali x #25

So sorry to hear about your face, Julia, and I hope they can sort you out OK. It must be very uncomfortable for you. Also, very sorry to hear about your sister's bereavement, and I am sure you are a great comfort to her. I am glad you are able to do some stuff to take your mind off things a bit - your desk looks industrious as always!

Don't worry about not visiting - you have other things to think about!

Happy WOYWW,

We had a lot of bereavements in the family a couple of years ago - it got to the point where we would say to each other "see you at the next one" - we are the sort of family who make jokes even in situations like those - ESPECIALLY in situations like those. It keeps us strong and together.
Your desk looks very tidy today... too tidy?
Oh, and I do believe I have those paper pads too lol

Hope your Wednesday proves to be productive - and try to not to be too much of an impatient patient :)

I am so sorry to read of your families loss Julia, (and Oregon is the state to the west of Idaho) but, I am not familiar with where that city is off the top of my head, I know its a 9 something hour drive from where I live to Boise Idaho? ( so, its not really "close" )

I love how the light is streaming through your windows in this shot too!

OH, I am sorry for your loss. I am glad your sis was able to come home and give support to you all. I also am trying to figure out why my face is swollen. I have not eyelids or eyelashes because of swelling. We think it was BP meds doctor started me on. So, now he took me off and I am on allergy pills. hmm. I hope you find out what is going on with you. I am in USA, but quite a ways from Idaho! (I mean days away, driving.) Wish I could meet you, though! #35

Julia, I have been following WOYWW for a couple years now but have been "blog impaired".

I used to live in Idaho and work in Idaho. I know right where Eagle Idaho is!! I have been through there many times.

My job had transferred me to North Idaho. We moved just across the border to Clarkston, Washington, where I still live. I am retired now.

I read about your visit to your sisters in June. I could come to visit and meet you. I would love too! I am about a 4-5 hour drive away, but that is a short distance considering your little jaunt to Idaho. I am busy June 2, 3 & 4th but free after that. I would love to come over.

I hope you had luck with your Dr., and he'll be able to kick that infection. I'm also sorry to hear about your Sister's loss. Take care.

I do hope the medical folks can give you some relief. I wish Asheville, NC was closer to Idaho- almost as far as where you are now!

Thanks for your visit, Julia, and I hope today finds you feeling a bit better. Thank you for your kind words about my desk - I think it's messy when I can't find a square inch to work in! I got the little rack for my tapes years ago - can't remember which craft site - you can get several and stack them if you want.

Your desk looks in a lovely position. When I was in UK I was in all the Pound shops looking for craft supplies. Sorry you have had a tough time recently, we all put off going to the doctors when we are ill. haha. Looked on facebook but couldn't find you. this is my facebook link if you want to accept me as a friend.
