What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 682

A slightly staged edition at this desk. Not to cover the indecent mess, but to show that I’ve been doing something! Hurrah!

There’s a story, of course. A customer of my shop (closed at least 15 years ago) and I would bump into each other occasionally at craft events or in local coffee shops. We lost touch gradually, and of course, lockdown sealed it good and proper. Fast forward to this May and I bumped into her at Salisbury Cathedral’s Festival of Flowers. Our diaries are silly and we aren’t geographic neighbours anymore, so in order to see her and catch up, she suggested I go to one of her Stampin Up! Workshops. It was last weekend, and the cards you see there are what I made whilst chatting, swigging coffee and being very smiley. Great morning; had forgotten what a tonic a workshop really can be! So the cards are spread out to cheer me whilst I do other stuff. There’s a square blue card from my small stash of cards for men, waiting to be written and posted. There’s also a couple of tags in bags…they explain the teeny photo gifts that are contained with them and are waiting to be sent too. I enjoyed making them, an oasis of just a few minutes in a rather lovely weekend.
I have some (more) new stash to play with and so have every intention of doing that. Wish me luck whilst showing me yours!

  15. Good morning Julia, I went back to bed this morning🥱🤣 you seemed to have worked hard in your workshop. I do like the bottle card. Found myself singing “10 green bottles standing 0n a wall”. Not that all yours are green and you don’t have 10 🤣. Did you have a craft shop? Did you craft while you were working? I see a book to the left - crafting or reading? Happy WOYWW. Angela #10

  16. Love the thoughts of an SU workshop - they seem to do the most amazing cards. So, eager to peek I had to enlarge but it didn't go larger, ah well, a careful peer and happy face on - lovely work Julia.
How lovely it must have been to touch base with an old friend. Funny how pandemic put so much space between us all.
Hugs, Neet 11 (slept in this morning) xx

  17. Like others I think a crafty get together sound fun, and WOW! What lovely makes you brought home. I’ve been to a few SU meets and they’re more productive that my WOYWW was.. what special one that was too.

Love leaf one and floral on top .. interesting variety. I’m finally WOYWWing by refusing to do anything else no matter how much noise it made today. I’ve too much to share as usual.. but mostly pics not talk. So slow these days .. in writing post and comments.

Thanks for Sharing, God bless and keep you safe, and all those you love, hugs Shaz in Oz.x

  21. Oh my- Super late today. I go food shopping Wednesday mornings so life kinda gets in the way and what with one thing and another I am only just up at my desk now, despite taking my photo first thing! But I was determined to showcase the adorable duplicate ATC you sent me. Love it LOADS, so very special.
Loving your positivity after the workshop. Maybe I could do with one of those. Great that you met up with an old friend too, how super. I'm banking some dies from Kraft Crazy so maybe that will give me the incentive to do some crafting, new dies usually do..
Happy WOYWW - Hugs BJ the oh so very late today #24
