Daylight means you get a great view of the water butt from this angle! But please, be distracted by a nearly tidy desk, it’s been a long time! In fact, it’s only this tidy because I took the alphabet file to Crop and have very wisely left it in the bag…I can’t face it for now! The paper cup is still filled with sticky foam pieces cut from the huge reel. I vaguely remember saying they need a better container, but as usual, I haven’t addressed it because it hasn’t yet become a matter of peril. Apparently I want to play ‘million foam piece pick up’ before I heed my own advice! The patterned magazine at the end is a clothing brochure with beautiful colours and patterned clothing. I shall be cutting it up for piecing my Janet Klein images, I think they’re a perfect match! Don’t hold your breath though, I’ve got a bajillion other things to do. Well, three birthday cards…and some Easter eggs to paint. It’s rolling around really fast!
Join in will you, make me want to get to my desk with all your inspiration!
I am sure you will get round to all those jobs eventually Julia. Fab magazine for paper piecing. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #2
ReplyDeleteYikes! Easter? I am not ready. But that is no surprise. Time management is not my strong suit, clearly, from my inability to get thru the desks in a day. But yes, your foam squares … my nemesis, and the thing I do that I know will end in disaster, is bottles of liquid left open on my desk. At least if you dump them over, think of the exercise you will get bending down to collect them.,
ReplyDeleteHappy Woyww!

The desk does look very tidy this week! Love the magazine though. Good luck with the Easter egg painting and the cards. Happy WOYWW Helen #4
ReplyDeleteHoping your example will help me get at least one area in order....Can't wait to see the new ideas for Janet Klein's images. Hard to find any paper clothing related items around here. It's mostly all on line. I put a few Easter rabbits out getting ready for this months Mad Hare challenges. Want to do paper/cloth eggs but that's no doubt a dream. Enjoy a good week. HAPPY WOYWW, glad to be back.
ReplyDeleteLovely butt! πYour tidy desk needs a bit of crafty activity but that clothes mag looks good for a bit of colourful snipping. x x Jo
ReplyDeleteWhat next? Your butt this week......anything is possible. Lovely tidy desk there today....now it’s time to get messy.
ReplyDeleteHave a fun week.
Hugs,
Annie x
What a fab magazine, looking forward to seeing it in use, especially with those girls.
ReplyDeleteEaster egg painting, now that has me intrigued and reminds me I have a lot of 'bits' just waiting for an Easter floral decoration. Might do it this year.
Just wonder if you are like me and it takes three hours to think up what to put on each birthday card? I had to do a 70th for a man (!) on Sunday (late) and luckily I found something I did years ago and managed to use that with the appropriate message and numbers put on. Naughty I know but I had made it and it was nice.
Hugs, Neet 7 xx

ReplyDeleteSorry, for some reason my link was wrong. Dont blame you for keeping the alphabets away, but hopefully it was a good session. As to the clothes catalogue, thats my favourite shop and one of the reasons we went to london last week to buy a couple a dresses from their shop!

ReplyDeleteHi Julia! Nice tidy desk awaiting your creative input! The magazine looks great, wonderful inspiration! Sounds like you will be busy for the next few weeks. Easter comes so early we may be hiding Easter Eggs in the snow this year! I hope you show us the eggs you will be painting! Have a great week, Lindart #19
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, look what I forgot to do this morning after I linked up - yep my comment. Bit distracted as it was my week to do the food shop and we also had the BT man round to finish off the new faster fibre installation, which we ordered on 19th January and there has been an enormous amount of phaffing on their part but it all seems sorted now - just the customer services lady to call to close our complaint and hopefully we'll get a bit of compensation too. They still haven't sorted nextdoors and they ordered it last year!
ReplyDeleteAnyway trying to get my head into desk hopping now and I start off on your nice neat desk, how delightful. My head is a flurry with possible other containers for the foam before the game is foisted upon you, what will be will be methinks. Yes that book cover did get my attention, but not entirely sure what "piecing my Janet Klein images" is exactly but time will tell.
Thanks for your comment on mine already, I really liked the book page pocket idea too, it's really cool watching and copying others whilst they create and taking on board new ways with things.
Better get hopping, always takes me so long to get around as I'm taking in all there is to see. Thanks for keeping this group going it's wonderful. hugs BJ#11
Hello Julia, I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one with a bajillion jobs to do. Right now it feels like I'll never be done but I bet well amaze ourselves and do it all - eventually! I need a water butt too - something to add to my list of must haves. Hope you've had a good day. Hugs, Elizabeth x #20
ReplyDeleteMighty impressive, Julia!
ReplyDeleteIt’s an ongoing battle with me!
And a speed bump now. I just had my 1st cataract surgery yesterday. 2 nd eye in 2 weeks. It’s like trying to see through oil or Vaseline! Although I think it counts as an excuse for being messy!
Enjoy your clean desk! Amazing how the clutter accumulates, by magic!
Kathryn
You are slight! Being poorly is a waste of time. Feeling a little better today xx
ReplyDeleteLovely colours for your crafting Julia. The sticky pads sound capable of getting everywhere!
ReplyDeleteTake care, hugs
