Well, some of you will smile...
The long spoken of, massively over-hyped, seriously put off and desperately boring ribbon storage solution is being engaged. These are the first three to be wound. OK - they're the only three, but hey, every journey starts with the first step. And just look how far I'll have come.....
Sharing this with Annie's smiles..go there for a smile..a nice way to start a browsing session.

That's super, very credit worthy, you really are fantastic at doing tidying tasks making me feel like I should do the same too...... but.......... those pegs really do need smily faces on the tops!!!
Jo x
With my stash of ribbons that would taken an eternity.
Made me laugh to see the three neat ribbons and the rest waiting to be done...I wonder if you will get them all done or give up half-way through as something more interesting comes along? Thanks for sharing. Caro #7
very tidy and efficient of you. Im always amazed at the things people re-use in crafting.

Hi Julia, well it made me smile and the end result looks fabulous, hope you get more done soon! Hugs, Anne x
I'm with Jo that they really need faces :-)....3 down and only another couple of hundred to go :-)
Hugs,

This did make me smile - there aren't enough pegs in the world to do this to my ribbon stash!!
What a great idea.....love it

Love the idea, made me smile... You've got a lot of work! Carole Zxx
Life's to short to tidy ribbons and sort buttons and stuff a mushroom
A small step for ribbons, a giant leap for Julia!
Standing O for you, Julia! And so nicely wound they are! See, me? I'd not be able to do anything else until they were all wound. You're lucky you don't have that maniacal taskmaster up in the party in your head!!
Q: Once all ribbon is pegged how will you store the pegs lol
I have my collection of American seam binding stored on pegs ... the rest are either wound round bits of card or hanging from ribbon holders or, if very short, just in stuffed into a bowl! I keep thinking I should find a better way but haven't devised one yet! You've reminded me that Anne Lamott's father said that to begin to write a book about birds you started with the first bird and then continued to write bird by bird - baby steps :) Hugs, Elizabeth xx
That's a really clever idea, and it makes the clothespins look cool. Blessings!
Those three neat clothespins certainly put a smile on my face! And the big jar made the smile a laugh!
Well done! Mind you I like the look of the jar of ribbons - looks like art in itself! xx
This is a seriously clever smiley. I keep thinking I should iron mine but I a bit lazy. xx Flora
Just do a couple each day and you will soon have them all sorted! They need little smiley faces on top of course. x Jo
I started doing the very same task, but then run out of pegs. Off to town on Monday to get some more and then I show everyone a photo on Wednesday. Really helps to tidy up a ribbon collection. Ali x
My ribbons and fibres are all stuffed into the biggest bowl I could find and overflowing onto the shelf and I can never fine one without spilling half a dozen others - would you like to come and do something sensible to mine as well? You would be very welcome.
Once done will be fab x
Yeah!! Welcome to the clothes peg ribbon club!
Now you need to start burning Yankee candles! The larger jars are the perfect size to store these in!! And it is recycling in a nice way!
xx
My goodness, look at that. What a dent you've put in your ribbon jar! You are right, every journey begins with one step. I'm about to journey into my craft room to clean up one mess before I start another. Good going girl! Soon that jar will be so organized.... Have a great week.
Mission Accomplished. I did smile!!
Cute, could be an evening project.
You go girl!
