What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 451
Well, I know we all say it, but last week really got away from me, I haven't finished it yet! Anyway, here's the desk...just finishing a fun card to add to my workshop samples for next week.
I took the photo on Tuesday afternoon. The only change is that the card is missing, and it's as dark as a dark thing outside right now! There's my box of gems. I use them, but I kind of like to buy them too, so it's fair to say that there is always a box full. Three pairs of scissors - not bad in terms of restraint! See at far left there's a single leaf on a white sheet..I only noticed it on the photo, its a stamped coloured and cut out leaf from I don't know when...it's just magically appeared after being lost. I expect at the time I cursed the losing of it and had to stamp and colour a replacement for it! I'm tidying later, in anticipation of spending some time getting to know the Scan&Cut. Time is against me, but my conscience tells me to get on with it!
Show and share then, if you will...put WOYWW in your post title and link it here.
my, you're early this morning - no doubt so you can get ahead! LOVE those circles; they are gorgeous, bright and zingy on what you say is a very dark still morning! It can start getting light in the mornings now, I won't complain! Have a good week.
ReplyDeleteMorning Julia. Really like that card - how did you do those circles? Yes - VERY dark this morning, blowing a hooley and throwing it down with torrential rain here! P'haps I'll just snuggle up in the house and not go anywhere... just travel the world with everyone here.
ReplyDeleteTake care. Enjoy the scan n cut. God bless.

The wild wind woke me at 3.30am, so I got to my desk... Lovely to be back at the weekly gathering :D
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW!

funny how those leaves jus appear and disappear, with no seaming effort of our own!

Love the look of the card; those circles are so bright. Typical about that stamped leaf turning up once you don't need it any more. Have fun with the Scan N Cut. Sarah #?
ReplyDeleteThat is a fun card, indeed, and I don't blame you for being addicted to buying gems! The most exciting thing about the electronic cutters is the endless possibilities! Happy WOYWW! zsuzsa #7 (I don't think I've ever been this early before!)
ReplyDeleteAt last I feel that I’m starting to surface from the dark after months of being off piste. Gone off piste on my blog today but in a different way
ReplyDeleteTake care lovely Julia and thanks for keeping us all sane
LYNN xx
Laughed a your leaf appearing. I have a imaginary seagull called Fred and anything goes missing Fred has taken it. When my grandson was little I invented a story about Fred and he would run up the beach shouting Fred. Fred even followed me back to UK for holidays! Only 3 pair of scissors you're slipping. Enjoy the week. Anickoana#3
ReplyDeleteLove the circle card, might have to try that sometime - all good intentions you know. As for the leaf, I know exactly, happened to me loads with diecuts, must be the craft fairy having a field day. I have a drawer full of gems really ought to use them more. And I dunno about dark as I haven't opened the curtains yet but it is jolly windy out there. Got the window open again and the trusty fan was on all night too, ho hum! BJ#14
ReplyDeleteIt’s been a ‘so much to do, so little time’ week for me too. Love the card you’re making with the circles.
ReplyDeleteOff now to tie down everything that moves outside....it’s a windy one here!
Hugs,
Annie x
Oh Julia, I had to smile! How many times do I loose little bits only to find them days later after I've had to make more, pleased it's not just me and pleased the leaf turned up. Like the look of the circle card too. Happy woyww, Angela x17x
ReplyDeleteLove the circle card - I must get to a class soon. Please tell what you have in mind for the Woodware Celebrating You stamp set. It's been on your desk since week 448 so you must have plans for it. Do I need this set?
ReplyDeleteHi Julia! Haven‘t been here for a long time, but it still looks familiar. Love your busy desk.
ReplyDeleteCheers

I love the card, what great colours. The gem box looks inviting, I'd love a rummage as I find it hard to resist bling!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week,

That's a funky card! I like the circles and colours a lot, really cheers up a gloomy day 😊 Good luck with the Scan n Cut, have you got your Big Girl Pants on in order to tackle it?!

Hi Julia, Love the card. Nice and colourful.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a happy WOYWW

Love the bright colored circle card. And the sentiment is great.
ReplyDeleteLots of bling in that box. I can't believe I am seeing green grasses outside that window. Oh for Spring, long walks in the sunshine and some flip flops.
Have a fun week Julia.
Ooh, the frustration of losing a small cut out clipping... I even turned the full paper-bin around a few times (the mess, oh the mess...!) and found the little 'thingie' long after I'd finished the piece with a new clipping or alternative 'thingie'. I'd say, keep the leaf save! Happy woyww Julia, big hug from Holland. Marit #24
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW. Lovely bright card design - and glad that lonely leaf turned up. Hope you get some time to have a play with your Scan n' Cut. I am rapidly realising that there is so much you can do with them. It is just a matter of finding the time and brain power to have a go. Ali x #28
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, finally able to comment, our internet has been playing at stupid idiots this morning!Really stunning card in the front. Like the box of gems- I must sort one out to put mine in, they're all chucked in a drawer at the moment. Love & Hugs, Shaz XxX
ReplyDeletePlaying this morning. Now for the big clean-up!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the gems; the only items I can say I'm hording and using (except for the cool chocolate colored ones; half a pack left, and I can't find them anywhere!! Shame they go with so much of my work! LOL!) I love the bright circles on the card-very cheery. And yes, get on that Scan and Cut! I want to see!'-K #29
ReplyDeleteI like how vibrant the rings are on that card it makes it feel so happy. :) and I bet you are going to need big chunks of time and patience to learn that machine but, hopefully it goes smoothly.
ReplyDelete(and I have little leaves like that I decided to save them for next time around hahahaha) ~Stacy #32
Busy, busy desk Julia.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the Scan & Cut - do let us know how you get on.

What a fab woyww tfs xx Jan 33
ReplyDeleteI love a busy desk - yours looks great! And you can never have too many scissors! Have a great week! Lindart #35
ReplyDeleteLove those bright circles - are they die cuts?
ReplyDeleteLooks kind a busy and restrained in the scissor department. Back at my usual friends and you would not believe the amount of scissors I have just seen in a box. Took me a couple of minutes to decide whoch ones to use.
Have a nice day (as they say here in the USA)
Hugs, Neet 2 xx
Your desk looks busy and I love the circles and colors on your card. And what fun I would have going through that embellishment drawer! Happy WOYWW! #34
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, not taking part this week as no desk to show! My old one has gone, and the new one not in place yet. B&Q messed up my order, so maybe another couple of weeks before the correct units are delivered! I love the coloured ring cards ... and your box of gems. I have a passion for gems, always buying them! I'm looking forward to seeing how you get on with the Scan n Cut. Mine is temporarily back in the box! Have a lovely week, and I hope to have some form of desk or temporary table to show off next week! Heather x
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, had to fix my link - can you delete #35? #37 works Thanks, Lindart
ReplyDeleteLove that card! Such a creative, busy desk! have a wonderful week Julia.
ReplyDeleteGremlins in craft rooms are responsible for a whole lot of stuff going missing. Always lovely to see what you have been doing.
