More of the same...but different

If you were one of 40 people at Japonica's day long workshop yesterday, you will recognise this as the card I bullied you into making.  If you weren't there, it's a variation of the card I put on my last post.  In as much as it uses the same stamps.  The rest, actually is quite different in terms of ingredients.  Which goes to show that there's lots of very similar products out there and you need to take a workshop or two - they help when you're trying to find which product suits you best.  Because you don't have to buy it to try it.  But you already got that.  Now, I will stop promoting workshops and go get on with something.  Erm, probably workshop preparations!

  1. Another great card, Julia. I do like the techniques you have been using here, the little touches of gold are fab and stamping the sentiment over the gold is another terrific touch. As someone who can't get to your workshops I appreciate the little insights you've been posting :) Hugs, Elizabeth xx

  3. I agree with Elizabeth, the gold is fabulous. Love it! I shall be trying out more techniques now I have a bigger desk, but you'll have to wait till tomorrow to see my 'new' room. Old pics up at the mo, but the troops have worked hard and I now have a much nicer crafty space. Might have to try this here technique with the double stamping cos it's blooming lush! Take care Zo xx

  22. What a lovely card Julia. I love the touches of gold on the card - stylish.

I don't know about using workshops to try before you buy; for those of us who don't quite 'get' that concept - I need to find out how to use most of the stuff I already own.

Hope Elsie and Virginia appreciated the 'dedication' to them in your last post lol.

    Big hugs

  23. What lovely cards, I wouldn't have thought of adding the gold so is a new tip for me. Fab idea. As for Workshops I've paid for one but couldn't attend and they kept the money - boo.
