So my Workdesk is a little under utilised, I've cut up some papers into pennant type strips and foiled a border around some plain Kraft tags..I'll tell you why when that plan comes to fruition, it's part of a small collaboration that may or may not come to something!
Yesterday was meant to be a slightly slow day on our itinerary because we decided to stay local and not rush about too much. So we did stay local, and we didn't rush about, but we did wear ourselves out!
It wasn't cold, but was very windy, which is probably what kept the rain away, we felt very lucky. We have plans for another day of reasonably local exploration today. It's fun, and because both of these wonderful Kathys are crafters, we have plans that involve beads, patience, magnifiers and patience. Oh, I said that. Well, probably if it gets hard, I'll distract them into stamping and colouring in, which as you understand, is easy and therefore what I do best!
Please show and tell as usual, and I'll get the Kathys to chime in as I work my way round to your desk!
Good morning Julia and good morning to your two Kathys. What a beautiful day you had for visiting Stonehenge. (How local is it for you?). I hope you have a few more beautiful days while you have your visitors, both inside crafting and outside sightseeing. Happy WOYWW. Angela #2
ReplyDeleteI woke for the second time, boiling hot at 5am and toddled over to the PC and turned it on hoping.... but no, even that was a bit too early for your post. I then tried to fathom why the landline (new digital voice thingy) handset had lit up like Blackpool illuminations so early but couldn't work it out. Popped to the bathroom and thought I'd refresh your page just in case and low and behold Mr Linky all ready and waiting for me. Stonehenge looks lovely and it is still quite warm these Autumnal days despite the wind. Intrigued to see what you do with the banners (or not), and enjoy your house guests. We've just had our son visit and it was so lovely to see him. Hugs BJ#1
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful you are entertaining a pair of Kathys. Do three make a gaggle? Seriously, your day at Stonehenge is truly on my bucket list. So glad the Kathys got to see it. Crafting will ensue, I'm sure, but those were magnificent photos of your day out, dear Julia.
ReplyDeleteGreat to be able to have double Kathys for trips out and about - not been "to" Stonehenge for years, other than driving by on the A303..back in the day when you could walk round the stones (showing my age). Hope you all have a great time whilst they visit. Happy WOYWW Helen
ReplyDeleteHave a great time with the Kathy's Julia - I was only thinking about KF the other day on her birthday. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #4
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Double Kathys and standing stones! Even with the wind, bet it was fab. But tiny beads and conversation could be fun too. Enjoy the visit and crafting with friends!
ReplyDeleteHappy Woyww

Hi Julia, looks like you're in for a busy time but I know you will all enjoy whatever you have planned. Hope we get to see whatever you end up doing. Happy creative woyww to you and the Kathys. Hugs, Angela x14x
ReplyDeleteHi, all! We are having a wonderful time! The countryside is beautiful! And we have the most marvelous tour guide and hostess! She will not let us lift a finger to help!
ReplyDeleteLots of laughter, too, as you may imagine!
I think I’m Kathy #1 because I found Julia many years ago and followed WOYWW long before I figured out the “wavy things” to post.
My hubby and I met Julia and Mr. Dunnit when they came to the States to visit her sissy. That was some time ago. It seems we got on so well from that very day and you hold tight to friends like that!
Now Kathy #2 is my neighbor. When her family moved up the street from us, she hosted a neighborhood potluck. I sent her a “thank you “ note. She called me and wanted me to teach her how to make cards like that! Just like that, we are fast friends too!
So, just like that! Here we are! However, Kathy #1 and Kathy #2 reminds me of something by Dr. Seuss!
Stay well and happy Wednesday!

ReplyDeleteGoodmorning Julia, love to see photos of StoneHenge... been there a long time ago (must have been 1997 or so...) and I remember it was cold and there were lots of people so I could hardly get a good picture of it...) Enjoy your time with the Kathy's!!! Big hug from the Netherlands, Marit #17

How lovely that your friends are visiting you! I hope that Storm Agnes doesn’t hinder what you’ve got planned, it’s going to be a wild day here so no walks on the beach today.

Some great photos. HAVE FUN, always great to have some visitors and do some fun adventures. I hope good eats are involved. Has been sweatshirt weather here too but on a warm up next few days. Fall colors and birds in flight south I think. HAVE FUN.
ReplyDeleteoops, forgot to comment after linking. Rushing as usual. In my head Weds is MY day and I can do WOYWW desking at my leisure. Rarely seems to work out that way. How nice to have visitors, especially crafters, though I woud be no good with the beads, even with a magnifier and a modicum of patience. I'm hankering after a crop, it's been too long. Love n hugs, Cindy xx
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to visit Stonehenge with good Kathy friends. And I'm sure those winds invigorated you all, and your creativity!
