I’m using new stash. Just playing positively at the mo, (which means that I’m making stuff so that I don’t feel I’m wasting valuable time…it’s a curse.) I’ll make multiples of the designs I like and squirrel them away. I like to give a bunch of useful cards at Christmas to people who I seek regular services from during the year and as hostess gifts if we are invited…I don’t know if they are ever used, but it avoids awkwardness when it’s just a bunch of cards that can be used or passed on!
Loved seeing everything last week, please carry on, or join us for the first time, or dip in and out as you wish!
What a great idea to make bunches of cards like that and use them as gifts for various things/people. Must remember that one. The 'x cards wonder sheet' or whatever myk workshop was called a while back is ideal for making batch cards, about time I did some more as I did get all of them sent out for various things.
ReplyDeleteGosh, that must have been hard cleaning you had to do, nothing like sand and grit type 'muck' to keep repeating itself. Hope you get some time to relax and play for a while. Take care.
Hugs, Neet 1 (I think) xx
Good to see the desk back in it's rightful place, and getting used too! I love the idea of the batches of cards as gifts. Hope the messy bit of the patio is finished now! Happy WOYWW Helen
ReplyDeleteYou desk on wheels is genius. Not sure why Bedknobs and Broomsticks comes to mind…. Batch cars is also genius and yet I never do them. And no, I don’t envy the grit and dirt, sorry, but 2 out of 3 ain’t bad, right?

What lovely little cards and what a super idea to give bunches of them as gifts. Eeeek about the grit, makes my Wisteria flowers not seem quite as bad but they do get tracked all through the house on socks! Nice to see your desk back in situ though and you doing crafting. I'm awaiting 5kg of papers/cardstock from Kraft Crazy, whose the Crazy one! BJ#5
ReplyDeleteI love the sweet cards. Well done you for the big clean up too.
ReplyDeleteHugs,

What a wonderful bunch of cards. They are looking great. Hopefully it is only once you have to have dirt and such through your crea room. Gives the change to making something new I guess.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.
Have a super week

Hi Julia, you made me smile about making cards as gifts as I had promised to do this but never got round to it there always seems to be a distraction. It is a great idea and people do appreciate hand made gifts. I always thing a good clean round and a tidy up clears the head so well done with that too. Have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x11x
ReplyDeleteThat’s a great idea making cards as gifts as not every host likes flowers/wine/etc - glad you’re enjoying the new stash! Is the patio all finished now? It was shaping up to be a lovely space xx
ReplyDeleteHugs LLJ 8 xx
Pick yourself up my dearest Julia - it’s only me!
ReplyDeleteCan’t imagine anyone passing on cards you have lovingly made & gifted - how jolly lucky they are to get them!
Have been checking in with you each week so have kept my eye on your always creatively busy desk - always a joy to see.
Much love to you. Debbie no idea what number xxx
Ah batch card making is a brilliant idea and how lovely to pass them on too, genius.

Good morning Julia, I hope you will be grit and dirt free in your craft room for a while so you can enjoy your craft room, it’s amazing what gets tracked through the house. Card gifts are a lovely idea and your cards are sweet :)
ReplyDeleteIs that a toy hammock hanging from the door handle or a face mask? Happy WOYWW, have a great week. Angela #13
That sounds like hard cleaning Julia. Your desk on wheels is evidently really useful.
ReplyDeleteYour 3D cards are pretty. It’s a good idea for hostess gifts.
Take care and happy WOYWW

I love everything about those cards Julia-the colours, shapes and decorations. There’s a coal bing being removed near us and every window ledge is covered in dust every day! Catriona
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Julia!
ReplyDeleteYes, construction has it's drawbacks. I just keep looking ahead to how lovely everything will be once projects are finished. A card collection would make a lovely hostess gift! You are so smart, and thoughtful. Creative Blessings, ~Kelly #16
Great cards Julia - batch making is such a good idea. I sometimes batch make cards as extra gifts for CHristmas and birthdays as it is useful to have a few in for unexpected events. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #15
ReplyDeleteLike the idea of a bunch of cards as hostess gifts! Visitors screwed my day yesterday, arriving much earlier than originally planned!! I posted and linked but didn't achieve much else. Have a good week, Cindy xx
ReplyDeletePlaying is never wasting time! It's fun! I like your idea of making card packages, especially for those who don't have the time to get out and buy cards (like my DD). Have fun! Lindart #17
ReplyDeleteElizabeth asked me to pass on this info: Bleubeard and Elizabeth are still unable to access her computer but want you to know they are not avoiding you and will visit once they are back online.
