What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 263

A new, improved edition that includes a photo, a short article and a Link list.  If you missed last week, well so did I.  Sorry about that.  Still, we're all still living and breathing and this is meant to be a bit of fun right?
My desk seems to show an appropriate amount of my reflective mood.
The late Tuesday sunshine is reflecting very nicely thank you - lots of warmth into my room.  Which also means that at least to my eye, it shows how badly the windows need a good clean.  Sigh.  It also shows that even when I'm away for an extended period, my scissors are still used by someone.  See. I'm not the only one that doesn't put stuff away! The real reflection is  going on in the notebook..there are a lot of lists to be made so that some very genuine prioritising can be done.  Grown up.  Certainly.  But not as scarey grown up as the thought that one of those lists will involve Christmas Card Marathon preparations! There. I said it.
So join in with your far more exciting workspace revelations will ya?  Some of us (OK, me) need a real and vital injection of enthusiasm and inspiration...and its usually to be found at your place.

  2. Welcome back Julia - you gave us quite a scare last week when you missed your own party!

I hope you are better now. I went thru GBS several years ago - it truly stops you in your tracks!

Love the reflective desk today. Have a wonderful week!

  4. So pleased you are home and on the mend! You were missed, but, as you said, nothing fell apart at the seams :)
You might be making Christmas Card plans, I might even whip up a few for "Christmas in July" but I can't contemplate any genuine, December type Christmas cards :)
    Take care,

  7. I'm so glad you are back and feeling chipper enough to post this week. I think you had MANY of us worried, especially when Jan told us you were in hospital in a strange land.

I'm not playing this week. I've got too many irons in the fire and I'm helping my friend with her hoarder problems, which constitutes most of the daylight hours. But I wanted to stop by and check in, none-the-less.

  8. So glad you're back with us, at home, safe and recovering! Good to see a desk too. Happy WOYWW.. xx

  10. Ah, Julia, great minds! I've just uploaded and you will see that the sunshine also was my enemy in the revelation of dirty windows and so I made that part of my dialogue! I hope you don't rush into things, dear. Take the time to heal properly and be pampered for a bit. Love, Mom (Darnell #14)

  22. Nice to have you back - you really got me in a spin last week. Thank goodness I thought of LLJ later on but how I wish my brain had worked a bit sooner. Anyhow, you are with us today and the sun is shining, hopefully, though not quite as much as in Spain. Hope you get another holiday soon as most of your other one was spent in a hospital bed. Not fair!
Take care, rest and enjoy now
    Hugs, Neet xx

  25. Hi Julia, lovely to see you back, hope you are mending nicely. Dirty window syndrome is everywhere- I swear if I cleaned mine I'd get an extra couple of hours of daylight! Just been to Tesco, off to have a decaff and some cereal, then bed. I'll catch everyone later, Huge hugs from us both, xxx

  26. ah, Julia, dear head-desker, nice to have things back in their proper order again.. still we managed quite okay in the end..

.... once we knew you were okay :D thanks to Lunch Lady Jan and the modern conveniences of phones, etc.Glad to see your desk and scissors and windows needing a clean..
I am bit late for it as it was such an unexpected day.. it is days end here y'see, and somehow all that crafting and catch up I was to do do today resulted in zilch, zero done.. .. why is that now? folks calling etc phone calls and such... but all essential in their own way, am off to catch up with few desks, before must get tea ready, Shaz in oz.x #31 I think..

  27. Living and breathing is good! So is reflection. One year I gave up making lists for Lent- a story for another post!
Please go back and look at last weeks post if you haven't already. You should know you have been an inspiration to us all!
Glad you are back- you were missed!

  28. Don't you dare even think about cleaning those windows!!!

Lovely to have you back but you are supposed to take things easy so no swinging from the light bulbs to take photos or cleaning windows...list making is okay though.

  29. My iPad wouldn't cooperate this morning so I had to wait till I got to my desk to comment. Does this mean you are back home? Taking it easy, I hope. I'm trying to clear the decks for the crop on the 28th, if it happens - will you be well enough to attend? If so, I'll make DH cancel any plans so I can make it for sure. :) I'm guessing you must be feeling better if you are working on a Marathon, even if it is just a CARD one LOL!

Don't overdo it! The gall of that gall bladder, ruining your holiday....

  51. Welcome Home...so glad you had some time away, and hoping you are feeling terrific. My love for the Window, makes me wonder if I'd create more...however we are lucky to have electricity. Mother Nature has had 2 days of intense storms, pretty much live in the basement at night. More forcast for today. Enjoy your day. And thanks for WOYWW

  55. Julia, I hope you are comfortable and recovering well. Obviously, we were all worried about you! I never dreamed I'd be worrying about some English lady across the ocean that I've never met! (other than Princess Diana, and that didn't turn out well) But you truly are our Princess of the Work Desk and you are loved and cherished by many friends near you and far away. Glad that old gall thing is gone!! Big hugs, and I love your lists--I'm in a list making mood this week too. Hugs. Sandy Leigh

  56. YAY! So glad to see that you're back and up to sitting at your desk Julia! I missed it AND you last week!

I wish I had an excuse when my scissors don't get put away. I'm the only one who comes into my craft room so I have to take the blame...unless maybe I can blame it on the dogs? Yeah...I think I'll try that next time!

    Happy WOYWW!
