What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 547
I’m scheduling this, so this is actually last night. Look at this lot, stuff from a Crop at the weekend, stuff from the ‘mini’ marathon, also at the weekend, stuff from not clearing up properly, stuff from another person using my desk and stuff on my desk to remind me that it needs to be posted. Are ya shocked? I am! The woolly pulley on the back of the chair is a chunky waistcoat type thing. The ground floor of the house has been very very cold recently. The child that masquerades as our plumber has finally managed to marry the old and the new in terms of heating systems and so we are comfortable again, which is quite lovely. When everything has been properly put away, I will put the sliding doors back on the cupboards. That will go a long way to making the place look a bit better. I’m sort of in the mood to make some cards for the sheer pleasure of sending some nice cards now, so I’m going to. Just as soon as I get back from being out tomorrow. Today.
well I think it is Wednesday...so I'm here! Glad your heating is now sorted, it can't have been nice being chilly this last little while. I hope that you enjoy making your own cards now the Marathon is done. I just realised I must make my "special " ones...
ReplyDeleteMorning Julia. Dim panicio - as they say locally - it is indeed Wednesday. It's pouring with rain and guess who has to do all the shopping for step inside?? Oh well... I'm really glad you have some heating again 0- 'cos it's getting pretty cold outside too! Hope you get to make some cards soon.
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Yes it's Wednesday and I would say your desk is a typical November workdesk for a crafter. Glad you are warm again lucky you with central heating I don't have it but find I don't get as many colds etc as I did in the UK. ANi #1
ReplyDeletebut Julia at least you know what that stuff is.. I'm hoping it's Wednesday as i've just published my WoywW post. I'm very glad to hear you and the heating are back together again although It's always a wise move to keep a cardi to hand this time of year.
ReplyDeleteHave fun putting those cupboard doors back on.
Happy WoywW Hugs Tracey #4
Hi Julia, Glad your heating is sorted, as they forecast temps dropping.
ReplyDeleteWell you look like you have been very busy. Hope you can get things put away and the sliding doors back on.
Happy WOYWW

I believe it is indeed Wednesday Julia. Glad the heating is working and that you have some time to do some crafting for yourself (tomorrow). Happy WOYWW. Sarah #8
ReplyDeleteI know it is 'Wednesday because I just checked on my computer. Easy to get confused, especially at this time of the year when so many things are running through your head.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see your craft room looking bright and warm,, nothing worse than a chilly house. I am sure you will soon have it tidy and things behind doors (however untidy inside) always make it look better.
Have a good week
Hugs, Neet 9 xx
Yep it’s def Wednesday. I know it is cos a day when I don’t have to go to the gym to be tortured ....yes that’s what it feels like so far but everyone tells me I will learn to enjoy it (but I feel that’s a very long way off yet!j. Your creative space looks like it’s had a really good work out too ππππ
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Glad you are warm and toasty again. Your "stuff" looks much like mine from this distance - one day I will get it all in order! xx Jo
ReplyDeleteI love the phrase "child that masquerades as our plumber"!! Glad you have heating again as meant to get colder by the weekend down our neck of the woods
ReplyDeleteKyla

Well Julia it is tomorrow’s today or really yesterday’s tomorrow,, ππ
ReplyDeleteAm here at last took me hours to get post written I’m not sure who interrupts me the most, myself or other people! Love your new space, it’s very like mine at times though at mo it’s rather tidy nought in mid construction which is strange and only go in there cos landline is there. The warming floor must be great, well done too!
Happy WOYWW.. I’m rather saying the last part of that word a lot at mo, not comfy so going to move, prob will take while to comment but will do my best, Nighty night.
Thanks for being a blessing, and may God bless you too.

So glad you've got your heating back on, it's been so damp and chilly. I laughed at your child plumber comment - I've just had a my last round of ultrasound therapy on my hand and the two staff in the hospital unit looked like they were there for 'bring your child to work' day.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week and manage to get stuck in to some pleasurable card making.
Hugs, Diana x #16
Well actually as I opened the blog I thought it was Friday Fun Day but I've had one hell of a week and it's only Wednesday so I know how you feel. The work still isn't complete here, my father had a fall on Monday so mum is more frustrated than usual (he is okay now, more or less) and my Eczema is giving me hell so I'm not really feeling quite myself today. I am having a bit of escapism as I'm meeting the girls later. Just hope this will distract me from the itching. Right that's enough of that!!! Your desk makes me happy because it means you've been having lots of crafty fun and that's got to be good. Sending hugs and wishing you a happy woyww, Angela x15x
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you have your heating sorted out! It is always a struggle to be cold! It is raining here this morning but not too cold thank goodness! Your desk looks very busy for sure. I hate to think what my area would look like if I didn't sort it about every day. Happy WOYWW!

Now you're talking, Julia! I revel in other people's messy desks as it makes me feel better about mine - though I'm still a contender, I'm afraid! Woolly pullies are definitely handy to have around in a cold house - although on Monday I was so hot I went barefeet all day without the heating on! Could have something to do with be my hot flushes or the fact that I was doing some strenuous housework - probably a combination of the two. Either way, it saves on the heating bills! Happy WOYWW! xx
ReplyDeleteWell, Julia, you made me laugh today! I have been trying to set up a new text group on my newish phone and so far haven’r succeeded! My house looks like an explosion thanks to the impending craft fair. Catriona
ReplyDeleteThe dismal weather continues round here although I understand that next week we go back to sunshine and frost!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your everchanging desk, without a window may be a blessing, the heating certainly is!!!
Take care, stay dry and warm

Hi Julia, I love that you can scooter around in your chair ( no carpet) the only place we have carpet here is in the hobby room so, that was just a green with envy thing) and Yep, as soon as the booth was done and the mess was packed away the first thought I had was now, you can start your own cards for giving. which is what I will be up to this weekend. ~Stacy #23
ReplyDeleteI love this, Julia! You’re normal and human! Glad the heat is back on. That’s what paralyzes me.
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, heating - now that's progress. I identify with the 'child that masquerades as a plumber' - we had one youngster round this week to replace the round taps on the bathroom basin with those with levers ... our arthritic hands are so grateful. I like your office chair - those wheels must make it so easy to go from one work station to another - bliss! Hope your day has gone well. Hugs, Elizabeth x #24
ReplyDeleteHiya Julia, forgot to comment earlier! I'm competing on mess this week, mines a disaster. I really need to get in there and clean up. And my pic doesn't show my die cutting area, which actually makes the rest of the room look tidy.Seriously. Still plodding along here, slow but sure improvement. Love and hugs to you both, Shaz #18 XxXxXx
ReplyDeleteRelax it is Wednesday :) I am working in the lounge today so nobody gets to see my messy craft room :). Oh I am so glad your heating is fixed, it's been cold lately! Enjoy your card making xx
ReplyDeleteWell it's Thursday here and even though I had prepared my post I still missed linking to woyww on Wednesday and now it's thursday and I feel like I am chasing my tail. Must stop spending time with dogs :) Your room and desk look like the signs of a woman involved in business/busyness. Enjoy your time out and look forward to seeing your lovely cards

Glad to hear that you are gradually getting back to normal in the house, and that the child plumber has got your heating sorted out! Not a good time of year to be without it. Thank you for your visit and for your kind words about my Tudor outfit - it's coming on splendidly and I'm pleased with how the stomacher turned out. You are right - the heavy curtain fabric isn't that easy to hand-sew and it was quite hard work, but it's all worth while. You know me, once I get my teeth into something, I'm not giving up!!! (I wish I could get my teeth into some of my UFOs, though, because they are a different story.)
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW,
