What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 588

I’m sorry that the link is missing, it will be restored as soon as poss! Another edit...I’ve started a new link list, sorry, much easier than correcting the original mistake turned out to be!

I would be pushed to account for the last week. Obviously, I’ve done stuff.  I mean, this mansion doesn’t run itself. But hmm, not a lot of anything in particular I don’t think. I had this idea to do all sorts at my desk, but it didn’t pan out. I’m not really feeling it at the moment and I know better than to sit there trying to get an idea from head to paper.
I did make a couple of scrapbook pages to try to catch up with an online crop I missed last weekend, but even they seemed a bit lacklustre. The ‘fun’ on my desk was supposed to look really good on one of them, but it didn’t. Thanks to Stacey, I’ll just pop it in my mini album for use later. *smug*.I don’t know if you’ve noticed over the weeks, but the bin that I painted has really faded.
see?
I didn’t notice until it nearly fell off a pile involving pads, tape and the cutter. I grabbed for it and managed to pull off one of the stars, but it was a lightning fast reaction that prevented a load of small scraps and strips hitting the floor, so I forgave myself immediately. But it’s revelatory in more ways than one. I’ve glued it back on, and if the old mojo stays away, I might be moved to repaint the tub. Roll on returning to the workroom! Come on then, show me what I could be doing ...let’s see your desks.

  1. Hope the mojo returns soon Julia. You can't force these things though. I wouldn't have noticed the fading on the tub if you hadn't pointed it out. SHows how obsevant I am lol. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #1

  3. Happy WOYWW (and apologies for an incorrect link going up first - both of my blogs were not working first thing this morning and for some reason a link to my other post from yesterday was used). I have been wanting to craft for a few weeks, but my days have been so full with business and blogging stuff (plus trying to keep to a schedule for cleaning/house management). I made myself sit down at the weekend and get some ATCs and a tag in the post, but still got some to go. Made myself 'inactive' in the ATC group, so I can catch up and not keep anyone else waiting. It will soon be Silly Season for me - with lots of birthdays/anniversaries etc. I may well be buying cards from Funky Pigeon !! Ali x #5

  4. I have a feeling you’re very much in the club with lack of mojo at the mo. I’m sure it’s a lot to do wil the time of the year and the changing of seasons right now but failing that just blame Covid. I’m lucky in that I’m asked to make and do and the things I make and do need no mojo so life goes on here....just don’t ask me to be creative lol.
    Hope things improve this week.
    Hugs,
    Annie x

  6. It's strange but I feel the same at the moment for some reason which you'll notice by the lack of much on my desk. I think I missed our week away at the coast and I just can't perk myself up at the moment. Lets hope Mr Mojo comes back soon. Have a lovely and hopefully creative woyww, Angela x8x

  7. It's funny how our "mojo" swings from + to - so quickly isn't it. I've been quite active this week so feeling a bit smug! One thing is for sure creativity can't be forced out so just go with the flow and enjoy doing whatever you find to keep you happy. xxx Jo

  8. Love the colour of the bin-makes me think of the sea. Mojo has been AWOL here today but I am making myself finish my daughter’s quilt TODAY as it’s been hanging around for ages. Happy crafting!

  12. Hi Julia, I don't know what's happening but I can't find a way to link up - the thumbnails aren't showing and if I click the link to display the links I just see a typed list of names with no way of linking up - am I missing something obvious?! I'll check back later this morning in case it's just a temporary blip. x

  13. Hi, I love the patina on your bin! If my mojo disappears, it's definitely time to do something else for a while. hope it comes back soon! Maybe you need more Hendricks to kick-start it? ;)

  14. Sorry to hear about the absent mojo, Julia, and I hope it returns soon. Is there a reason why the Mr Linky list is now only available on a separate page? This is a bit of a pain. I hope this change isn't permanent.

    Happy WOYWW,

  15. Hi! I was in a horrible state of restlessness Saturday ~ it slowly subsided by Tuesday. I think it's good to "see" it and accept when these things hit us. We are living in strange times, and it's hard to know what's affecting us when anymore. Be kind, patient and gentle with yourself as you would with someone else. If I can't get myself to play sometimes I sort through a bin of stuff and that can trigger a creative direction. Blessings to you

  16. I could not link up. Oh Julia I know the feeling MOJO worse than the weather. Up and Down. I missed quite a few days of actual living this week. Seemed I was in a daze and accomplished nothing. Then worked 2 days playing catch up and the exhausted body has only been on a hot rice bag since. The word FUN on your desk will inspire me. Perk Up, Drink, and Eat everything you love, diet later.

  17. Good morning Julia! I can't link up ... the form does not appear for me. Or have I been ex-communicated! Lol. Your desk looks way more productive than mine at the moment. I've managed some sample wedding invites and one canvas - in 9 weeks!! Have a lovely week, and I will try again next week. Heather x

  18. Ok. I feel like I am in the Twilight Zone. No links then I see your note at the top of the post but still see no links. I take a chance and submit my link and it works. But my dear friend, I know I am in the Twilight Zone because my link is number 1 and I live across the pond and typically number 30. So dare I say, where are my desk friends? I want to make amends with them for my lackluster turnout last week. But you will find my reasons for my absence in my post. I do see people left comments but no links.I will pop back later to check the status. Hope you are well my dear friend.

  19. Hi, Julia!

Seems like mojo is missing elsewhere too.

I’m not posting again this week. All I’ve managed to do is make my two Christmas cards.

The insurance adjuster has been here, now just waiting for an answer. We may be on our own to track the leak and make the repairs. That room has been emptied and guess where all that “stuff” is? We haven’t fallen down into it yet!

    Stay safe!

    Happy Wednesday!

    Kathryn

  23. Hi Julia, an even later post this week - the wrong day, in fact - but I was determined. And, after this summer, I know what it's like to lose the crafting mojo. You'll get yours back, in time, I'm sure. There's no keeping a crafter down forever. I take it, it's the light that has caused the paint to fade. It's still lovely. Hope you get to return to your workroom soon. Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #23

  24. I love the colour of the tin, but wouldn't have noticed the fading if you hadn't said. I hope your mojo returns soon. Take care and stay safe, with love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#6)
