What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday 674

This week has been a battle royal between me and Google. Or Blogger. Not sure which, but I’m guessing it’s the lag between Google updating stuff on their side and the boffins in charge at iPad trying to resist. Embedded comments on blogs are really difficult if not impossible to comment on, please don’t think you’re being ignored.

Blogger has also given me a couple of heart stoppers too, but I finally have uploaded instructions for how to do the Anniversary ATC swap, it’s a page, accessible by clicking the link ‘WOYWW ATCs’ in the top line of this ‘ere blog.
Right, to business.
A  clean sheet! I’d just finished an ATC featuring the Magnolia stamp (Hero Arts) at left and the ink pads, pots of embossing powder, scissors, cutter and rubbish at the right are accumulated detritus from several makes. So a clean sheet yes, but untidy as reassuringly always!
Thought you might like to see this pull back shot….
What do you mean, you don’t have a mower in your craft space? I have to admit that I don’t now, it was moved straight after the photo was taken. And I was surprised to see it there. It arrived in a box and needed some putting together, which Mr Dunnit did on Sunday morning. He’d barely had time to stand up straight when the doorbell announced the arrival of a furniture delivery (new sofa, ordered in January). I went to the door whilst, I assumed, he put the mower in the garage. Not so, as you can see. Funny. Especially as I took the photo standing in the door way to the garage from my room, so it wouldn’t have been difficult to put it in there. Maybe it doesn’t deserve to be relegated to the garage until it’s no longer new? Who knows. Perhaps I won’t mention it’s in there until it’s time to use it….!

As always, please link your desk so we can all have a look see. Especially if you’re working on an ATC for the anniversary. Who’s idiot idea was it to come up with a theme? Yikes.

  1. Sorry you've had trouble with blogger/google/ipad and that you've been invaded by a lawnmower! At least it wasn't the sofa.... Off to check out the ATC page now. Happy WOYWW

  4. I can honestly say that I have never had a lawnmower in my craft shed Julia lol. Glad it didn't stay in your space for long. My comments don't seem to be showing up on some of the blogs either and I am using a windows computer. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #6

  9. Hi Julia, blogger has changed how we leave comments - again! Got me confused at first just because I haven't been around. If they sent a message of explanation, I missed it. Anyway, hope you're sorted now. I haven't got a mower in my room. Can't think why because it's a dumping ground for everything else! I'll need to swat up on the ATC swap - something else I've obviously missed the chat about. Have a great day and a fabulous week. Hugs, Elizabeth x #9

  10. And why not have a lawnmower in your craft area?
Looking forward to joining in with Connections...

  11. You wouldn’t get your lawn mower in my craft room! Not sure how I feel about the theme “connections”, but I have been giving it a lot of thought, in fact I have just had an idea! Mmm… yes might go with that 🤗. All craft stuff packed and waiting until we get to our first site. Visiting in-laws at the moment. Happy WOYWW.Angela #14

  12. Happy WOYWW. One advantage of being upstairs in my craft room is that hubby doesn't get to leave anything in here! Themed ATCs - not something I have done for a long time. Will have to get thinking. Ali x #16

  13. Haha Julia, I totally grinned over the lawn mower being in your space. (you win) :) ( we have a new bbq in boxes at the bottom of the stairs to trip around to come up here and so I laughed its such a guy thing) but, then the garage is the space under this room. I like the pulled back view and how much wall space you have that is usable. :) the sloped ceilings are not conductive to good storage pieces here.

  14. Sometimes I wish all these companies would be happy with what they have, and not constantly trying to make things "better". Very frustrating! Your desk today is nice and tidy, waiting for the next amazing project! It is funny, to see a mower in your craft space! You would never get anything that big in to mine! Have a great week, Lindart #18

  16. Blogger is being odd today... The lawnmower really did make me giggle... not something you expect in your craft room. Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#10)

  17. Just skidding in, left my boots outside . . . . didn't expect the lawnmower!!
    Crafting upstairs has its advantages.
Sorry to hear that 'Bogger' is affecting you, I though you had escaped - I've given up and hardly blog at all now.
    Enjoy your week

  19. I'll see your lawn mover and raise you one VW bug transmission - yes, I went away for the weekend, and when i come back the "boys" have taken the trans out of the bug and are rebuilding it on my table, thinking they would be done before I got home- their excuse- the part got delayed.
Carry on! I've got the design for my ATC in my head, and that is 1/2 the battle!
    Love, Robyn
