What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 326

If you have a mind to join us, there are links at the top of this page which will tell you the why and the how. If you don't understand my frantic gabble, do say so. You won't be the first.
You can see that I've managed to keep the left side of my actual working area free of clutter. I do not know how, I can only assume that because I'm right handed, it's all buried under the tablet! The sharpies are there because I was 'touching up' some scuffed heels on a pair of shoes that Miss Dunnit wants me to sell. The tablet of course was keeping me company whilst I erm, create. The Indigo Blu tree stamp that you can see on my clipboard is there because when I go to see Shopkeeper Gal, the plan is to leave it there for someone who wants to buy if from me. I have been over to the shop three times in the last week and each time have forgotten the stamp - indeed, the whole clipboard, which is inconvenient to say the least. There are bits of card and patterned paper glued onto my shopping list so that I can match colours or procure further sheets. I can't remember without the clipboard and it seems now that remembering the clipboard is a feat too much! I love that star bunting die. I bought it last year for Christmas and didn't use it. But this year, I think it may well feature two or three times in workshops - it's there to remind me to check that it's still available.
So, you're inside my head, you've seen my desk..it's about time you showed us yours then...please put WOYWW in your post title and link here. Easy. Harmless. Free. Friendly.

  1. Your desk always makes me smile...I hope you remember the clipboard next time you go to the shop - maybe you should hang it on the front door so you (hopefully) see it as you leave... I like those stars, too. Have a great week.

  6. Well, that stamp looks great so I think it will get sold right away, IF you remember to bring it!
I also like the font in the Christmas stamp (Yikes, Christmas!). It looks very current, if you know what I mean.
    Happy WOYWW!

  7. That clipboard saga made me smile. It's so recognisable. I make a shopping list because otherwise I'd forget the most important things, but then I go and forget to bring the list! Typical!
Yes, that star bunting is very nice. Will make some great Christmas cards.
    Have a good week,
    Lisca

  8. Since I'm still awake, I thought I would stop by and say hello. I get all those little bits of paper left over when I use my cutter, and I see your desk looks like the area around my cutter until I grab the wastebasket and do a proper cleanup about once every ten minutes or so. Yep, I'm anal. Hope your Wednesday is wonderful.

  9. I love the star bunting stamp too but like LLJ, I can't bring myself the use the C word yet (shudder). I couldn't believe it when I actually saw some of your desk. What's going on??? Don't tell me you're starting to go to the neat side...come back to the dark-messy side... Glad to see someone else forgets things time and time again. That's me all over.
Have a great week and to rub it in....it's the second day of spring here YAY, here comes the heat :)

  14. Hi Julia, Hope you remembered your clipboard. Maybe you need to put a note in your car, so you won't pull away without it. i seem to have to do reminder notes more often. As my dad use to say, 'well you aren't getting any younger':)

Hope you have a happy WOYWW

  15. Hi Julia, happy WOYWW. Darn nuisance when you forget bits - I often write shopping notes and then leave them home and after the shopping you realize you didn't even buy the most important thing on the list...fourth time lucky for you, hey!! Do like that star border too - waiting to see what you make with it. Enjoy your week Cheers RobynO#22

  18. Love the star bunting - it will be perfect for Christmas cards. Trying to get myself into the mindset for Christmas stuff but failing so far - I still don't feel we've had summer!

  19. Mm, Julia, my tip of the week.. write a ginormous note "Clipboard - TAKE!" on your keys!!
Attach with masking tape.. could help.. that is what I do with my shopping list so I dont leave it behind.
I often write the said list on the masking tape, tape in onto keys, then reuse to attach to bag/ purse wallet etc :D

Am impressed at your tidy left side of your desk, and yes like that die as well! I put dies on desk to remind me to use them!!

Happy WOYWW, Shaz in Oz.x #27

  22. Everyone is already using the "C" word and I have to admit I'm thinking about it myself. Love your space and I just know if you get the stamp to the shop, it will sell quickly!

  23. Ooh the star bunting die is fab. Lots of uses I guess as we head towards the festive season (though I'm still clinging on to the hope we might see a reappearance of the good ol' British summer before then!). Happy crafting x

  24. Morning Julia. Lovely to catch up with you. I had to laugh at your clipboard to remind you, I'm glad I'm not the only one who puts things in an obvious place and then waltzes out the door with out them.

  25. Got to say, Julia, that I'm suffering from desk envy right now! And you need no more than a glance at my post today to see why ... oh, for this week to be over! I like the little star die too - I can't think why you didn't use it last year but it looks as though you are going to make up for it this year. And the memory thing ... here I am wearing the t-shirt but only because I remembered to put it on :) Have a great week. Hugs. Elizabeth x #37

  26. I have all sorts of excuses for memory dysfunction days ......... keeping myself amused ....... need the extra exercise (useful when you're at the top of the stairs!) ...... just another distraction on the horizon of life .......
hope they don't applaud when you finally remember that clipboard - I hate that, always think it makes me look as though I do it deliberately just for the attention ............

Have a good week whatever you do (or forget to do)
    xx

  28. Happy WOYWW. Love the stamps - hope yours sells quickly. What a great idea to carry around the info for what to buy. I too often rely on memory. Haven't thought about Christmas crafts yet.

  29. Okay.. that wavy star die has my attention. Not sure what I'd use it on so look forward to seeing what you do. My desk is still a clutter but shows a sorting process. Creative Blessings! Kelly #43ish

  30. Really! You had to go putting us in your head? Do you think we'll ever be the same! LOL April

  31. I am thinking you need to move the clipboard to somewhere like where you stash your car keys or your purse or something. ( somewhere off your desk) it just blends in with the desk as "work-to-do" or something kwim? :)

  32. I'm liking the bunting die. Currently trying to make a sensible decision about what to buy in the way of seasonal stamps/dies for upcoming workshops.

  33. This is definitely a different view of your desk and different because we can see DESK! Thanks for sharing your thought process or your lack of thought with the clipboard. I'm afraid it doesn't get any better. I'm forever writing myself notes and lists and leaving them behind. Judy #49

  34. I hate that I need lists to remember the lists....or clipboards, or samples...
That star die is interesting..can't wait to see what you do with it...it is intriguing...

  35. I am loving that star bunting die! I hope to see how you use it in your workshop. Happy WOYWW! #48

  36. I've gotten to the point I have to put it in my bag or hang it on the front door knob lol. Having crafty supplies is so wonderful in life, especially for things like touching up shoes.

The star bunting die is lovely, not that I "need" another die, but if I saw it for sale it'd be difficult to not buy it. It most be tablet day, I've had mine out as well : D. #47

  37. Your post always seems to give me a much needed chuckle! I can't imagine caring around a clipboard but then i do so in my classroom as I check student's work. Perhaps parking it by your car keys will at least get it into the car! Admiring the star bunting, has a touch of whimsy to it. I'm simply not ready to face anything Christmas yet(*sigh...)! Be sure to show us how you used that star bunting when you can. Thank you for stopping by earlier. diane #35

  38. I'm thinking I wouldn't mind buying that tree stamp... I'll have to keep my eyes open, if I fnd it ar something to the likes of it :) i'm always the one who forgets things in this household, but I guess someone has to keep that role (=married to a man who never forgets anything, that can be a pain too!) happy woyww, remember your clipboard!
