What's On Your Workdesk? 351

This post is scheduled, and as my desk will be unchanged, I wont feel too bad. We were working elsewhere last week and this week, the only non-free day is Wednesday. I'm beginning to suspect Mr Dunnit's motives!

There's loads on my desk but not much to see. I deliberately haven't changed it because that would be more staging than is worth it! Under the '&' paper is five LOS that I managed to do at the crop at the beginning of the month. Each needs journaling before filing and I simply haven't got further than unpacking yet. I'll show you when they're done. You know I'm good for it, because once done, I'll be smug. The cards in cellopane are spread out on a basket of supplies waiting to be put away. The new cards are part of a selection that I'm choosing from for a workshop. Fascinating. You can just see one of my new stamps 'wood' mounted teacup by Finnabair. I may not drink much tea, but I love to get together for it! And at this angle, it looks strange, but on top of the sellotape is just a reel of tape awaiting my having the strength to load it into the ATG gun. It takes about thirty seconds, so you understand my delaying.
Share then will you, your work surface this week - let us see what you're doing (or not doing, as in my case). No overt advertising please. Put WOYWW in your post title and link here. Cool. As the kids apparently don't say any more. Well, Who knew!

  2. Love the '&' paper. Really love the Kraft 'love' card too - always love circles. Hope the day is a good one and you can sort your layouts - I know they'll be shared with us as soon as you can!

  3. Five layouts already started, that's a really good start....I have not started my Malta layouts from two years ago!!!
I can totally understand why you are procrastinating on the ATG my spool tangled part way through and couldn't get it back on and neither could hubby even with watching a ton of YouTube videos. I ended up putting a new reel on (where do you buy yours from, craft obsessions is the only place I can find?) and what a faff but worth it as its a great tape.

  24. Here you are with lovely papers on your desk and I have just got rid of a "shed load" of them. Yes took a big bag full to a friend at weekend as I so need to clear some stuff out and make room for stuff bought. Must remember I need space for new stuff when I am tempted to buy.
Now what is your DH playing at? Wednesdays!!!

  33. Hi!
My desk is messy and it looks like I do alot. But I am sooo slow. And I jump from one thing to another. Wish I was superdisciplined but I am not...

Have a fun WOYWW and happy week.
Thanks for doing this each week! :D

  34. Hello Julia! I just successfully linked up for first time #44 and am very excited to join the fray here! Your desk looks pretty interesting - I would definitely want to play with those papers. I relate to the ATG reload. I have to get out the instructions every time! Also, journaling on layouts was always something I needed "the right time" to do, then never did. Love the sunlight on your desk. I've been lurking for about a month, readying to enter lol, and have seen mostly pre-dawn desks from you. You get such great sunlight! Have a good one! xoxo

  35. It's a conspiracy!!! Us Yanks you know are great believers in those, well at least I am when it comes to my husband trying to stop me from doing something he isn't a part of lol! I'm just kidding, feeling feisty now that I'm able to move up the stairs without being so sore and out of breath as to need to go back and collapse on the lounge chair. Happy Wednesday!

  39. Did you make the "Love a lot" card? What a cute sentiment!! I want to make that card. Well you deserve away time for sure, and you are so kind to keep us all going whilst your away! So no worries about Mr. Dunnit. Happy Wednesday! Sandy Leigh #51

  40. Good morning (afternoon, or evening), Julia! That ampersand paper is super cool -- I've always had a soft spot for that whimsical punctuation mark. The card that appears to be the second one down in the stack looks intriguing -- a line art floral stamp on a cream background, black text, on a black card. Makes me want to drive home and see if I've got anything similar -- it looks really elegant. Happiest of WOYWWs to you! ~ Laura the Bookworm #60

I don't have one of those large tape holder thingies although I would love one - I'm not very strong either so maybe I'll stick (ha!) with my small tape pens.

  54. Thank you for your two lovely comments, Julia. The recipe for the samosas said to brush with oil, which I did - they still didn't brown. I'm going to try filo pastry next time. Everybody laughs at our choccies in the oven! So glad you like my kitty page. It's finished now, and up on my blog. As for the stress of the dentist, you are quite right - that sort of upset really does contribute to my fatigue. I'm feeling a lot better now, though, and with this week being less busy, I'm able to pace myself. Yum Sing is now happily settled into the family and very happy to have a name at last!
