Save the Date

I hadn’t really given a lot of thought to week 600 for WOYWW, except that its a nice round number and that it’s heaving into view rather quickly, given that it actually falls on December 2nd. Well, a few of you have mentioned it in your WOYWW posts and there’s been some chatting behind my back about doing something. So, encouraged by LLJ and Shaz, we are going to. Something that most of you seem already to be doing in these socially-distanced times. 

A ZOOM Crop on Saturday December 5th. There’s nothing to it from your end, as a lot of you already know. 

You will need to download the Zoom App to take part.
Also you need to spend some time achieving the kindest angle for your phone/tablet/laptop on your desk. It is a given than none of us look our best on these cameras, and that part of it isn’t important. It will just be smashing to actually see you.  We’ll try to work out timelines so that our international Deskers can join us too. 

We have the best ever tech support for this undertaking, Shaz Silverwolf’s hublet, Doug. We heart Doug. He will set it all up so that I can publish a meeting password and number to gain you entry. That’s it for now, if there are questions, please ask. I will talk about this and the date quite a lot between now and then, but please understand that access details wont be published until very much closer to the date.

I wonder if my hairdresser will stay overnight at my place on December 1st.....

    I have a question. Can I join Zoom if I don't have a camera on my desktop? I don't have a cell phone OR a laptop. Just asking.

    How smashing ❣️To be zooming with crafty mates sounds just the thing. Tips for the camera shy is to grow your hair long & tie it in a bow round your neck to cover the wrinkles...works for me! 🙈 However I much prefer the natural look rather than the guys on tv who look like robots with their filters.     That sounds like a great idea - I shall do my best to get Zoom up and working, although how I'm going to hide my lockdown do-it-myself haircut I don't know!!

    Wow! Thank you for being conscious of time zones. You are 8hours ahead of me.

    Now, to find and download Zoom!

    I agree with Robin! A crop I could possibly attend!

    Hi Julia, me again. Ignore what I said in the last message, Doug's been investigating more, and it seems like we CAN use Zoom, and just pay for a single month, we just have to cancel it before the month ends. Wasn't made very clear unless you dig deep, lol. Hugs, Shaz XxX

    How exciting. Finally a Crop I can attend! Will put the date in my calendar now. Camera is ready (just need to plug it in - I pull the connection out from my PC when it is not being used, just in case someone is watching!) and I might even put a dress on! Ali x

    This is a brilliant idea. I've never been able to attend a crop before and I would love to be in on this!! I haven't got Zoom set up on my laptop yet but my hubby said he'd help me. It will be great to "meet" so many of you!
