Well well, Julia Dunnit! Are you ill? Are you out of stock of stash? No. See, what happened is that I tidied a bit after making a card featuring stripes and then because it's only half an hour till supper, I thought I'd take advantage of the oven being on. Huh? Stay with me - you can just see the two blocks of Fimo on the table - it is a bit like looking into the sun, sorry about the flash. Can you see the green square in front of the Fimo? It's one of the new moulds from Sarah at Crafty Creations - you may have seen her on the telly, you'll certainly have seen her desk on your WOYWW rounds. Well, I can't show you the results because they're all in the oven, (see - there was a point!) but I'll show and tell eventually - you know me, can't resist a chance to brag. Not many stamps to clean in the basket - wrestling for room with another bag of sweeties - Miss Dunnit successfully getting around me for something by buying me bananas! The inevitable empty cup of tea and a freshly mounted set of Paper Artsy on the left. Marvellous but not overly creative would probably sum this up. Show me up then! Photo your desk, upload it to your blog and link here - let's see what you're up to!
Looking forward to seeing the end Fimo result :-)
ReplyDeleteWow! Tis is a new Julia we are seeing - clean stamps, tidy desk.... where is the rel one? Says I'm no 1 but I bet there are about 20 other girls waiting, so we'll see. Have a great WOYWW!

I got an oven too ... it is just for baking Fimo isn't it? Only someone was spreading rumours saying that you can use it for food... I think that they were on a wind up though LOL Neat and tidy desk Julia... I have still got my halo on... wondering if it will choke me eventually :O)) x
ReplyDeleteWow, don't be surprised if you find Legend lounging on YOUR space this week! Happy WOYWW to you!

That cup of tea looks inviting, even if it is nearly gone. And that desk is unbelievable. I'd be bragging about it, let alone the polymer clay in the oven. I hope your weather is good, and things are going well. It looks like you had a nice bit of time on your hands this week, or maybe it was because you had to move that desk so Mr. D could get through the doors. Happy WOYWW, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteWow Julia, I think I've never seen your desk like this. I had to rub my eyes... yes, indeed, tidy!!
ReplyDeleteOK... it was the little banana sweets that did it... I haven't a clue what else was on your desk because all I can think of is those sweets - I love them and Miss Dunnit could have whatever she wanted if she kept me supplied with them!! I will have to return to see what was baking...
ReplyDeleteHa Ha Julia, no showing you up, but you are so far above me that I'll have to be reading this thru again! And please don't tell me that you are so tall that you are not standing on a chair for this one - no boobies showing tho, so bully for you. Hope your getaway was spectacular, as those fimo square suprises no doubt will be!
ReplyDeleteNice and tidy and waiting to be filled with what you're baking up in that oven of yours! *smiles*
ReplyDeleteIt loos like you've given up on crafting.... and gone on to cooking! Tidy space and we are all waiting for the results of the cook in.

Hi Julia, I did see Sarah on TV and didn't make the connection. Your desk looks pretty clear to me this week - certainly better than mine:) Elizabeth, Yeah, managed to post earlier this week too - #60
ReplyDeleteOoh I've been baking salt dough - much much cheaper than fimo, and it air drys, and it is eco friendly, and you can paint it any colour you like, it is lighter than fimo so easier to use as embellishment/hanging ornaments...then spend the fimo pennies on other things, I know I'm a skinflint...and i know I am irritating but I can occasionally produce pearls....
ReplyDeleteFimo lesson at crop next time? Have linked from stamping blog today x x
ReplyDeleteHi hun
ReplyDeletelovely tidy desk, never played with fimo, have fun cookin, have great day, happy WOYWW sue,x

ReplyDeleteHiya! Fimo sounds fun - esp. if I get to use the oven for something other than shrink plastic. Wouldn't want it to go to waste ;) Di x
ReplyDeleteVery neat and tidy desk! Hmmm, what could you be making with the fimo? You have every one on tenterhooks waiting to find out! (I can't believe I just used the word tenterhooks, lol)

ReplyDeleteQueenMarcy
Woohoo, look at me! Number 20! I haven't been that high up the list since last January! All down to the lovely Annette though who linked me up as I was otherwise engaged. Love those banana sweets, I remember getting 10p every Saturday as a tiny tot and being taken to the little newsagents in our village for some sweeties, I'd always have one of those banana thingies in my bag! Never tried Fimo, just don't make anything that looks edible!
ReplyDeleteBrenda #20
Do you know, I try and get posted earlier in the day and still end up further down the list than ever before. Think I'll have to get up at dawn to improve my number!!
ReplyDeleteFar too tidy today, Julia. It's a good job crafting is happening in the oeven otherwise I'd have thought you were poorly!!
Can't wait to see the Fimo, it's great stuff to play with isn't it. Go and get yourself another cuppa, empty cups are not allowed!!

My desk or desks are the opposite of yours this week...brain has been going in many directions...help!!! I hope you have a small separate oven for doing crafts -- I am concerned about all those fumey chemicals getting into our food stuffs....
ReplyDeleteWell, I wnt to sleep last night about 11 in the US and there were 24 entries...woke up & I am # 138!!! WOW!

ReplyDeleteHowdy,
ReplyDeleteI'm back after missing WOYWW. Been busy working on art - yeah!
I abandoned my polymer clay supplies when I discovered modern scrapbooking in 2001! But I do plan to go back to clay - I have a little relief sculpture in mind for my gallery debut art show on Sep 17 this year.
Please stop by my blog when you have a moment or 2!
Peace,
LuLu
