I bought this kit in September and to be honest, had almost become so used to it sitting on the worktop in my space that I could easily have stopped seeing it...it was a bit of a tidy up that made me realise that now would be a good time to make it up. It actually contained loads of ribbon lengths that I couldn't make work, the instructions weren't very clear to me. So, out came the glue gun and I made it up from the picture on the box (at left on my desk) and by missing out the ribbons that I didn't like. Was a nice couple of hours and only two sweary moments when the glue was too hot for fat fingers! She doesn't know it yet, but this wreath is for Miss Dunnit and I shall deliver it today. Which means I'm out again, so please bear with me on the visiting front!
I'm not sure why the mouse looks drunk.. he looks more upright than that to me...wonky eyesight! He might have to be a manipulated mouse!
So whilst I'm out by the grey blue waters of the south coast, please show and tell, you obviously are an inspiration. And not just to me.
That’s really nice, I’m sure Miss D will love it! The mouse does look a bit squiffy, been raiding your booze cupboard again? I thought you might share the bottle you were doing during our catch up. Hope you have a nice day out.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely wreath!
ReplyDelete'Oh I do like to be beside the seaside', lucky you getting a trip in to see DD and the sea breeze to waft all over you. Can't think of a more enjoyable thing to be doing than that unless, of course, it was making the garland.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day and catch up whenever.
Hugs, Neet 5 xx
I love your Christmas wreath. The little mouse is perfect to me and am sure it will be loved by Miss Dunnit. Have a lovely day together.

Good morning Julia! Your wreath is lovely and I am sure your daughter will love it, wonky mouse or not. Actually I think he is quite cute! Have a great visit with your daughter and I hope the sun comes out for you. Hugs Angela #6
ReplyDeleteAh I have missed this! So maybe he is listing a bit to ... port? Starboard? I'm sure it matters if you are looking AT him or AS IF you are him. No matter, I am sure Miz Dunnit will love him. What better gift than one made by your own fair hand? I love a festive wreath - maybe I need to persuade Darling Daughter to make one with me!
ReplyDeleteHave the happiest of WOYWWs and enjoy your daughter.
