What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 570

It’s extra super whizzday isn’t it! My word, I thought that we were meant to be a bit fed up and bored by now? Obviously not enough of us are, because even these lockdown weeks are speeding past. I hope they are for you; if you’re having one of the fed up days, reach out. I’m very confident that any of us are up for a chat either by typing or speaking! Anyway, here’s a long shot, incorporating the top layer of my lovely, uber useful trolley.
You’d never know it, but I’ve used so many more scraps since I transferred them. Mind you, it’s been during lockdown that I’ve done loads of scrapbooking and created more scraps! You can see there’s a finished LO on the desk, and considering how busy a LO it is, it’s a minor miracle that I’ve kept the desk so tidy. Laziness really, the boxes of embellishments and other stash are all on the floor under the desk and even picking them up, let alone going through them and making decisions seemed like hard work....so I used what was knocking about on the desk surface.  You can judge..
Yep, more from the WOYWW Anniversary Crop last year. And, talking of Anniversary......number 11 is week 572 already my life. So in these strange times, I am setting you a challenge which you can read about in the previous post HERE.
Now, usual rules apply here, please share your desk by blogging about it. put WOYWW in your post title, exclude blatant promotion and link here. Thank you very much!

  1. to be honest when I read your post about the anniversary it still seemed ages away.... er, no!! time is flying for sure; and the talk of possible lockdown easing is causing work to suggest I should maybe think about going back to the office when it does... your layout from the last crop looks great! Seems you had some pretty decent embellies kicking about on the desk anyway! Take care, stay safe.

  2. Well I am the Queen of a busy scrap page, loving yours. I already have 14 x 60 page 12x12 albums so I need to cram as much on a page as possible!
I'm finding the days/weeks flying by too.... but I'm used to being at home although usually alone but now I have hubby and son here 24/7 as well but it's not too bad, even sat in the sun yesterday. BJ#2

  3. Morning Julia. Gorgeous scrap page - and it gives me heart. You put lots on a page... that's encouraging!! Well, challenge accepted - have found my unfinished symphonies and started work (the only possible way I have of finishing them by May 20). You'll see when you get to my [post...
Take care of yourselves. Stay safe. God bless.

  4. Eek only two weeks Julia. Time certainly flies even during lockdown. I have a few unfinished cards from previous workshops with Maria Moorhouse so I may finish one or two of those for the anniversary week. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #5

  5. Still haven't thought of what I can do apart from those darned suitcases, maybe it is time.
My word, that is a busy looking desk and that trolley ... well what can one say about that? Nothing, so let's say how fab your LO is, and I spot one or two familiar faces on there. Are you going to have one album just for Crops? What a lovely walk down Memory Lane that would be.
    Hugs, Neet xx

  6. I can’t believe we’re approaching another WOYWW anniversary, Julia. Nice way to celebrate it, making an album page with lots of photos. The time is flying by! For me, life goes on much as usual except for the added bonus of having my hubby around all the time, which is just great. I shall miss him when the lockdown is over and he starts his usual gadding about here there and everywhere although I have said it would be nice if he cut back on some of his activities! His lowered stress levels during the lockdown have been great!

    Happy WOYWW,

  7. Now that's a lovely scrap page Julia sat amongst a busy desk, do you have a book for every meet up WoywW year..? It looks like your trolley could do with a haircut as the paper sprouts from it hee hee..
Will have a think about the fast approaching 11th WoywW Anniversary you kinda threw me off track today.
Thanks for sharing & keeping a handful of us together Hugs Tracey #6 xx

  9. Great LO! It was such a lovely day and the smiles say it all. Glad you've been having such a good time crafting, one of the positives about lockdown eh? Hope you and the family are all ok xx Gosh time is going fast, I'm so glad we managed to see each other in March because goodness knows when the next time will be!

  10. Lovely to see a desk in action and I find my little trolley to be indispensable. I had read your post about the anniversary and I am already dragging things out of the cupboard and the piles of UFO's get bigger and bigger. Great idea. will wait for more instructions before I proceed. Haha I certainly don't want to give a UFO a sense of seeing the light of day if not necessary. Stay safe and keep crafting.

  15. Definitely up for the challenge as it is a long overdue projecct that bears some relevance to WOYWW. Love your desk and the scrap box!! Oh heavens, that's a battle I won't ever win! I did really tidy up my white and black card scrap box last year, cutting every piece into a square (from 1" upwards) or an ATC size. I do use them quite a lot I must admit and it hasn't got out of control again. Have a good day, stay safe, stay well, Cindy #18

  16. Ah - what a happy day that was - thanks for making such a lovely LO memory there Julia. Your idea for a celebratory piece is a good one - will need to get going on something. My sewing table is covered with fabric for medical gowns, masks and all sorts of stuff - good tidy up needed here! xx Jo

  17. Hi Julia, great scrapbook page, that was a fun day to remember. Time is flying by, I'm enjoying working from home, and sitting in the garden at lunchtime, so far great weather this week for my week off. I love your desk, lots of interesting looking stuff lurking on it. Your anniversary challenge sounds like a great idea. My eldest grandchild is 7 and 1/2 and I started a cross stitch kit for him, I think I started it before he was born. It has moved house with us twice, and still not finished. I'm not even half way through it - how bad is that? Although if I finish it, I will probably have to do 2 more for my other grandchildren, and then a 4th as my older daughter is planning to have another baby! That will take me about 24 years to do, at my current speed! Challenge accepted, but the cross stitch may be beyond my capabilities to finish in two weeks - I might have to find something else! Have a lovely week and stay safe and well, Heather xx #20

  18. Hi Julia, I don't know where the times going it's pretty scary really. I ended up buying three of those trolleys though I'm still not properly organised in the cabin as things had to go on hold for a while. The challenge is good but just hope I can fit it in to everything else, sure I will. It certainly wont be a problem finding something to use. Have a lovely woyww and a happy crafty week, Angela x21x

  19. I keep meaning to scrapbook but get distracted by other things, I think it because as you say, it takes up so much room - I will pledge to do a page or maybe even two for the anniversary, it is the day before my actual 37th anniversary. You page is fab by the way. I have to say, I am okay in lock down, its not too much of a strain on me personally, not missing work or even socializing that much, I guess because of our situation ( three adult children with additional needs all at home) we don't get much chance to go out anyway , so its not a big issue here- I would like my children to be able to attend their placements but can't see that happening anytime soon as they are all so vulnerable but we are all safe and reasonably happy so can't complain xx Have a good week . 20. Good morning Julia :) I was sorry to miss last week, but I had computer problems. This year will be my first year for joining in with your anniversary and I am glad I am not the only with several UFO's. Lovely layout on your busy desk. I am finding lockdown very peaceful, the weeks have flown past. I do miss hugging my children and grandchildren though. Angela #23 x

  21. Morning Julia
Time certainly is flying. It's such a luxury to have so much of it to indulge all this craftiness. I think we'll look back on these days with fondness when it's all over.
It's reassuring to know I'm not the only lazy scrapbooker. So many times I can't be bothered to rummage for stash and end up using what's lying around on my layouts. It's only usually when I'm tidying that I find things in boxes and think oh I can use this and that'd be good and then promptly forget about them all.
Have a good week and take care

  22. Hi Julia,so many fab offcuts in that box! Love the blue/purple stripy one. Great layout from the crop, some fab pictures of our crafty friends. Great idea about the ATC idea, we can do them later in the year, if we get to have a crop. And I know I have enough UFO's left to do this theme, lol. You are so right about Doug, he is an excellent trainer. He has to be good, he trained me in our last job, lol. But he does have endless patience with people, and is really good at getting the best out of them. He's really enjoying what he's doing at the mo. Love and hugs to you both, stay safe, Hugs, Shaz #8 XxXxXx

  23. Good Morning Julia, ah I love that you have the scraps fanned out so you can see more of them at a glance, when I did something similar with a basket on the side trolley here I tend to make mine all line up so I end up walking my fingers through all the pages. Love the page you have made and yes, it seems like the time is just a blur now. ~Stacy #27

  27. Hi Julia! I love the layout and the cart is the perfect height to house scraps and other goodies for easy access. I am happy to hear you are getting some real scrapbooking time in during lockdown. Also thank you for mentioning that we can all reach out if we feel extra gloomy. It's important for us all to know we have people to chat or text with when the going gets rough.
I like the idea of a UFO to work on for our anniversary. I will start thinking about and digging out some to choose from. Because let me just say, there is no shortage of UFOs in my stash!!! ;)
Have a blessed day and stay well my friend!

  32. Hi, Miss Julia! Sorry to be late, you know, that time difference..the virus has seemed to slow down the clock.....(do you buy it?)

Envy your expertise with that dang pink tape gun! I've had mine for years and never been able to make it work! I gave it to Mike to "fix". He can make it work but it just frustrates me!! Any secrets?

Stay well, say Hi to hubby!

  35. So sorry that I visit you so awefully late Julia... days are over before I know it - time seems to speed even more since the lock down... I read your 'anniversary blogpost' and am thinking about it (I don't really have UFO's laying around, but will check if I overlooked/forgot about something maybe...) I love your layout, I'm in a scrapbooking mood lately, yours is inspiring! HAve a nice week dear, love from HOlland. Marit #25
