No really. I AM THE WINNER

Thank you for your feedback and comments over the previous post - I sure made my point to computer guy and you commenters made my day - good grief you are a generous lot. As soon as my head is less swelly, I'll get my feet back on the ground and possibly maybe do some crafting. No chance of housework for sure. See, I only do housework if Mr Dunnit isn't home. He works on a Saturday morning, always has, not unusual, huh. He went off at 7.30 this morning and I resolved to sort out the kitchen, do some ironing, chuck the vacuum about downstairs and go to the post office. And promptly went back to sleep. Mr Dunnit woke me at 10.00 when he rang to say he was coming home. Great tactics for avoidance, huh! See, I can't do housework when he's home - he's in my way, I don't want to waste our time together and he distracts me by always having the tv on. It's his company of choice, mine is the radio. Of course, creating a blog post and cruising websites while he's home is by no means a waste of our time together. Why, he just has to stand up and walk 3 paces to see me!
Anyway - I forgot (of course), to include details of this card and had a few questions about it -yes - the Artemio snowflake stamps were stamped on cream card in clear ink and embossed with clear powder. The purple is a Dusty Concord DI and sponge application, the text is the same ink, a stamp that I cannot live without from A Stamp In the Hand. And the teeny postage stamp is from a small set by Inkadinkado. Stamped in Purple Stazon and the whole piece swiped with clear ink and embossed with a sparkly clear powder.

Have a lovely weekend.

  1. Too funny about housework! I'm the same. My DH works for the post office, and I can count on him being gone until 2:00 on Saturdays...I'm not wasting my housework time as we speak, but running some important updates on the computers, before tackling the cat boxes and floors!

  2. Hey, I'm the same way with household chores! I prefer to do them when dearly beloved is either not home or in his workshop or the exercise room. That way, the noise of me cleaning doesn't disrupt his video game playing! Ba ha ha!

By the way, LOVE the snowflake card. Thanks for sharing how you made it.

  3. Actually, WE are the winners. You are so accessible this way. In fact, just a click away. Glad I don't have a hubby, but they make great excuses at times (grin).

  4. How did Computer Guy take the news...was he impressed by the following you have?

I'm not even going to mention HW...

The card is lovely, I haven't done any 'resist' type stamping for ages.

  5. Chuckled about the housework! Talking of which, I'll tell you what gets right up my wick - when I take a day off work, my hard earned paid leave or flexi, somehow DH seems to think that makes me at HIS beck and call .... all these little jobs that aren't mine. Like taking HIS "sample" to the doctor's yesterday - charming - or the dry cleaning he hasn't bothered to pick up on his way home and how he "puts the washing on" for me to hang out (laundry is his bag. I mean, for heaven's sake - what part of Day OFF doesn't he understand?!

  6. Of course you are the winner! Both these cards are so gorgeous, especially the purple one. I actually got some made this morning, before I had to put the light on (it is easier for my eye in natural light!) Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  13. I'm with you on the housework, Julia. It's so much quicker to do it when you're on your own!!!! Who wants to spend ages doing housework anyway when there's crafting to be done.
Love the card, btw, spotted that resist happening in the last post. Gorgeous.
Keep Blogging, life would be a duller place without you!

  14. Just to prove that I do keep popping in and out, here I am, now...are you sure you put that top pic in this post, or have you just added it, coz I don't remember it. Now I'm beginning to think I'm nuttier hat I first thought..but it's a nice card, in fact I just might steal your idea, but of course I can't as I don't have that stamp!

I now must do some house work... I'm such a fibber.

  19. Wow Julia-Fab card-doesn't seem like 5 mins ago you were moaning and groaning about distress inks-what happened? I agree with you about blogging, having read your previous post. Blogland is a bit like a daily newspaper to me and I wouldn't write in to the editor about every article but I love reading them-esp. crafty ones. I too am stunned when people do comment-I'm amazed they've even found me. It's all good fun and wouldn't want to spoilit by making it work-I've done that bit and now playtime-bring it on. 24. Hi Julia - thanks for visiting my blog and just a quick reply - the article on which mentions Konnie Huq was in a recent Creativity Magazine so that is where you will have seen it. Regards, Elizabeth #113
