So, ifyou've shaken off your New Year torpor and your desk is set for some action, let's see it! Upload a pic to your blog, then leave a link here and we'll visit. Slowly for sure, but as many as possible, certainly we try to visit those who visit us. On this I failed dismally last week - I promise that I prioritised and regret that for a change, me and my leisure time weren't the priority! Anyhoo, join us do - it's fun, it's free and it's harmless. Unless you count an addiction to looking at everyone's desks!

What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday?
Oh my word...relatively tidy and showing a work in progress - yes fellow WOYWWers, I have suffered some strange and very likely temporary need to craft and be tidy at the same time!I got me some ipaper from that Amber Ink, and then started a little book - will show and tell a bit more if I finish it! You can see not one but two sets of Paper Artsy stamps (yep, still waiting for the mounting foam!) and I can count 6 ways to apply sticky - am on a mission to use or use up! You will not be surprised however, when I tell you that I gave up on that and used the old yellow Monster after a while, honestly, so fiddly these little applicators!! In my empty stamp basket on the right are some cards, in assortments of five, bagged up and waiting to be labelled - a small bunch of raffle prizes. If you're reading this and hoped to see work in progress towards next week's workshop - don't worry, I've hidden it for a surprise!
Wow creative desk this morning Julia! Is this a new years resolution to craft and tidy?i sure need that one too.Have fab wednesday .Hope you had lovely new year.
ReplyDeletehugs judex1
Ooooh, my desk is set for ACTION alright! LOL And yours is getting a good workout as WELL *smiles*
ReplyDeleteHave an art-filled day!
Happy New Year Julia!
ReplyDeleteI bought some Paper Artsy stamps at the NEC and have to admit to not having given them a run for their money as yet... maybe today will be the day! Love the look of the WIP!
Chrissie
I don't like those mini tape things either. Had a brand new one that stopped working after three uses! What a waste! I want one of those monster ATG now, for sure. Your desk is neat..kind of like mine. Happy WOYWW! #7
ReplyDeleteOh my, your desk looks positively spring cleaned and organised Julia!! Is this a new you for the New Year? Will it last? LOL
ReplyDeletehappy new year, Julia! i can hardly believe my eyes! am i really #1 this Wednesday?! what a way to start the WOYWW new year (new year's resolution: stalk Julia!) here's to another wonderful year of desks, tidy and otherwise!
ReplyDeleteI'm draggin' my okole a tad bit here Julia, but I'll tell you this...you are nokaoi! Hauoli makahiki hou!
ReplyDeleteLoving the look of the book already! Thought I'd be seeing rosettes everywhere today??!
ReplyDeleteAdhesives! A huge issue for me right now. Loving the neat desk.
ReplyDeleteI do beg pardon .... I seem to have arrived at the wrong desk ... this looks far too tidy for your one!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year hugs to you.
Kay (Toodles & Binks)
Happy New Year, dear Julia. I am not sure if this is the new look in tidy, but I love it! And I found all those little applicators, too. So many colors, so little time to fiddle with them. I can see why the yellow monster would be the applicator of choice.
ReplyDeleteI'm behind, too. I fell asleep and lost out on anywhere close to the front of the pack today. But I wouldn't miss this first post of the new year for anything, even I was number "last."
Well howdy there and long time, no WOYWW! Back in the saddle again now and looking forward to a few desk visits! Sorry, clearly watched too many cowboy movies over the holidays! Nice desk - is that the sound of a leaf turning over I hear? tee hee. Will look forward to seeing that book done.
ReplyDeleteMary Anne
Blimey Julia, that IS a tidy desk!
ReplyDeleteLoving the pink & green papers.
I'm definitely ready for crafting action, it's especially pleasureable now the pressure of all the Christmas cards is out of the way. Not to mention all the new stash that has come my way ;-)
Like the new look blog, very stylish
Little books...swoon! Love those pretty tabs,
ReplyDeleteDesk ready for inspection, Ma'am, and suitably tidy.
Bernie (#17)
Hi Julia
ReplyDeletea lovely tidy desk, how long will it last!! I have some of them little blue runners somewhere! gave up with them.
Wishing you a great 2011, happy WOYWW, sue,x (20)
I must say your desk is looking tidy! I'm with you, I always go back to my awesome ATG gun. It spoils us for anything else...lol Can't wait to see your finished book.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Marjo #23
I have got to save you from that horrid mounting foam stuff! I now use some stuff called Tack 'n' Peel - fabberooni invention, I will never mount a stamp again!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Julia, here's to a great year...
ReplyDeleteAnd looks like your making a real effort to keep it clean, i'm impressed and shocked as your desk is actually cleaner then mine!!!!
Look forward to seeing your finished project xx
Looks creative and organised - looking forward to seeing your book that you are creating :-)
ReplyDeleteMorning all! Happy WOYWW and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteSorry - back to college this morning - no time to post, but there is a review of a novel I recommmend if you fancy stopping by. Will try to visit some of you later in the week
ReplyDeleteVery tidy. Love the new look blog. Hugs Pam x
ReplyDeleteJulia, a very tidy desk , which is more than I can say for mine.. which has hopped back into last year!! like the perspective of it!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you
xx
Hi Julia. Happy New Year! Looking forward to seeing your little book when it is finished. I finally got my ATG gun...yesterday, so not in time for Christmas! I no longer have to be envious of your yellow monster every time I visit your desk!
ReplyDeleteSusan xxox #8
Good Morning and Happy New Year 1st WOYWW! You like like you are raring to go with pretty pink and green instead of Christmas colours so good to see some fresh crafting going on but I'm worried about Mr ATG. Has he been made redundant or is he relegated to the subs bench in favour of little Miss Pinky Runner? Oooh er!??
ReplyDeleteHugs JoZarty x
I say give the applicators that you don't like away. When you find an adhesive that works for you using anything else just makes life harder. Don't make life harder for yourself!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Julia....and a tidy one at that.....I'm impressed :-)
ReplyDeleteI've managed my blog but not sure how many others I will make it to today....it depends how the pain killers kick in :-( ....but I'm up, dressed and keeping gently moving. Fingers crossed it doesn't last long....things to do places to go as they say :-)
Thanks for your caring comments.
Hugs,
A x

ReplyDeleteLovely tidy desk - keep it up! Look out for postie!
ReplyDeleteVery tidy desk Julia!
ReplyDeleteI think i too have most of the adhesive varieties, apart from the monster in yellow. I like having lots of options though, so even if i do use up, they are likely to be replaced.
looking forward to seeing your new project.

ReplyDeleteHi Julia.. don't mention sticky tape machines to me!! rofl.. that's why I have rolls & rolls of tape on my candle holder!! works for me ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a great day. Gez.xx
Happy New Year, I missed you all when I was away so I will try and get to you all this week.
ReplyDeleteGreat desk, how long until its back to "normal"
Cathx
Happy New Year, thought I would join in this week but I didn't realise it had gotten so big! I have decided it is just impossible to be tidy and crafty - even if I worked in a warehoue I think it would get in a mess!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Here's to a crafty one!
ReplyDeleteYour little book looks great already! Can't wait to see the finished project!
And I agree with you about the little adhesive thingies, they are a pain, I had 2 in a row that got all tangled up after the first 3 uses! I used them up manually and then got myself one of the big ATG's and I love it!
xoxo karen
Happy New Year Julia! Yes, I see that for now we are both tidying up a bit on our desks. I know for sure that mine won't last....I'm already starting to slip!
ReplyDeleteSheena #75
Love your new banner, Ms. Julia... Yes, I chose sleep over linking early...can I pretend I'm doing a study to see how many hits I get when I'm so low on the list? Lol. Your desk does look tidy but I'm sure it's getting lots of work done....maybe even faster since you know where everything is? Enjoy your week!
ReplyDelete#78
Am posting and running as am supposed to be en route to nursery at this very moment! But had to halt everything to gaze a while at that desk! Wow! Bet it's back to normal next week ;)
ReplyDeleteI like any desk with a little pin on it - tidy or not. Here's to another year of WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteOoops, that would be pink!
ReplyDeleteSo glad I could join in with the first of the new year! Love the PaperArtsy stamps - and Happy New Year to you!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year everyone! Julia, you seem to have my clean fairy with you today, please send her back, seems like I really need her at the moment!! I also think I spy 7 ways to apply sticky stuff, not 6!! I love Paper Artsy stamps but sadly none have come my way yet, lots of other stuff has though so I won't complain!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Your space looks fabulous! That little project looks cute!
ReplyDeleteLove new look of your blog, Julia, and your tidy desk - easier to get a quick start on the new project. Can't wait to see it. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteLove the new look of your blog-Happy New Year!

Joey x
Tidy!! Can't wait to see your little book. I have trouble with the small tape dispensers also. Once they fall apart it seems you can never get it back together and working, same for the silly refills. #95
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome. You know when you only have one layer of supplies or projects that's always a good thing. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteJulia, that's a great start into the new year! But where are your glasses, I couldn't find them? Have a happy new year, I look forward to another year of snooping around other people's workdesks.
ReplyDeleteHappy New year, Julia! I love my big old glue gun although the small tape dispensers are convenient for some projects.
ReplyDeletehere we are again off on another adventure.. thanks Julia. have a great creative 2011 fellow WOYWW's..... xxxxx
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Julia and all my fellow WOYWWers.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see that little book when its finished!!

Thanks for letting me play with you guys! This is my first post. I just love being nosey and seeing what everyone else is doing!
ReplyDeleteHi Julia and Happy New Year
ReplyDeleteyou're loads tidier than me this week
Debz
xx
Oooh what an interesting angle, I hope you were careful when taking the picture, unless you are very very tall! Why have you got something that belongs to Tracy on your desk? I just got a tape pen and was ready to give up then I saw Nancy Watt on C&C doing a staccato movement with it and it is much better now. I've got a glass mat now!
ReplyDeleteLinbyx
Yes it certainly has become an addiction looking at everyone's desks...but a fun one...lol! Loving your new stamps...hope you can get them mounted soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the peek and happy WOYWW! :D
x♥Tracey♥x...ƸӜƷ
Happy New Year Julia. And to fellow WOYWWers.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing your mini album - I just love minis!!
My first time with this group! Happy New Year. Looking forward to seeing everybody's desks.
ReplyDeletewishing you a very happy new year julia...and wowzers i hardly recognise that tidy space!! ;0)
ReplyDeleteThis is so much fun, thank you for sponsoring the Wednesday posts.
ReplyDeleteMarcy
OMG am no 120, makes me tired just thinking of getting to 10% of the entrants, LOL.
ReplyDeletehappy new year to you and yours, Siobhan
Wow, that is a lovely tidy productive desk! Wish I could say the same of mine!
ReplyDeleteLoving your tidy desk - and your stash of adhesives lol - think I might have to look into a ATG gun everyone seem to love them at the moment I just use easy tear tape - cheap and cheerful lol.
ReplyDeleteLove the book you are working on looking forward to seeing it finished. I was late today as with the bank holiday and going back to work thought it was only Tuesday Doh! Nicky
Thanks for sharing your desk...tidy crafting. Hmmm, isn't that an oxymoron? I am too impatient to wait for the mounting foam, especially if they are for paperartsy stamps, so I must admit I use some double sided tape on an acrylic block and stamp with the paper on a piece of funky foam for extra 'give' until the proper stuff arrives (by which time I have usually ordered more stamps!!!!).
ReplyDeletekyla
Julia! OMG! I must have half-timerz setting in on me! lol! I completely forgot to come visit your wonderful Wednesday Works. I'm off to all the blogs to see what everyone is working on! Ohhh it's just great to have blog friends.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Deb
You can never have enough sticky stuff I say. I have a drawer that sags on one side and won't close it is so full of of adhesives in every conceivable format.
ReplyDeleteMarilyn
stonking new wallpaper Julia - new look for the new year? Happy New Year to you anyway... hope you are well.
ReplyDeleteYour desk is looking regular - not too messy. have you tried using stick and spray or a spray mount glue for your stamps? I use them on my grey rubber to attach to my rocker blocks...
Well, I've made it after a few weeks of not being able to join in and very glad to be back.
hugs and thank you for hosting
Paula x x x x
Howdy,
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
You changed your blog - neat-o!
Your work space looks quite tidy. As mine is this week, too. I finally started some artwork after too many days away....

Would love for you stop by for a peak when you have a moment or 2!
Peace,
LuLu
Hi Julia, My friend Sandra (No.66 on your list) put me on to your fabulous site! I love seeing what other people are busy creating, especially when it's in various stages and not just looking perfectly finished. I'm only just getting the hang of this blogging business ...
ReplyDeletewe'll just have to see what happens! Love your blog, best wishes,
RosA (Australia)
great desk Julia, looks like it really means business ;) And loving your new blog background :)
ReplyDeleteLove the tidy desk - good start, but will it last? Sorry, I am a day late this week, but I had to join in anyway. Like Nick, I say get rid of that revoltingly sticky mounting foam. I use Crafters Companion repositional Stick and Spray instead, and am in the process of removing any stamps I have mounted in the past from the foam. Takes up less space and does not mess up your scissors and everything else in sight. Happy New Year to Everyone.
ReplyDeleteLovely tidy desk. Good job I never made that as a New Years resolution. Can't wait to see whats hidden.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Julia!
ReplyDeleteI love the colours you’re working with this week. Pink and Green go so well together and always look so fresh.
Looking forward to another great year of WOYWW.
Sue

WOW! I actually made it right through the list and commented on each one. Feeling very proud of myself right now and very inspired. Gotta go, there's a few things I want to try!
ReplyDeleteI'm betting those of us with tidy new year desks will soon return to our usual creative messyness, but looking good for now ! Loving the colours of that paper..Happy New WOYWW year..Esther xx
ReplyDeleteThat is a very tidy desk there! good luck with sorting your ribbons - I spent ages sorting mine out once and now they are all wound around dolly pegs - it was worth it because now I actually do use them rather than curse them! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Julia! Thank you for all the fun we've had the past year! You've been grand!
ReplyDeletePatsy from
HeARTworks
Hi all, I'm a newbie to blog and WOYWW so hopefully I'm doing it right lol My desk is much smaller than I'd like and I've barely used it so far. Normally I spread myself out over an entire room on the floor. Looking forward to checking out some other creative spaces :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm playing WOYWW even though my things can't seem to make it off the floor today!
ReplyDelete
