This is vey possibly the hardest puzzle I've ever attempted, and I don't mind telling you, I'm not enjoying it! It was a Christmas gift from my sissy who takes a mean photo....and then turns them into mean puzzles. I expect she thinks it's hilarious! Here's the beautiful pic that inspired her to create this monster...
It's no help, to be honest, and I'm sort of gently achieving a couple of pieces a day. Mr Dunnit has done the majority, his patience for colour matching is incredible! It's harDDD! So, I'm being very enthusiastic and encouraging of the door liner work in my workroom, I very badly need some desk time. And I won't be using purples and lilacs on anything very soon! How's your desk then?
Wow, I can see what you mean... a beautiful photo but a fiendish jigsaw! Good luck...My sister gave me one of baked beans once.. orange, and more orange... i gave up on that in the end! Happy WOYWW and have fun when you get into the craft room.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an excellent picture to make into a jigsaw! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo but a tricky jigsaw indeed. Hope you can get back into your craft room soon Julia. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #2
ReplyDeleteBlimey that’s a monster! I love a good puzzle, and use them as therapy - all the standing up and sit down and walking around the table is good for me when I feel too weak to do much else. But I’m told by Jackson that puzzles can be bad for cats as they may try to EAT a dropped piece! I doubt poppy is like that but you never know… Enjoy and share the finished product with us when done. Then glue it together and never do it again! Hee hee
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!

What a beautiful jig saw . Clever sis! I can see why it is taxing your patience. My kind sis has passed her sprout one to us. Madness!. Hope you get your crafty space back soon. x x Jo
ReplyDeleteAll I can say to you is 'sprouts'....it was all green and every piece was the same shape/size. I hope yours has at least got different shaped pieces....and, unlike green, I love purple :-) Have fun.

Ooh that does look difficult!! Reminds me must find a puzzle to take on our 3 week trip to Tenerife in February!! I find it very distressing if my man comes into my craft space for essential maintenance - he tries to tidy up!! Have a great week, love n hugs Cindyxx #10
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a nightmare to me. I bought some during Covid and only opened one and then packed it away. Shame really but maybe some day I'll be bored enough to get them out again Lol! Hope you get back to your crafting soon. WOYWW hugs Angela x11x
ReplyDeleteIt’s a beautiful puzzle but I feel your pain! I am seriously thinking of giving up on the Klimt triptych as I’m making very little progress and getting a sore neck from looking for pieces. I have never given up on a puzzle before but reckon it will take me to Easter at my current rate of progress! Catriona
ReplyDeleteOooh jigsaw, my nz family sent us one that also had a digital part!! Needless to say we did NOT do it, however, hubby has just started another jigsaw in the past week, which is odd as i cant remember him doing one for years!! Must be a 'thing' lol

Next Christmas . . . remember this puzzle when buying presents he! he!
ReplyDeleteMore power to your elbow, never been one to do jigsaws except with children, easy peasy ones!
If Mr Dunnit gets tooooo bored, send him up here. Lots of leaking doors needing draft proofing . . .
Have fun finishing the puzzle and I hope you're back crafting soon
I aim to stay in this room for a few days . . . .

What a gorgeous photo and super puzzle. Adore the colour just up my street. Sorry it's proving rather difficult so hope the door liner is sorted pdq. Assuming it's actually a Lilac blossom, I had some Lilac oil for Christmas, love it. Hugs BJ#15 full of cold but can still smell stuff.
ReplyDeleteIt’s a lovely photo but I’ve come to a stage of my life if something is not giving me enjoyment then I don’t do it! The jigsaw gods will not know - I don’t finish books either if they’re not satisfying. Go me and my rebellious streak! Hope you are allowed back in your room soon xx

Oh happy day. Loving that puzzle, I don't have one out this year. Table is decorated for Valentines Day. And no new ones this year. With December being so nice we were gone a lot and I am trying to clear out "STUFF"....little by little. Could be years !!!! I popped down to your last post and knew I had a project to do, but memory failed me. SYMPATHY Cards. we had 6 families losing loved ones in Dec. I need to make cards. Thanks for the reminder. I like to have them available. Enjoy a great week. Thanks for being here.
ReplyDeleteWell I agree with Jan, if it’s giving you a headache, put it back in the box or let Mr Dunnit finish it. Love that lilac colour on the edge, not a lover of jigsaws. They remind me of looking for something to watch on the TV, such a plethora or items and I get fed up in the end and put on Harry Potter 🤣🤣. Happy WOYWW. Angela #12
ReplyDeleteMy desk is like me, lacking! I can't say mojo has gone but he isn't showing up these days. Apart from my Thursday blog post, which I feel committed to with a friend, I have not done anything. I need to get my head around it for tomorrow. It's the only thing keeping me crafting at the moment. Thank goodness I like the topic, its the quote I don't find easy to illustrate.
ReplyDeleteI am not a jigsaw'er so this one of yours would drive me nuts. I love the colours so maybe I would like that - for a while, colour matching that is, but then I'd have a hissy fit and wander off.
Good luck, bet it's finished next week.
Hugs, Neet 4 xx
Hi Dear Miss Julia
ReplyDeleteLOL Poor Mr. D. Bob is the same way except he will scroll FB and YT or retire to his man cave where he has a heated/ massaging recliner and his TV. I hope your back to crafting soon.
Love the puzzle! With Mr. D's talent for color matching, have you thought about turning him into a card maker?
Your sissy also has an eye for color. Treasure this piece of her.
Hugs & Creative Blessings! ~ Kelly #18
Hi Julia, it’s a lovely picture, but if it’s driving you mad, I’d put the puzzle back in it’s box! Hope you get your desk back soon.
ReplyDeleteKeep warm and happy WOYWW

Hi Julia! I'm finally back after missing a few weeks. That puzzle reminds me of the one we got a couple of years ago - it was so-o-o-o hard, it sat on the table for a couple of months, then we needed the table, so we bundled it up and now it sits under my comfy chair in the living room. Every once in awhile I see a stray piece wandering around that the cats have pulled out...I don't think it will ever get finished! When we are dead and gone someone will find it...Good luck with yours! Lindart #20
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, I saw your question about the stuff hanging from the guttering pipe in the cabin. They are rolls of ribbon, I thought I might use them more if they were within easy reach. I think it was sunny the day I took that photo which is why it looked quite bright in there but the white walls help too and I have good lighting when needed. I am very lucky to have a hubby who is good at these jobs. Happy crafty week Angela x11x
