Lost. Temporarily.

this card featured in the grungy colour workshop last week.
Oh my giddy aunt.  Yesterday's disappearance of Mr Linky was my fault. I was meant to delete an inappropriate link, and because Mr Linky makes it so easy to perform the necessary admin, I was doing it whilst chatting on the phone.  Of course, I deleted the entire thing.  And of course, the tech department at Mr Linky, in a snowy part of the USA, restored it.  They are without doubt, flexible, un-panic-able and brilliant.
I've left a comment on the particular link rather than delete it..I scare myself sometimes!  I'm going to be sticking to my strengths from now on.  Just as soon as I find one.

  6. I thought it was me - I got home from work and went to check a few more desks - eek! glad the problem is sorted and the Mr Linky people did their stuff! Thanks for your email this morning, btw, I have responded.

  7. Hi Julia, I went into panic mode when Mr Linky disappeared - thought it was something I'd done because, coincidentally, I'd clicked on to your ATC for WOYWW4 page. Don't ask me why I thought doing that caused the sun to shift ... technophobia has no reason!

So clever of the folks at Mr Linky to sort it out for you and restore harmony to WOYWW.

Love the quote on your card - may use it at any time the occasion necessitates :)

    Hugs, Elizabeth xx

  9. Not sure about yesterday's problem but this is my third attempt to leave a message as Mr Blogger is acting up today! Was going to apologise for not taking part yesterday (several hospital appointments) but perhaps as well I did not for I would have thought that I was responsible! Glad those good people at Mr Linky know how to fix things! Hugs, Anne x

  12. Julia, this could happen to anyone. It's just a lesson to all of us--Don't Talk and Link.
It reminds me of that sleepy morning I got up at five and, bleary eyed, tried to link up to WOYWW, and failed miserably! Hugs dearest! (so funny)

  13. It was panic around the desks yesterday, but we found each other eventually, panic over. You have many strenths Julia one of which as this card shows lovely grunge cards even though you dont like grunge. Now thats a strength. Hugs Mo x

  14. Oh hey, that is a fab card! And you said you couldn't do grunge! ;) It looks like its ONE of your many many strengths...though I know days with big booboo's make you feel like you don't have any, I know for a fact you have several, and those are just the one's I can see from across the big pond! :) But I've got the same kind of mum as you do so I think I get where you are coming from. Just know we love you and appreciate all you do to keep us globe-trotting, among the many other duties and responsibilities you have, you still make time for us. And we don't pay you! But in love and *hugs* and hopefully in encouragement. So here's my "payment" for the day..one huge *hug* (and feel free to slip in a pat or two on your shoulder) and a big smile that says, "You are fabulous! And really really special!" (have you ever seen Veggie Tales? One character speaks in this super sincere voice and says that special thing. It just popped into my head thinking about you. :) And also a big Thank You for getting Mr. Linky fixed so we can play this week...perhaps whoever you spoke to really need to be helpful and that's what the reason is for the error? So this way you helped some people get over their technophobia, maybe a little, and also you made someone at Mr. Linky feel really good that they could be so helpful. Plus also maybe the Mr. Linky people now realize they need to include a new function in their admin options...one that lets people undo giant deletes! :) Well, I have to eat my quickly cooling lunch now, but you have a super wonderful...hmmm, is it evening time there now? Well, whenever you get this I hope it's encouraging and makes you think, "Hmmm. Maybe I am a bit wonderful...yep. I am!" 'Cuz you are! ;)

  15. ROTFLOL! Oh Julia it does my heart good to know that the phone can cause problems, and distractions for other people too!!
Your card is a beauty! Love the colors.

  16. Ooer, was it my phone call that was the distraction?? In which case, the disappearance of Mr Linky was my fault..... :)

  23. What a great saying. I laughed and laughed when I saw it and read about the Linky. I did it once myself. Added the wrong date. Loved the card, though.

I wanted to tell you I bought a package of those pins and now have no idea where I put them. I put them somewhere safe so I could do just what you are doing now. I wish you luck. It would take me a month to put what little bit of scraps I have around those pins.

Hope you have a good time at the crop.

  27. Great card Julia - thanks for sorting Mr Linky out. I'm fairly new to blogging and about a week or so after starting it, and trying to learn it all, I was messing around with the templates - and then was temporarily shut out 'for suspicious activity' ...ooops LOL - have stuck to same layout since. Hope you have a better week.. Gill x
