What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 489

Well mine's still a mess of stuff, but at least it looks a little more of a productive mess!

The little house/shelf kit thing has been pushed back and will probably end up being re-filed for another time; I consulted my diary and realised that I need to be doing stuff other than faffing for a while! There's a pile of cards in cello bags that form part of my kits for this year's Marython. I need them to be finished this week so I can concentrate on getting other stuff sorted. It's all a matter of prioritising the deadlines!
The box of Sharpies was there because I needed to address a parcel earlier. There's bag of Dolly Mixtures.I bought them to take to share with my Mama when I visit, but they were on my desk and so I opened them yesterday. Fortunately, I have a conscience and did manage to save her some!
Hanging from the arm of the light is the result of my first Christmas workshop..look, I made a bauble. Horrid photo, but I deserve it because I'm showing off! It was all done under the direction of the amazing Sandra, in just under 3 hours and 2 cups of coffee.
Come on then Deskers, show and tell. Bet some of you are doing much better than a 20 card kit and a bauble over a week! Please put WOYWW in your blog post title and link here. Lovely.

  5. Good Morning Julia, I am loving that Bauble, there's nothing like a handmade to adorn the tree and I get so carried away with them each year making them with the intention of giving as gifts but more than half of them end up on my over decorated tree..!
I'm sure that house frame is just waiting for a monumental idea and not being pushed aside as you say hee hee!
Thanks for hosting Julia, take good care & Happy WOYWW.

  8. I think you’ve done really well to do a 20-card kit and a bauble, Julia! Love the bauble - really pretty. Hope the workshop goes well, and I’m sure they will enjoy the cards. You’ve been a lot more productive than me this week, anyway.

    Happy WOYWW,

  10. Hi Julia, I would like to tell you I've done more but still visiting mum and dad and if that's not enough I've started with Sciatica down my leg so feeling a bit rubbish at the moment but I did manage to go to Doncaster Dome for the Craft show. I do find walking gently actually eases it slightly but standing still for long is not good. Personally it sounds to me as though you've been really busy so well done you. Have a lovely woyww and big hugs, Angela xXx

  12. Hi Julia, well, 20 card kits is definitely a huge achievement! Go you. lol. Loving the bauble, seen lots of them lately, but resisting for now, as I know they'd just not get made before Christmas! How about we start a thing for Easter Baubles? Love and Hugs, Shaz #6 XxX

  13. Mm don’t think I’d ever do 20 card kits Julia or abauble either. I’m really good at making messes but not good at cleaning them up though I’ve decided.
I also glad you saved some sweeties for mumma. My visiting will be delayed. Two friends needing time, one with her darling mumma fading so they come first. .. but planned to do really well .. glad had post done.. have great week prayer hugs, Shaz.x PS thanks for email. Plan to reply .. soon. Xxxxx

  14. Happy Wednesday Julia! I do so love your bauble! It is adorable. There is something so special about handmade ornaments, they make a tree more personal I think!

  15. Well, Julia, I can safely say I am not doing anything like as well as your 20 card kits and a fabulous bauble! Nice save for your mum but you could always pick up another bag before visiting her - just encouraging. There's not much to show on my desk this week but I've shown and told - and that's half the battle. :) Have a great week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #22

  16. Your desk looks very productive. Love the Bauble. Gave me an idea. Mine is worse than yours and the result of book promotion stuff. Creative, yes? cardmaking/ stamping? Not a bit. Dose plenty of gluing count? LOL Missed you, Miss Julia. I think I'm back for awhile. Hugs & Creative Blessings! Kelly #26

  17. From one productive clutter to another, I like what I see. Especially your bauble. Every year, I buy the supplies to make one and then forget about them and then the season passes and I say, "Maybe next year!" Don't ask how many years I say this or how many of those clear balls I have accumulated.
Have a blessed day my friend!
