There’s a couple of LOs on the desk waiting for me to add titles to. See, I’m grown up now and can make a whole LO without a title instead of rushing to finish it and mucking it up. That is not to say that I apply these titles with any more care and finesse *cough* when I’m at home, just that I can actually cope with the delayed satisfaction of completion, which means I don’t have to cart my infuriating collection of mainly consonant stickers to the Crop! See the die on the cutter there at the right? It was lost and now is found. Weeks ago I made some cards with cups on it with die cut flowers in them. This is one of those dies and I went through the bin under my desk and the proper waste recycling ‘big bin’ trying to find it. I had really written it off, so this was a big moment of serendipity! It was stuck to the back of an alphabet sheet, so obviously happened when I was making the alpha backgrounds. Serves me right for push back and untidiness doesn’t it. Lesson learned? Hmmm.
There has been sunshine forecast for a second day in a row, I am delighted to say. It’s lovely and warm under glass or out of the rather nippy wind, and I hope that wherever you are, you are experiencing a little wink of spring! Have a warm and peaceful Easter.Join in with the old desk sharing please, better for you than any amount of chocolate. Or better yet, visit whilst eating chocolate!
Even I can't eat chocolate at 6 am so I'll have that later... well done on the tidy desk and finding the die! we had gorgeous sun yesterday although I think it may revert to wet later today.... happy WOYWW Helen x
ReplyDeleteMore than a wink of sunshine here! Yesterday felt downright balmy mid afternoon. How infuriating to have a die go missing! I’ve found them in odd places, years later. But at least you found it! Looking forward to more layouts from your Coven play date!
ReplyDeleteHappy Woyww!

So annoying when yu lose a die isn't it, but oh what joy when you find it in the most obscure of places. Of course, if it's weeks later that you find it you have already tipped the waste bin up on the desk and gone through it with a fine tooth comb. Twice! Then if it's a favourite die you have another one on order. Ask me how I know these things!
ReplyDeleteJust realised I could have shown you something on my desk, a recent purchase. All it needed was moving from the window sill to my craft mat and I could have said it was living there because ...
OK, have a lovely Easter weekend, eat chocolate and hopefully bask in the sunshine.
Hugs, Neet xx 1
Yay tidy (in strong Welsh accent of course) So glad you found the die although couldn't spot it on photo. You are definitely giving me scrapbooking vibes, really must get to mine, although I even moved the pending ones from desk (months) to shelf yesterday - eeeekkkkk!!!! It was beautifully warm here yesterday, I sat outside semi naked (oops) lapping up the vitamin D and reading an e-book. I'm not a reader so this is a first. Knees are doing their trick already and looking dirty such is my menopausal skin - so funny. Oh don't mention chocolate, can't have it till Sunday, really looking forward to that. Hugs BJ#5
ReplyDeleteWe had a beautiful sunny Spring day yesterday but today is a rainy one...guess it got it right for my day off yesterday. We have beautiful flowers and blossom popping up everywhere....and I love it. Spring has sprung, the grass is riz. I wonder where the birdies is.....and there’s actually birds singing all around us πππππ
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Annie x
Thought I’d come to the wrong desk for a minute! Typical that you’d been through all the waste paper looking for the list piece and it was stuck under something else, you’ll have to choose a safe spot somewhere. Enjoy the chocolate over Easter, I’m enjoying the sunny weather and having my boys back home xx

ReplyDeleteGlad you found that die Julia - always annoying when they go AWOL. The lengths you are willing to go to for chocolate made me laugh. Happy Easter. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #8
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW. It is great to be back! Not a huge amount of crafting happening, but some, so thought it appropriate to join in with the Wednesday blogging again. Ali x #11
ReplyDeleteI guess I commented on your previous post instead of here, but that's ok! Happy for your find, I've had that happen. I look for more than I find. Working with tiny pieces is trying somedays. And my SIL says she is living on Coffee and Chocolate, Bob was the cook !!! We are more Blessed than we know. Enjoy a Happy Easter. It's really the farthest thing from my mind. I want an old Easter Bonnet, My Mom's festive meal, family together and lots of drinks and laughter. Wishful thinking, the next best thing *Home with my Hubby.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Julia, it's a bit grey and overcast here. Lovely and tidy desk. Do we ever learn the lessons of putting things away when we are crafting? I am sure some things have a life of their own and hide deliberately. :) My those brick papers are colourful! My daughter bought me an Easter Egg so I have chocolate - yay! Wishing you a happy Easter x Angela ~13
ReplyDeleteYay tidy! So glad you found your die. Your coronation LO has beautiful detail. I’m eating toasted hot cross buns while commenting this morning; the chocolate will come later!
ReplyDeleteTake care and happy Easter

Aah those tricky little dies, must admit keeping them on a magnetic sheet helps (think it was at a past woyww crop i spotted someone made a die book with them and a ring) but its inevitable that at least one gets lost! Glad you found it though. Kyla
ReplyDeletedearest Queen of Desk, Julia. Well here is the long lost WOYWWER from Downunder finally appearing. I lost all of Feb and March as last post was end of Jan WOYWW which i did a day late because I forgot the day of the week. surprise .. not!
ReplyDeleteI'm on a laptop and soon getting off as battery is dying ..did chuckle at your lost and found.. I have had a few of those and badly need a tidy gene to find me.. or I will be buried in stash.
Health report in post and a lot more but cut it shorter this week as hope to share over Easter too.
Beautiful inspirations on your layout too well done.
Thanks for Sharing, God bless you and all those you love, hugs Shaz in Oz.x

Your desk is way too clean hehe. But then you have more in progress than I do.. well on the actual desk anyway LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how you made such great progress at a crop! You obviously were not well, and your usual chatty self. Hugs & Creative Blessings! ~Kelly
