What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 399

Three hundred and ninety nine. Seriously that's a lot of weeks and I've really only just realised. How many times you've witnessed the mess and read of the  excuses. Oh my word. Well if nothing else, I'm incredibly consistent.
Taken just before 4.30 yesterday, after a sort of tidy. You can still see the precarious piles at right, but at least they aren't just piles of same old. This time they speak of work that has been carried out. I wonder how long it will be before I move that little pot of water. Away from the table edge would be good, if not into the kitchen! So you see the detritus of workshop sample making, and I've cleared a bit so I can now cut and prepare the cardstock etc. There's a small canvas at left that I made for a sweet friend years ago. It needs some attention to the photo and I'm now at the stage of not wanting responsibility for it any more, so it shall be on my to do list this week!
Last week's comment box problem was fixed for me by Leelou Blogs, who designed this new look. I love it, hope you enjoy its lack of clutter as much as I do. Show me how it's going on your desk then...put WOYWW in your blog post title and link it here, fab.

Morning! indeed I do like the new uncluttered look - especially with the restored comments box!! that pot of water does look a little precarious; but at least you don't have carpet on your floor if (when?) it topples... my rug is still blue! (mainly cos I haven't tried to clean it..) Love that tin on the right, it looks like it is full of chocolates with the bright contents!! Have a great week, and hope you're not missing Jan too much :( Helen

i thought that was a tin of chocolates to the right of your picture and that there was a chocolate by the side of the blue tray. Guess what? I have my glasses on too. Put it down to tiredness at this late hour (11 pm where I am and just back from an 8 hour drive)
Love the orangey glow on your picture, and the new look!
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

I like the new look of your blog and glad we can comment again :-) Knowing me I already would have spilled that water on the floor if it was that close to the edge of the table. That box filled with little pots look yummy.

Bonjour Julia! I last played WOYWW about 2-3 years ago!You know, inmany ways I wish I had a desk like yours, it looks so arty and creative but my little corner is shared, (okay dumped upon), that it has to be kept clear for one and all. Like you I am down with a cold after 4 weeks of a Christmas virus followed by a throat infection. Time of the year! Get well soon an thanks for letting me join in on WOYWW even though it isn't much! Love Neet seeing chocolate everywhere! I saw the goodies (paints) in the tin and thought sweets!!)It's post Christmas. We must still be on Sugar Highs!.
I really like the uncluttered look, and I often achieve it (hmm..for about 2 days!!).THEN creativity strikes and I'm off to those drawers and boxes, pulling things out, and finding those pens...Oh dear!

Have a good week "Julia".

ah dear Julia finally made it over here ... been bit snowed under or really "warm-summery-weather" under with visitors etc but good to catch up in between them. wow nearly up to the 400!!!!
Well done indeedy, for hanging in there that long, and so faithfully! I joined in Jan 2010 so been here a while too.

Totally loving the new cheery and yes also uncluttered look, love the colours been seriously well actually meybe "half-heartedly" thinking about revamping my blog too.. one day ;)

MM your desk is very familiar as I have a precarious pile (just out of shot) on mine. This time last year my pile was oh so tidy I seriously need to do something again soon.
I also have Scrappy Mo's Rudolph day challenge and a NUBUS challenge on with WOYWW so very very busy post...

Hi Julia, saw the pics of your samples yesterday, some gorgeous cards there. Love the tin of H2O's. Never use mine half as much as I should.Thinking I need one of those funnel thingys- I had so much mess with micro beads the other week, I was sat there thinking 'Now I know why they are such a good idea!'. Love and Big Hugs, Shaz #5 XxX

At least you don't have any brushes sitting in that pot of water. I've been known for letting brushes soak for days - which is not how you're supposed to look after them - still better than letting the paint dry on them though! Loving the new look of your blog! I've just given mine a makeover too! Happy WOYWW! The big 400 next week - sounds incredible! Will make sure not to miss it! zsuzsa #22

Happy WOYWW - and so glad the comment box is back. I am terrified of knocking over my paint pot, so take it away whenever I am actually not using it. I have my drinking water in a bottle, so again there is no risk of clumsy me making a big mess. Ali x #30

Hello Julia. I'm not joining in this week, wanted to say thank you for popping by last week. Obviously I wasn't able to comment on your blog! Love the new look, am contemplating changing mine. Hope to be back next week. Anne x

Oh yes, the new comment box look is definitely an improvement. And please, mover the pot of water... I can see it wobble (but maybe that's because I don't have my glasses on...) Happy woyww and have a great week! Hug from Holland, Marit #27

For some reason all I can see it that Upward Lunging atg gun (pink no less) and thinking ooh, you would NOT want to slip and land on that and have to explain it to the A&E staff.. ...I can hear the line of enquiry - So you regularly craft naked do you Mrs Garner????

It may be my attention is drawn because I dug mine out of its packing and have had endless gluing JOY this week...really a crafter is not complete without one however they choose to attach it to themselves or other objects...And it was through WOYWW that I learned of its many wondrous purposes....

You do have more than a 12x12 space to work...that little pot of water did catch my eye. It would have been tipped on my desk, I've a clumsy tendency with liquid. I do love the look of your blog. WOW 399, isn't it amazing how much fun we've had, friends we've made, and thoughts we've shared. LOVE IT.
Enjoy a lovely week dear lady.

Oh, that little pot of water would make me nervous as I'm sure I'd knock it right off the edge there. Looks like you've been busy creating and tidying! Have FUN tidying this week!

Love the new look, though the 'clean' really doesn't match our workspaces, does it? LOL Glad things are running smoothly in spite of precariously perched items. Creative Blessings! Kelly #41

Hi Julia! I've missed you all so much--I am back today for the desking. And I'm shocked that it's number 399! That's amazing. Sorry I'm not showing an actual craft desk today but instead, I'm at the "desk" in the theatre...my dressing room. Hugs! Sandy Leigh

Listen Julia at least you've got something going on on your desk and have had for nearly 400 weeks. Don't think I can confess to that.
There's a definite plan needs making in this house to get me firstly to do the filing on a daily if not weekly basis so that it doesnt touch the ceiling and secondly an anchor putting on my brain to make me focus on one thing at once. Aaaargh !!!
Congratulations though on nearly 400 fantastic weeks, I think it is wonderful and so great that you keep us all together.

I'm just going to say this and then I will shut up, apparently there are ATG videos out there...I am thinking extreme close up. working girl, mother, wife , etc etc, still finds time to shove her ATG where the broom usually goes and STILL manages to get her layout one before tea.. what do you think?

great looking desk! I try to keep my water container to the upper left because my coffee cup usually sits to the right and if mine were sitting where yours is I probably wouldn't have to worry so much about it spilling as me drinking it...yuk! Love the box of all those twinkling water colors! I own some but not for sure exactly where they are right now...Have a great week. Vickie @53

Hello...we have Interwebs..woohoo!! Nice to see that your usual standard of deskery has been maintained. Don't knock that water though!
Even though I won't have much to show, I will definitely join in next week...400 desks, wow, that is a real achievement 😊🍾💐

Your desk doesn't look too bad at all Julia.
Had to laugh at the pot of water. If I left that on my desk, it would be all over the place. My granddaughter loves to "help" Nana by handing her things (usually never anything I need lol) and I'm sure that would be the first thing she would go for!
Have a wonderful week!
