What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 426

The staged one....where I actually clear up and show the packets of stamps that you've seen in a clump resting on my iPad deckchair thingy! Staged also because I took the photo yesterday afternoon - I'm up and at it and away early today so don't want to have to encounter publishing problems (which always occur when I'm in a hurry...!)
I don't actually know that the stamps are very much easier to see than last week, but I've tried! Amazing to think that minutes before, and again not long after this shot, it was dark and raining - 'sunny with showers' the forecasters cheerily describe it. Urgh.
So, you can see the stamps are all from Woodware....(I think I'm fangirling Francoise!). One of the reasons they are like that is because I was doing the thinkventory thing. Arrange them in front of me and let them talk to me. Inspiring me for Christmas stuff in the summer requires a lot of rubbery wordsmithing from them I can tell you!
The little striped bag is the only new thing this week, it contain 3 buttons in a turquoise, shell like material. For my scrapbook. Of the American holiday. Sometime.
Show and share then, gentle desker! Oh and...there's a new logo (see previous post) if you're interested.
Cool. See you online!

  5. As I said last week I think I am still on last Christmas's scrapping and even that is proving a challenge can't even think of this Christmas, good luck to you with that. Got the logo - cool Thanks BJ#6

  6. The earliest I think about Christmas is 30th September that's the day after my sister's birthday which is the last of the important ones.
But you've planted a seed in my brain and it's a Christmas coloured one of what I've been obsessed with this week. Hmm not sure whether to thank you or not haha

  8. Love the stamps and the sunshine but not so keen on all the showers in between. I got caught in a heavy thunderstorm yesterday....it wasn't funny! Just wish it would rain all night and stay sunny all day....yes I want it all hehehe.

  9. Great new logo. My desk always seems staged because I take the photos on a Tuesday and write my blog ready for posting (especially during term time a requirement). Love the new Woodware stamps although I haven't thought about C much yet. Happy WOYWW Sarah #12

  10. Hi Julia I am back!!! of course you may not have even realised I'd gone lol I love the new logo I just have to get it on my blog. Great stamps, I have noticed how Christmas is creeping in - not that I mind as I do love it. However I wish we could have a bit more Summer weather wise. Have a great week. Anne x ##13

  11. Hi Julia, love the new logo but the stamps are still not doing it for me. I especially like the reindeer and got him in the hope that I could be persuaded to get started with the Christmas cards but it's not worked so far. However, it looks like you're not doing much better so maybe we need a new approach, if I think of one I'll let you know! Have a lovely woyww, Angela x15x

  13. Surprise~! So happy to be back. Lovely sunshine in those windowsm and the green. Weatherman all over the world must be the same. We attended a baseball game last night, after a drenching pour down, it was cancelled, we came home soaked, hungry and cold. But thankful for the much needed rain. So taking inventory, must now be the time of year. I've sorted and regrouped, my stamps started by missing those "Bird" stamps ~ Loving the Logo. Thanks for your FB encouragement. Have a fun week.

  14. Love the big PEACE stamp. I would need a shotgun next to my head to make me do Christmas in August LOL! And even then, I'm not sure I would deliver! Proudly displaying the new logo! xx

  15. I am right there with you on the Christmas stamps - a complete blockage in summer.
Trouble is with me I have so much WIP that I haven't time to think about Christmas as yet. Thinking of going away for it but it still means making cards!!
    Off to see previous post.
    Hugs, Neet 5 xx

  17. I have stamp envy, Julia. As for getting motivation to think Christmas in the summer, I do it all year round, which is why I originally started my Christmas challenges to make me get on with Christmas cards throughout the year ... but I still get to September and start selling and find I need lots, lots more ... so I need some motivation (and a bit more time, which I don't have so much nowadays) to get on and make more. I'll be back later to show my desktop, but other things are pressing first. I've just taken photos, but that's as far as I've got so far. xx

  20. Happy WOYWW. Love the new logo - and will get it onto my blog now (or it will end up being delayed!). Lots of stampy goodies to play with. I bought a fantastic set of stamps/stencils from Create & Craft with the voucher I got for renewing my membership (and cashback from shopping through the cashback site I use now - so they almost paid me for having the set!), but no Christmas stuff. I have cleared out my festive stash box and only keeping the stuff that I really will use. Ali x #20

  22. Lovely new stamps. I know what you mean about struggling with Christmas cards in the summer. Love the logo. I just have to figure out how to use it. LOL. And I did read the previous post. It is a user issue. ;-). April

  28. Hi Julia, I don't know where yesterday went but my mercy mission took longer than hoped for. Anyhow, I'm here today and can tell you that I've added your new logo to my sidebar for all to see. I like the waterpainted effect - very pretty colours. I've had a good peak at your stamps - well, I would, wouldn't I? I like Woodware stamps for a few reasons - they're big, easy to colour and some lend themselves very nicely to paper piecing. I like the idea of pulling out a bunch of stamps and having a 'thinkventory'. Could be very helpful when I'm lacking inspiration, or even inclination. On scrapbooking the American holiday , I have similar plans for our Highland holiday. It'll be 'sometime' before it gets done! Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #21
