Whats On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 377

Well look at me....washing's out, desk is relatively tidy and it's good light.
Oh..you can't see the washing, waving on the line. Oh well, you'll just have to take my word for it that this morning has started well. It should continue so too, I'm off to help that Jan and her important G to shift stuff from one house to another house. I'm going to be a van driver. It's been ages...!
So, an aerial view of the desk, taken with no effort at all - I just held my ipad in the air; no chairs used or stunts pulled to achieve this pic. You can see the top side of the painted stone now. The first one I painted is by my flower pot on the front doorstep. I like it. And so with a spectacular lack of imagination, I'm making all the stones look similar! That's the extent of this weeks crafting; I keep talking about intentions, but there's so much that keeps me away from it. I firmly believe that you make time to do things you really want to do, so I'm obviously not quite as inspired as I want to be!
Please join and show what you're doing and where you do it; it's just fun.

  6. Good luck with the van driving. You are putting me to shame with all you are doing.
Love the stone, that is fabulous and what a transformation it has made since last week. Hope you have done one for Jan for her new home.

  7. Happy WOYWW. You are up earlier than me (although I did feed the cat and let the dog out before getting to my desk). Lovely sunny view of your desk (it is a bit cloudy and dull here this morning). Van driving is something I do not do now, as our farm van has a manual gearbox and my legs(arm/hand/shoulder) do not like them. Ali x #12

  8. Hmm funny that Julia how your thoughts reflected my own. Apart from helping my goddaughter the creative thing is just not happening
Good luck to everyone with the move. Don't be overdoing it missus.

  9. Oh wow....I am seriously impressed. Washing out, tidy desk, evidence of creative play AND you are playing removal lady today with the van. It's soooooo good to have to old you back my friend.
Really hope the sun shines and today goes well.

  11. Loving the painted stone, Julia! Glorious day for a house move for Jan - hope it won't get too hot - better than rain, though - so good of you to help out with the van! Sometimes our intentions and plans to create are more exciting than actually creating something - as long as it gives us an emotional boost, it's all good! Have a lovely week!

  16. Well I was half sorted today by taking my photos yesterday but only just got around to writing blog post. So difficult doing it in the evening as hubby is usually on the PC, in fact he wants to use it NOW from work too. I had to say NO. He knows what WOYWW means to me so succumbed!
Super painted stone Julia and don't do too much in the moving/driving department. If you get tired let everyone know, please.

  17. Enjoy your role as chief van driver Julia! Hope all the move goes well for that little friend of ours - give her a hug from us all. I love that painted pebble - I like a bit of repetition when it comes to crafting - it saves having to start with a clean slate and lots of imagination every time. x Jo

  25. Well, I was on my knees up on my chair to take my photo this morning, but glad you weren't doing any stunts! I haven't driven a van for years. I used to drive the church van with Sunday School kids, but don't think I would have the nerve now. LOL Have a great day! #33

  28. Hi Julia, I'm back now. We've not been told anything more than we already knew, but the surgeon is a really lovely man, which is good. For now, we'll have to be a maybe for the crop, as he's planning on end of Sept, early October. Will know for sure closer to the date. And I still forgot to photograph my stone, to be fair, when I remembered, it was getting dark, and it's on the patio table, which is filthy from the rain, lol. I have to go clean it, and I'll do the photo at the same time. Love & hugs, Shaz #3 xxx

  29. Your stone is very pretty! I sure understand about intentions! Sometimes the mundane things, like washing, have to come first.

  32. I am seem to be lacking in the mojo department, too. But I think my mojo is coming back slowly - I can feel it. :-) Have fun moving. I recently helped a friend move her shop from one place to another and I moved my craft room. As long as it isn't your stuff- it will be great. :-)

  37. I can almost see that washing waving on the line... the weather is so beautiful that I can do laundry twice on a day Γ‘nd get it all dried outside within' an hour - did all the laundry and looking at the empty laundry-bag gives me the feeling that I might have become a good housewife after all, ha! Have a great weekend Julia! Love from Holland, Marit #23

  39. Thanks for your visit, Julia, and yes, you've sussed me out - I do rather like butterflies lol!! I had such a lovely time with my friend and she loved my studio. Her coming was the impetus I needed to get that awful mess cleared up! I feel a lot happier to be in there now.

    Have a great week.
