What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 824

This was Tuesday afternoon at cuppa time. I didn't go back to it, so it's waiting. More patiently than I am, frankly. I'm doing a scrapbook 'workshop', so although the desk is cluttered, it's all stuff that's relevant to the layout I'm making. I splashed out last year and bought a 12 Days of Christmas set of kits and instructions from Bramble Fox. Beautifully put together kits and great instructions, and styles that I usually wouldn't make, so it's very enjoyable. But, it's not for just chucking in the rolling tote and taking to crop (which is kinda what I thought - save me having to think and pack for a couple of months) - each kit needs extras like paint or punches, that I have but wouldn't normally take to crop. Or indeed, think to use.  So this LO doesn't look much at the mo, but I'm keeping on. The instruction said to paint or ink three stripes which will ground the multiple photos I'm going to use. Here's a blast from the past...I used Twinkling H2Os!
So that's my desk. Others are available and waiting to inspire, pop over to Sarah for a list of links. Join in - why not!
Incidentally, there are a couple of Blogs that I couldn't comment on last week...they asked me to log into Google first. And of course, I was logged into Google. I think I have the solution, we'll see.

  1. I hope you get the layouts finished - it's a shame it turned out not to be something you can take to crop. Twinkling H20s...wow!! Lovely splash of sun across your desk though. Happy WOYWW Helen #3

  2. OMG! TWINKLING H2OS! Wow, really a blast from the past. Looking forward to the layouts, I'll bet they will be fab, yours usually are. One of my fave layouts of all time I made (quite literally) from the debris at the bottom of my crop bag, one day in Ludgershall. Ah those were the days... :)
    Happy knitting day WOYWW!

  3. They’re a very pretty three stripes! It’ll be good to see how they fit into the finished LO - I’m glad you’re pleased with the purchase of the kits, how lovely when something really floats your boat. I have no idea what I’ll be taking to the Crop, something small and easily portable no doubt and then I [robably wont’ get anything done, lol!

  4. Lovely to see you as always...3 stripes eh? Can't wait to see how it develops. Crop? I have no idea what I will be taking and guess I will need to make some ATCs as well...best get moving although I have other things to think about first.

  5. Yes, it always gets messy! :)
No matter how you try to keep things in order.
That will probably be a good layout. Always fun to find inspiration online.
I've had computer problems all day so I can't handle my laptop right now so I'll just have to look at all the participants instead.
Hugs and have a wonderful week!

  8. I used Twinkling H2O's early this week but I didn't feel the cardstock was right and they flowers were disappointing so I started again and did something different. I do often use them though, especially for fantasy flowers and fairies.
Now that is a product that never wears out and rarely disappoints like so many other paint type things.

  9. Twinkling H2Os - they are a blast from the past Julia. I have a load that I haven't used for ages. Thanks for the nudge. Good luck with the layouts. I have unfortunately had to cancel the crop as the numbers would have made things too expensive. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah

  10. I’ve had trouble for months replying to many of my favourite blogs. The iPad updated last week and asked me to log in to Google. I did and hey presto! -it’s sorted (fingers crossed)

  12. It’s always a bit of a nightmare knowing what to pack, imagine being away for 4 months and trying to think what to pack 🤣🤣. I have already started to think about it, I try to take less, but it never works out that way. A belated HappyWOYWW. Angela #10

  14. Well as I missed last week and you missed this week's blogging I thought I'd comment on last weeks. If you understood that you are doing better than me! Sort of got the kits for crop description - personally I can't abide crafting away from my desk- packing for a crop is far to distressing and unfathomable for me, I mean I don't even go on holiday such is the mountainous task of packing (and other things I won't go into) Hoping to see the resulting LO one day. PS I can't comment on Mary Anne's wordpress blog - again! Nightmare trying to, ho hum. Hugs BJ#1
