What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 466

Well, here we are again. Thanks to Jan for sorting out last weeks Link list...it only goes wrong when I have no internet access! Still, all's well that ends well. And so to the desk.
It looks a bit work-y and a bit craft-y. I got an idea for my WOYWW9 ATCs and made another start. Note: ANOTHER. My first idea just would not translate to paper! I've sorted of posed this clutter by plonking a new die in its packet on top of the ATCs that I've managed to make. The Kraft pad is also new, and I have no idea why I needed it. I recommend a two week cooling off period between buying and using...it will really focus your 'want' and 'need' purchasing! The light isn't great this morning, I hope it's not a sign of changing weather! I'm back to the normal routine now, so will visit your place when I've been to visit my lovely Mama later today. Link here, as usual, please!

  2. I thought your pineapple photo was a hoot!

I am floundering with my ATCs, so they may get made at the last minute. One idea I had, like yours, wouldn't translate to paper. So glad to see you back from holiday. Happy WOYWW from Wendy, Bleubeard, and me of course.

  6. Ooooppppps, I'm really out of practice, made a complete mess of posting, with three duds. Sorry Julia.
You desk has me itching to do something crafty, could do something really fun with that die.

  7. Good to see you back Julia, you really shouldn't worry about links and internet things whilst away on your holidays, we all had fun floating around in WOYWWLAND until we were rescued hee hee! Thank you for bringing back some sunshine for us all.
I'm trying to be less impulsive with my craft purchases and talk myself into the reasoning behind the wanting but by the time I have thought of the reasons the good ones always seem to get away!
Look forward to seeing your final decision regarding those ATC's.
Wishing you sunshine and creativity & Happy WOYWW Tracey #5

  9. I think the two week cooling off period should be between 'wanting' and 'buying' - after two weeks I sometimes find I don't really want those things after all - I want something else instead! And if I still want them after two weeks, fair enough, buy them! Hope you had a good holiday, Julia - nice to see you back! xx

  10. PS. of course, all that goes out the window when something's on offer LOL! Then you have to take the opportunity when it presents itself!

  11. It goes without saying, bet you had a great holiday. You're obviously getting going with the ATCs and I can't believe that I'm well into mine which is a miracle as I am normally on the last legs. Happy woyww, Angela x18x at the moment Lol! but as Mrs D went a bit mad this morning things may change. Think it's the excitement of moving in the new house Lol! xXx

  12. If Sarah (#17 and 18) Brennan checks in, I want her to know I can't leave her a comment due to the way she has her comments set up. I'd have to join G+ and until it becomes mandatory, I will not do so.

  18. Unusual to see your desk look sparse! Meanwhile, mine is covered in new purchases I've yet to play with. I really can't wait to get all inky again, but being at the beach for a week was a far better fate!

  19. Hi Julia. The bank holiday weather was great - 3 days in the garden! Hope you had a great holiday! What ... Not even a peek at your ATC? And if this is "another" attempt, and others are floundering for inspiration, I think I had better visit my craft room pronto! Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely week Heather x #11

  20. How organised you are this week, and it looks like a lot of productive work has been going on. Thank you for the visit earlier - yes, I know what you mean about isolating ones self - I've had to give myself a good kick up the backside to get back into crafting and blogging - not easy with my short legs!
    Have a great week,
    Diana x

  21. Not joining in with WOYWW again this week, but in case anyone reads this, I am finally back from hospital and a few days' convalescence - 3 weeks away! Been very poorly indeed but hopefully on the mend now.

  23. Hi Julia,I tend to do that, I toss wishes onto boards at pinterest and wait for sales but, there sure have been a lot of them lately or the resistance is low in my time zone haha...
I have been meaning to stamp some images on kraft paper to color with pencils because, I love how it looks when I see other people do it, so maybe that would use up some pieces for you too?

  24. Yes, I totally agree of keeping a cool off period of two weeks (or more!) in buying stuff because the line between need/want/must have and do I actually need it often get blinded by the rush of getting something new. I promised myself that I would not buy more after the huge haul at art specially, but I fall down the rabbit hole of "oh new released stamps- must have" all too often .. Sigh! Have a splendid week! xo Cheetarah #28

  25. Welcome home! I hope you and the pineapple had a wonderful time, and that the house was fully intact when you arrived home! I see you picked up a few new toys, that's always good! I have one ATC ready to go, not sure I will make more, we will have to see! Have a great week, Lindart #26

  26. Good morning Julia! I have been having computer problems too so you are not alone. I am spying the pretty dies on your desk. They look like a great size. I hope you have a wonderful day. I think I am going to go weed a bit in my garden since it is lovely weather today.

  27. Here in Ireland the weather is wet wet wet. Is there ever a way to be honest about the difference between want and need?! I can rarely distinguish between the two. Shopping seems to come with the territory.
Enjoy your desk and thanks for the visit.

  28. Popping back to let you know you aren't missing anything:
Afraid my chest (as in treasure chest) isn't that interesting. It just houses all my Dylusion Rubber Stamps. At least it is better than my usual metal box storage - the backing thingies are too big anyhow.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  29. Desk is looking good...I had a bit if issue with ATC ideas too, but should be set to go! LOL! If my stores weren't so far away (or the internet so darn convenient) I'd agree with you 2-week cooling off period...sort of like firearms purchasing! Between not really needing it or already having it, it would save me a bundle!
    Have a great week.
