What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 86

Well well, Julia Dunnit! Are you ill? Are you out of stock of stash? No. See, what happened is that I tidied a bit after making a card featuring stripes and then because it's only half an hour till supper, I thought I'd take advantage of the oven being on. Huh? Stay with me - you can just see the two blocks of Fimo on the table - it is a bit like looking into the sun, sorry about the flash. Can you see the green square in front of the Fimo? It's one of the new moulds from Sarah at Crafty Creations - you may have seen her on the telly, you'll certainly have seen her desk on your WOYWW rounds. Well, I can't show you the results because they're all in the oven, (see - there was a point!) but I'll show and tell eventually - you know me, can't resist a chance to brag. Not many stamps to clean in the basket - wrestling for room with another bag of sweeties - Miss Dunnit successfully getting around me for something by buying me bananas! The inevitable empty cup of tea and a freshly mounted set of Paper Artsy on the left. Marvellous but not overly creative would probably sum this up. Show me up then! Photo your desk, upload it to your blog and link here - let's see what you're up to!

  6. That cup of tea looks inviting, even if it is nearly gone. And that desk is unbelievable. I'd be bragging about it, let alone the polymer clay in the oven. I hope your weather is good, and things are going well. It looks like you had a nice bit of time on your hands this week, or maybe it was because you had to move that desk so Mr. D could get through the doors. Happy WOYWW, dear friend.

  8. OK... it was the little banana sweets that did it... I haven't a clue what else was on your desk because all I can think of is those sweets - I love them and Miss Dunnit could have whatever she wanted if she kept me supplied with them!! I will have to return to see what was baking...

  9. Ha Ha Julia, no showing you up, but you are so far above me that I'll have to be reading this thru again! And please don't tell me that you are so tall that you are not standing on a chair for this one - no boobies showing tho, so bully for you. Hope your getaway was spectacular, as those fimo square suprises no doubt will be!

  44. Ooh I've been baking salt dough - much much cheaper than fimo, and it air drys, and it is eco friendly, and you can paint it any colour you like, it is lighter than fimo so easier to use as embellishment/hanging ornaments...then spend the fimo pennies on other things, I know I'm a skinflint...and i know I am irritating but I can occasionally produce pearls....

Love those banana sweets, I remember getting 10p every Saturday as a tiny tot and being taken to the little newsagents in our village for some sweeties, I'd always have one of those banana thingies in my bag! Never tried Fimo, just don't make anything that looks edible!

I abandoned my polymer clay supplies when I discovered modern scrapbooking in 2001! But I do plan to go back to clay - I have a little relief sculpture in mind for my gallery debut art show on Sep 17 this year.
