Whats On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 398

I've made a fine mess and a reasonably productive mess too - cards for workshops are on my agenda. The angle of the smaller guillotine suggests a landslide. It's a correct suggestion but luckily I was sitting at the desk and so was able to put my hand out to stop everything - and by some force of inertia, everything did stop and so I left it like that!
Even though I've used it and finished with it, the Visible Image stamp that's lying face up there in the centre is clean. I cleaned it. Now of course I need to put it away, but goodness, if I do all that in the same sitting, even I'll start worrying about me!
The box of coffee pods at right is a box of coffee pods, waiting to be wrapped, with the other box as a gift. Nothing on this desk is waiting to be altered into a coloured version of itself!

The plastic boxes under the coffee pods  are filled with clear and cling stamps. I don't use these often, but am dissatisfied with the storage, so of course, I haven't put them away..the idea being that them being in my way will prompt me to do something....ha!
Forgive me for not visiting at all last week, I was full of snot and sore and now I have a wonky half head of tubes, it knocked me sideways by overwhelming all my working tubes! And also this week, you'll miss LLJ...the next two or three weeks are too full and haphazard in the internet stakes for her whilst she shifts West, so only expect her when you see her, wont you.
So if you got through all of that, take this as an invitation please, to show us your desk. Put WOYWW in your post title and ink it here. Thank you. Oh and put the kettle on... this is meant to be fun..!

  2. Signing in from another fog filled Lancashire day. That's two in a row where you can't see your hand in front of your face but how it stills the air. Peace !
Anyway I've been bringing the house back to life after packing away the Christmas malarkey, which gets on my nerves and I could live without. So no crafting other than throwing a few flower arrangements together.
Hope you are on the mend Julia

  4. Hey, Julia - love your new blog template. I wonder if people have problems posting a comment though? The comment link is missing from the main page. It must be a Blogger glitch - I had the same happen once with the G+ comments. Nice landslide - or rather paperslide, LOL! zsuzsa #14

  5. Hi Julia. I've managed to find a comment box by coming to you via your Facebook link....how strange is that? Love the new look blog...looks like you've Spring cleaned it 😀
Hope you are now feeling much better and able to enjoy life.

  6. Hi Julia, I had a job to find the comment box, but somehow (I've forgotten how) I got it.

  7. Sat here for a full minute looking for the comment box - I'm soo out of practice LOL! Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better - I, as I'm sure you are dying to know - am feeling ridiculously well (oh I just ignore all the aches). I put this down to limiting my contact withe outside germy world as much as possible and I haven't had a sniffle since November. And NO COUGH. I had forgotten what it was like to breathe without a cough and be able to end a sentence without a cough. So I'm dug in for the duration!! Love your desk, including landslide. That's usually when I decide SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE. Have a great Wednesday, Cindy xx

  9. Glad you're feeling a bit better. I'm a bit the opposite; I tend to put things away as soon as I have used them, even though I sometimes end up having to get them out again 5 minutes later. At least it gives me some exercise lol! Happy WOYWW Sarah #29

  10. Good to know you are feeling a bit better, Julia, but I hope you are much better very soon. These winter colds are just a pain! Nothing wrong with a productive mess, better than the alternative. I see you have a new look - very fresh and spring like. Wishing you a better week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #21

  12. Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling well, and pray you are soon back to normal. I smiled with your logic of keeping an item out, in hope that it will prompt you to do something with it, since that doesn't work well for me - LOL! Have a blessed week, my friend and give my regards to Miss LLJ.

  14. Your desk looks very busy but somehow I see an order in it. I tend to be a tidier in my scrapping; do a layout, tidy; do another layout, tidy etc. I am glad to hear that you are doing somewhat better. ... Mary-Lou #26

  15. Happy New Year, Miss Julia.
I hope this week finds you feeling better. Go you on stopping the landslide, though that does still look like an accident waiting to happen hehehe.. Don't cut yourself trying to stop it. In the words of Frozen - Let it Go! LOL
    Creative Blessings! ~Kelly #41

  16. Aha! Found your comments. I have a guillotine like that, love it. Two bottles of Distress stain, that could have been a very messy landslide!
Hope you are feeling better this week, Hugs and lots of love, Shaz xxx#5

  17. WOW..I found it. I am amazed at your photo, to see green grass. I hear you on the storage of clear stamp storage, I've now got them by category in the plastic drawer chests under my desk. Drawers remove easily and it seems to work. Old school, but I love my wood. Already warming up and I may get to get out of this house after a 3 day confinement. Enjoy a lovely week.

  21. Oh, I do hope you are feeling much better! So glad you were able to prevent the landslide! :)

Yes, it does seem logical that if it's out, we'll be prompted to do something with it . . . eventually.

  29. Happy WOYWW, Julia. Hope you're feeling better; it sounds as if you're on the upswing. Good for you having cleaned the stamp -- I have a cluster that need attention at the moment and only laziness has prevented me from doing anything about it. Take care! ~ Laura #56

  31. Glad to hear you're starting to feel a bit better. When you come up with a good idea for storing those cling stamps please share it - mine are in a filing box but despite trying to label the sections I can never find what I'm looking for.

  32. Your desk looks just messy enough to happy, avalanche included. I too put things in my way to force myself to do something with them. What I usually end up doing is piling them up and moving them back and forth. Not terribly useful....

    ReplyDelete
  33. I hope you are feeling better Julia, I started organizing my cling/clear stamps maybe a year or two ago... which prompted me to start buying more of them... and so far after getting a Misti made me actually LIKE using them *gasp* I know I have been a very vocal anti-clear stamp person for too many years to count after tossing the first ones I bought at some scrapbooking conventions when they first came out... I think if you do organize yours and get one of those tools that will allow you to re-stamp ( there are more than just a "misti" out there now that are more affordable versions.. that you may just like yours a little more too. ~Stacy #58

  40. I commiserate with you over the snot and head fog! I can't remember a head cold ever being this horrible. We have had it almost a month, a round of steroids and antibiotics don't seem to be helping over much! I have been doing a little stamping and card making too mostly because i am so tired of doing nothing but don't have the energy to do much else. How you are feeling better soon! Vickie #54
