What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 259

Well Deskers, it's only a week till our fifth anniversary.  You can read all about the WOYWW what HERE and all about our anniversary ATC swap intentions HERE.  Come on and join in, there's no qualifying period, just play the game!
Meanwhile, here's the desk..it's had a bit of action, at last and will be cleared and tidy. Ummm..any day now.

Taken at about 5.15pm on Tuesday evening, so despite the cloudy grey day interspersed with torrential showers, it's looking pretty good for natural light!  I'm working on a bunch of cards for a workshop on another theme - 'Doilies' this time.  I'm slow..but really quite enjoyed the hour I've managed so far.  Just as well, I want to deliver them before Shopkeeper Gal starts her workshop on Thursday morning.  We'll see.
It's the WOYWW Crop this saturday.  If you have a last minute change and would like to join us, just let me know!  Please though...I'm more than a bit busy right now, so give me a day to respond..I'm not getting to the old computer much!
Meanwhile, jin in with us will ya - show s your workdesk/space and what creativity lies upon it.  We'd like that very much. Thanks!

  1. I would love to be able to say, "I've changed my mind and will be joining you for the crop!" But that will require a WHOLE lot of money!!! Wouldn't that be grand if we could all meet up? :^) patsy

  3. I really do think you need to stage more scenes out the window - who can forget Mr Dunnit in a heap under the long term ladder? :). Just realized I need to finish backing a few ATCs for the swap but looking forward to it.

  5. Other than your desk, your back yard looks like it's getting a makeover. But I love the view from this angle. So much green. Must be from all the rain you are getting. We're in one of those drought danger areas in the states. At least there are no wildfires in this area yet.

Have fun at the crop, and be sure to take lots of photos.

  14. Hi Julia,

I am sure the crop will be a bit hit, I am sorry I cant make it only wish I could, just a tad too far and cold to swim. Say hi to everyone for me will you. As for your desk, do find time for it, it is good for the soul to create.

  30. Great view of the garden Julia.

I keep thinking of moving my work table to face the window but then it would block the radiator during the chillier times so it ends up staying where it is.

Have a great time at the crop.

But what with my new adventure with the dog walking and pet sitting, up early, bed later...no staying up all night blogging! There's no time to come and comment, and I feel that's a bit mean...anyway.... I think my craft room is the same as it was on my last woyww... only worse! so no change there!

  67. Thanks for your lovely enthusiastic comment on my blog, Julia, and I'm glad you like what's going on in my creative world at the moment. I am pleased with how the pages of the book are coming together, with the multiple borders - it's working better than I'd hoped! The knitting is slowly progressing. It's 4-ply, so pretty fine, with 10 rows per inch, but I might get it finished by next winter! Following the 2 graphs isn't too much of a problem really, as long as I remember to cross off each row twice, as I do it.

  68. Oh, Julia, I still love your view out your windows from your space! I wonder would I ever get anything done. I have thought about moving my space upstairs to have a window, but it is too much trouble and not as much space! And I am jealous too, that you all can get together over there! :) Happy WOYWW!

  73. Wow Julia, your desk looks sufficiently used this week!! I can't wait to see everyone's posts with their ATCs soon!! And I SO WISH I could be at the crop...if I didn't live half a world away!

Glad you liked the idea of the food cards for parties! I've been doing that for years. Personally, I can't stand seafood, so if I don't know what is in something that looks like a mish-mash of food, I won't take the chance!! We're alreadt starting to work on food card ideas for the buffet at my daughter's wedding...something elegant and white I think!

    Happy WOYWW (a day late!)
