Hello lovely Neet, if you're reading this, know that we're all thinking of you and sending you the feel better vibes!
This was last night, proper night too, dark outside...it was actually only about 7, because I took it while I waited for our supper veggies to boil! I had started to unpack from the crop retreat at some point - that box contains papers that are matched to photos already. The stuff on top is coincidental because it's been there two weeks and any surface is a catch-all, huh! The actual working area has scrap paper and is relatively clear because during quite a long FaceTime call with my sister at the weekend, I made a handful of very simple cards. The box of gems is not put away flotsam from that. The coins came out of my pocket yesterday, setting up my screen for a chat with our Jan, my tunic pocket was clanking and annoying me as I moved. I was crocheting while Jan and I chatted about everything, what a tonic an hour in her company is to me. So that crochet project is finished and I'm moving onto making a Christmas present, I just like to have something to do in front of the TV so that me and Mr Dunnit are at least in the same room in the evening. I will tell you all about the new crochet next time...there's already a story. Ouf.Join us in the best show and tell, leave a link at Sarah's and we'll swing by!

I agree with the Jan chat - she is such a lovely lass and I'm sure she will lift your spirits. I'm glad you have been crafting too and yes, I bet all us crafters have a little bag/ basket beside our armchairs so that we can continue beetling away whilst watching tv and keeping our other halves company. Love and all good wishes.. Jo xxx
ReplyDeleteJan is like a tonic to us all Julia….I’m glad you managed to have a catch up. Really hoping your reconstruction of the business is going well and you’re keeping your spirits up.
ReplyDeleteLots of love and hugs,

Dawwww, you’re so kind, it was lovely to catch up and see that you and Mr D are doing ok and have plans moving forward. You’re a fast crocheted if you finished that scarf last night! I have really enjoyed doing all the knitting but it’s definitely slower than crochet. A lovely day here today, some pottering outside I think and then some friends are coming for a cuppa and catchup this afternoon!

Glad that the lovely Jan is cheering you up . Just snatching some desk time on lunch from the work desk! Happy woyww Helen #1
ReplyDeleteGood friends are a tonic indeed. If I went in my craft room while cooking, saucepans would boil dry! I hope you and your husband are recovering well from the shock, it takes a while sometimes, hugs to you both. Angela #10
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing better than a chat with friends, I so wish that we might all get together again some time. Leaving the kitchen and going into the craft room never works for me as I'm too easily distracted and forget what I'm supposed to be doing. The weather's been good here but it's definitely getting dark early. Wishing you a very happy woyww. Hugs Angela x7x
ReplyDeleteLove to nose round all the lovely stuff on your desk! WE have had a severe weather warning over the last 24 hours. Torrential rain and high winds. Fortunately it has now calmed down!

Always good to have someone to chat with as you craft Julia. Good luck with the crochet. Very quick visits as I have received yet more items for samples this morning. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
ReplyDeleteWish I could find things to do whilst watching TV instead of snacking! So nice to chat about everything, I miss that too. Sounds like you have it sorted on those fronts. Hugs BJ#9
ReplyDeleteI can just picture all the chatting and crafting - what a great way to spend your time! If I left the kitchen while veggies were boiling to attend to my desk...well forget about dinner and call the fire department!! 🤣 It looks like a very busy and crafty desk this week! ❤️Lindart #14
