What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 749

Well, I've tried to rally my mojo and remind it that this is a time of year when I could well do with a lot of productivity. We'll see. The last few days, post chores, I've made a bit of an effort. In the light of having missed two consecutive crops and an upcoming scrapbooking weekend, I felt the need to make a layout or two. To see if I still could, to be honest.
This will probably give BJ even more vapours ...I've finally done a page about last years WOYWW Crop! Underneath that are a couple of other LOs referring to other events in my life last year. In fact, I'm not sure the box of photos (just at the left by the glue) actually contains any of this year's pictures yet! After I'd taken this photo, I got a chance to get back to it, so I cleared up a little and yes, broke out the Christmas stamps. Kathy declared that I had a relatively small collection (by comparison, that is, to hers), which rather pleased me. It was also nice to go through them and both Kathy and Kathy admired stamps that I haven't used for years. So I've started with those stamps; so, far just experimenting. This photo is literally how it looks this morning..
Gosh, clearly I need coffee, seems I've got a shake on! Ah well, you get the gist!
Show and tell then gentle Deskers, it was great to catch up with you last week. My word, my week has been a lot less out and about without my Kathys. It's not the same!

  1. I know how you don't care how old the photo is, as long as it eventually makes it into your scrapbook. I can relate. I have the same "problem" when working in an altered book.

LOVE your amazing Christmas card, even if you have the blurries. I have declared it's a word! It's always nice to be ahead of the game.

  2. I'm impressed Julia with your productivity.. just read back over your last posts and Kathy visit sounds like fun.
No more travels for me. I'm a homebody now and quite grateful. I'm most impressed you're doing Christmas, well done.. love the card youre working on.. I actually made my first Christmas card this year on today's post too.
Thanks for sharing, and may God bless you. So glad I could join in today. Happy WOYWW 😊

  7. Well done you for getting to the photo so quickly....I have 3 years of ATCs to make books to keep them in yet!! I can't click on the pics to enlarge them so can't see in detail.

  8. Happy WOYWW. My small amount of scrapbooking stash (and a pile of photos) are firmly stored away for now. Definitely not feeling the urge to do any layouts. Ever hopeful that will change. Christmas cards - perhaps will start by the end of this month. I do have plenty of charity cards left over from previous years, but I will make a few for very close family. Ali x #11

  9. That ia a lovely photo and brings back great memories. I'm sure there are lots of people with much older photos than that waiting to see the light of day and that uncludes me. Good luck getting started with the C Cards too. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww. Hugs, Angela x13x

  11. That is an active desk! I think the peace card is lovely and expresses what is needed right now. And who cares when or even if photos get used, you do what you feel like!

  12. Thank you Thank you Thank you (as Giovani on Strictly would say) for last week's comment and the "permission" to do a page with just one (maybe two) photos. (see my blog). Love your single photo page and will be taking your lead from it. As for the vapours they are worse regardless, my Thyroid function is normal so it's just the menopause causing it all but don't mention the rising Cholesterol level as well- Hmmmm. what's a woman to do!!!??? Hugs BJ#16 and still in nightie - Oh my life.

  13. Yikes. Woke up to a dead iPad so unable to comment from bed, woe is me. But I get you - somehow the magic of the outdoors is diminished without someone to share it all with, especially if it is new to them. Even well-worn, much visited places seem shiny a new what you are sharing a first time experience with someone else. Looking lovely and festive on your desk, despite the shake!

    Happy WOYWW Day!

  15. Oh you make me feel so organized. I have a space so similar most of the time and I just shutter... even have lost my phone in one mess a time or two. If I could set up the SMART WATCH I won I'd be able to find it quicker. But I have to have a grandkid do that I can't use the tiny buttons to set it up. Getting OLD sucks. Enjoy your week, it all falls into place. Thanks for being so faithful for these posts. NO Christmas for me yet. I do have Halloween decor out and several birthday cards for OLD people !!! in the works. Hugs

  16. You are doing well with scrapbooking from just last year...I think I'm at least 5 or more years behind! I'm at the point where it probably will never get done and I will resort to photo books. Which are not terrible! Breaking out the Christmas stamps already...well I guess it is time, I usually am too late getting them out at the end of November! I may have to follow your wise example! Have a great week, Lindart #19

  18. Oh my goodness...I did join in earlier, honest! I was number 16. But I'm not there now...I bet I forgot to press something! I have a lot of Christmas stamps I haven't used, mostly the kind you get from magazines, so I've told myself I will try and use them theis year... but I won't promise! Have a great WOYWW!? #21((Lyn))

  19. Love your peace card, Julia. Just what we need right now. I don’t think it matters when you use a photo - do art and crafts as the mood takes you.
Catching up today. Have a good week

  20. I was so sure I had commented last week but called to check on something and couldn't find my comment. I wonder if i clicked the cross at the top rather than the orange box. I do tend to do that sometimes. Sorry if i did, or didn't which means I never even commented.
You know I have often commented at our club that once you have used your Christmas stamps a couple of times you want something different and suggested we do a Christmas Stamp Swap at some time but it falls on deaf ears. Mind you I think a lot of what I say falls on deaf ears. But good to see you bringing yours out and using them again. I have some I would use after a good gap, especially the one about drinking Vodka!
    Hugs, Neet 9 xx
