What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday 582

This will publish on time this week. Not because I’ve solved the iPad/Blogger situation. Not because I’m on top of the new Blogger. No. Because I had a word with a child. Seriously.
Now, the Workdesk.
Set aside the fact that you can still see building site through the glass door. In fact, get used to it really...we’ve started the clearing of that section but it’ll prolly be next summer before it’s proper.  So the desk is in action, ta na! Everything sort of pushed back on top of other stuff so I could get to a challenge layout. I’ve got the snippy stickers out too...I’m going to use them to add a few words to the title. I think I said I was cutting them up because they are too snippy for real use. The packet of cards leaning against the drawer set is a workshop kit from Shopkeeper Gal. It’s been there a fortnight and I’ve just unearthed it. It’s a Christmas theme, so maybe it was a subconscious thing to ease it out of sight! You can’t see it, but my WOYWW11 snips bin is at the very far left. It would appear to be out of reach, judging from the state of the desk. So that’s it. A layout with a picture of my two year old daughter, completed on her 27th birthday. Seems about right.
So how’s your desk this week? show and tell, all as usual please.

  1. Morning Julia. Goodness, is it Wednesday already? How did that happen? Will the lounge ever be decorated in time for Daughter 2 and family when they arrive? Hope your life isn't so panic ridden as mine!!!
Take care dear girl. God bless.

  2. Morning Julia! well done on being here in time for me to link myself ha ha. You have way more going on on your desk than I do - I must have a talking to myself to get into action. For the third week running I am sharing the same page (although it has had another layer added!) Maybe next week it'll be finished.... Have a great week.

  5. I had a pleasant lie in this morning hence the late number in the link up Julia. Happy birthday to Miss Dunnit! I still haven't started the scrapbooks that I bought to make for my sons when they turned 18. One will be 28 in November and the second turned 26 in May. Oh well... I really like the layout you have created. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #10

  8. My desk has moved to the settee in front of the telly. We’ve had that much rain I’ve decided to do the only thing of comfort, sit, stitch, watch telly, do crosswords and faff about on tinternet. I’ve never done as many blog posts haha
    Have a good week Julia

  11. Morning Julia, interesting view through the window, I'm sure it will be great when it's finished though it seems to me that just when you think everything's done something else turns up or at least it does at ours Lol! Nice busy desk today, been a bit like that myself with too many projects going on at the same time but can't get my head round some of them. As anyone heard how Shaz in Oz is getting on? Have a lovely crafty woyww, Angela x14x

  13. Where do the years go Julia. M was 40 this year and it doesn't seem 5 minutes since I was racing round the garden with her! Your LO of that little lass will be lovely - so many happy memories I am sure. xx Jo #17

  14. Ha ha I LOVE that you are as behind as I am with some of the scrapping old photos - does make you feel good though when you have. At least they smiled and posed when they were younger - I would have to pay to get a nice photo today ( without a scowl anyway).
    Have a fab week.

  16. Hi Julia, hehe I know how you feel - I had to ask a nine-year-old how to use instagram the other day, it's all just normal to them isn't it? Also relate to retrospective scrapping - I am still working through pictures of my sons and they're 36 and 38 this year!! Going to try pocket pages to speed things up a bit. Love the look of the page you have going there though and very apt to make it on her birthday :) Annie C #19

  17. As long as we have a desk somewhere crafters tend to just get on with it ... after a bit of faffing around, rearranging or procrastinating of course. Have a good week Julia.

  19. Happy WOYWW. Here before lunch today! Well done for getting some crafting done. I seem to only be making ATCs and testing products at the moment. I will be diving into the world of design for the next few weeks and travelling to England, so apologies now for my absence in the world of WOYWW. Ali x #21

  20. Brilliant, that's just a quarter of a century late! Makes me feel better about all those photos I took of my infant son 15 or so years ago - that means I still have at least 10 years to procrastinate over mine LOL! On the plus side - working with decades old photos brings back the memories from that time long ago. I'm sure your daughter will be chuffed with that layout - happy birthday to her and happy WOYWW to you Julia! xx zsuzsa #23

  21. Hi Julia, back again! Ah yes, the good old 'push to one side' method of crafting, I know it well. In general terms, I agree, asking a child is the fastest way to solve anything techy, unless you happen to have an IT master in the house, lol. Loving the layout, bet that brought back some memories. Hope you are all safe & well, Love & hugs to you all, Shaz #7 XxXxXx

  23. Gosh, you have a 27 year old - Love that your LO is of her at two year old. Is it for her or for you? I guess she/they have gone back now and house is reverting to normal.
Love the thought of you doing "C" cards - I am beginning to wonder how on earth I will fit them in this year as I seem to be always chasing my tail anyhow. Hope you make a start on them now that they are unearthed.
Now what should I do next, finish the project (which is going back to basics), do my blog for tomorrow or the birthday card that needs to be there for Friday?
    Oh heck
    Hugs, Neet 3 xx

  24. Hi Julia, yep I am guilty of the same thing asking DS about things on my phone. :) ( because, my mil and husband expect me to know to fix theirs hahaha) I love the light coming into your desk and I thought everyone put the drop pieces like that while cutting. ( I do, but if the pile gets too big I sweep them up into my hand and then the bin under the table because, I will knock them on the floor if I don't and I have lost stamps and dies into the bin, which I was lucky enough to find. SO, because of that action I tend to clean as I go every so often when I am playing.)

  25. I love your idea about cutting up the words to those snarky quotes. They are funny to read, but you’re right, too snarky to actually use. LOL. Have a wonderful week. Dorlene #30? Geez...I forgot to look at my number. LOL

  26. Hi, Julia!

You'll have to show some "before and after" pictures. I do not remember what was outside your window. Was that your conservatory?

Nothing for me to post today. I did make my 2 weekly Christmas cards, but I think there's only so many of those people can take!

    Take care and stay safe.
    Happy Wednesday!
    Kathryn

I'm still perfecting my push-it-back-to-make-a-space technique..
