What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 714

This is intended to be scheduled, if I mess it up, please forgive. Believe it or not, this time it’s the car that needs an MOT and I have to take it to Salisbury first thing. Which means joining the actual commute, something I work hard to avoid, adding to the clogged up roads is pointless if you don’t have to, huh! Ah, tales of domesticity…!
What about this then?
I’m getting ready to leave! A weekend of scrapbooking with The Coven is in store. Really looking forward to it. AsI haven’t had time to sit at my desk for any creative purposes, I’ve rushed in and out and put things on the desk each time I’ve thought about something specific I want to take. So that involved hauling out the boxes and files that whatever I was thinking about are kept in, and so the pile has become quite serious! Mind you, it’s nowhere near complete…last year I managed to take my trolley too, and I’m considering doing the same again…depends how much room is taken up in the car by non essentials like clothes and food! Hey, apology again for last week…I said you could see lovely LLJ on my phone in the picture. You can’t. Turns out that the picture I see in the blog post is bigger than the one that is actually posted by the App! Strange. It was such a pleasure to roam around your desks last week, please post again!

  2. Ugh. Commuting is the worst. Good luck with the MOT and don’t let anything get in the way of your scrapping! Enjoy.
Oh and I thought it was me being blind and not seeing LLJ! Phew.
    Happy Woyww

  3. I hope the car passes the MOT (and the traffic isn't too bad) and that the weekend away with the Coven is productive - looks like you intend it to be!
It's really odd how the desk photo I see when i view from my phone, gives me your bigger pic, than the one on your blog via the PC ! i've just looked back to last week and can't see Jan!! (I've noticed this before) Anyhow, happy WOYWW Helen

  4. Who needs to eat when you can craft? (Although I do hope you wear some clothes). What a treat to get away crafting, especially to be with people who know what they are doing. Enjoy!! Love n hugs Cindyxx #4

  5. Lucky you, wish I could come too. I'm sure you'll manage to get everything you need in the car somehow and probably more than you will use but we need to be prepared. Don't fancy that drive you're today though and don't miss having to do it at all. Enjoy your weekend. WOYWW hugs Angela x7x

  9. Exactly what I said to my hubby re the time of his dental appointment. I mean it is 35 minutes away on a good day and now he's retired WHY travel in the morning rush hour or indeed the afternoon school rush plus homecoming. I have even made my 6 monthly appointment to be in March/September regardless to any other interim appointments so I don't have to travel in the dark of the Winter months either. He'll get this retirement thing soon..... Have a super weekend scrapping, love that the non essential are clothes and food LOL. Hugs BJ#11

  14. Hi Julia, hope the MOT goes well and there's no unforeseen problems detected. Salisbury is lovely but not if it takes forever to get there. Happily, you have your retreat with the Coven to plan for while you wait. I'm off to catch up with a few more lovely WOYWW posts. Have a lovely day. Elizabeth x #15

  19. For the record the conservatory is looking/feeling fine with the tree gone. We keep the fairy lights round the roof and window all year so still pretty and I could get the my plants and spread them about a bit, had started drowning one by accident! oops.
Candlemas is a traditional Christian feast day 40 days after Christmas. Decorations used to be left up until this day many moons ago. I only started it the year we bought a non-drop tree which was still so sprightly on 12th night and I couldn't bear to take it down, it was left without decorations that year but since then I have just left the decs on them. I take the rest of the house decs down on 12th night though. We by the cheaper trees now and they just manage to last till 2nd February as long as they are NOT touched which is fine in the conservatory. Think that covers it, bet you wished you'd not asked now LOL BJ#11
