It really is temporary. One reason will be to avoid the wearing of a path from desk to workroom to get stuff. Just about every time I sit down I realise there’s something else I need....ink pad, water, particular paint, sunglasses...you know! It’s a glorious pic isn’t it, the sun was so great yesterday that I just had to show you. Mind you, there’s to be no change this morning...real life is imposing, of course. I’m using Sparkle Paints and a water brush to colour this Pink Ink image. I seem to be making a collection of useful pots to put things in. That’s Zsazus’s fault. During Marit’s Dutch Summer, Zsazsu had a spot on decorating these useful pots and I intend to try. So far my intention has been diverted by theIr usefulness! There’s not much else of interest to be honest...quite a lot of rubbish to be dealt with; I moved the desk so suddenly that I hadn’t really sorted it, so the unsorted piles came too! Wanna see in context:
You have to find the cream painted desk legs to avoid the optical illusion that it may just be a floating surface! The pile of MFC pieces on the floor are actually shelves for the new kitchen cupboards. (The build is still in progress; one of the reasons why I don’t feel too bad about adding my desk to this room for now!) Anyway, that’s enough, we all need to get on and visit more interesting places.
Please join in..link your WOYWW titled post here and enjoy some visitors. That will be great, thanks. See you at your place.
ooh, I was just loading your page to link on my post and here you are! so I've linked now and will start visiting in the morning before work. I love the sunshine on your temporary desk, what a great position - those table legs are great!!
ReplyDeleteWell, that's better than being stuck in the gloom! I can't see you ever moving back with light like that though I'd have to wear sunglasses in order to craft. Those shelves make a freak footrest huh?!

Art on the go is always a challenge! yay! for light- and another week of desking!

The sunshine is beautiful. I am always happy when it's sunny in my craft room. It makes everything feel better. I am still cracking up about the optical illusion of a floating desk. Perhaps there is some truth to it since your desk has been relocated again. It might be floating from room to room while you sleep!! I am loving the gecko. It's pretty. I hope you have a wonderful day my friend.

Hello Julia, loving the creation on your desk and so true about some good light for crafting. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteSandra de
You are around early Julia. Love the daylight shot and I had to look twice to find the legs lol. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #8
ReplyDeleteOoh, that is much better - light - not just any light, sunshine! Here in the north of England we have doom and gloom, high winds and hailstorms at the moment. That's what woke me.
ReplyDeleteThat must be fun having a desk on wheels that you can move around room to room - guess who wants one?
Have a lovely week and enjoy that sunshine. Think of me in my thermals!
Hugs, Neet 9 xx
Your space today looks like your creating from the botanical gardens, what a joy to see sunshine, I'd just stand and take it all in. Just think of the sights we could visit if all our desks were on wheels, as long as it didn't all fall off in the rolling!! Happy WoywW Hugs Tracey 10 xx
ReplyDeleteI’m with Neet on the delights of seeing sunshine. We’ve had a right battering with the weather over the last three days and it looks like there’s no let up yet. It’s so windy and now it’s threatening snow. Still it’s better than what our neighbouring town have had to contend with. You can see it in my post

Oh what a lovely light, sunny place to craft and create. Enjoy it while you’re there.
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Hi Julia, what glorious sunshine you had yesterday. We had some bright periods- interspersed with snow flurries! Love the Pink Ink stamps, such mad images, lol. Be cool to see your decorated pots, it's another good intention on my list of things to do. It's a long list. Very long.
ReplyDeleteThose windows look fab, love the shaped frames. Love & hugs to you both, Shaz #1 XxXx
That's a lovely sunny spot for your creative activities! It is really a fab room - and will be wonderful when it's all done but at least you can enjoy it as you go along. xx Jo
ReplyDeleteInteresting place to craft but I understand what you are saying about having to go backward and forwards for stuff, I'm hoping when I'm finally installed in the cabin that this might improve but I'm not holding my breath. I've started moving stuff in but I know it's going to be a long job as most of it has to be brought down from the loft and the weather isn't helping either. I have already planned that the new work table will be on wheels with shelving underneath but it's only in the planning stage right now. As for useful pots...that's an obsession and you'll see one tube type on my desk that I am about to alter so you see we're all as bad as each other or good depending on how you look at it. Happy creative woyww, Angela x16x
ReplyDeleteA lovely spot Julia, don't blame you for moving! Anne x @17 ( I think)
ReplyDeleteoooo I want to see a close up of your lovely work! I adore the sunlight - makes me want to create more.Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteOh that glorious sunshine! I have two windows in front of my desk and I just love when the sun shines through onto my work surface! It just makes me very happy! Very busy work desk today.
ReplyDeleteGlenda #21
What a lovely spot for your craft desk - perfect light too. I love the colouring, very tonal and pretty- at first I thought it was a cornucopia but after closer inspection I realise it's a Lizard - old eyes I'm afraid!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely week with lots more sunshine,

Hi Julia seems to be habit commenting at 10pm so won’t do any others again.
ReplyDeleteSunshine, how lovely!
We had rain here, half a metre in five days, so we’re ready for that too, but it’s still teeming outside as I type, guess that’s what happens when you pray for rain for months,
Now I love that image you’re wiring on, great one and think the moveable desk is simply brilliant! Esp in such bright location.
What I love most in your WOYWW post is your PHOTOS ARE BIG. Thank you Julia! ❤️
Must confess lots are frustrating in their teeny weeny size. On mobile device which I’m always on its impossible to comment meaningfully.
I laughed at your use of receptacles for practical reasons rather than redoing them like Zsuzsa has done, I remember hers. I have useful receptacles for one reason only Very Useful.
No intention of adding anything remotely pretty on top, even plain brown boxes. I’ve never time to make all cards let alone other things.
I’m glad your space is still a WIP, so is mine! But different reasons Very pretty woodwork there though no doubt by Mr Dunnit.
Thanks for being a blessing, and may God bless you too. Happy WOYWW.

That's one busy desk. Know the feeling about having to keep getting up for things, still it keeps us fit. Have a good week. Ani#14
ReplyDeleteWhat a glorious spot for a work-desk - flooded in light! You may need to claim squatter's rights...#justsayin! I'd love to be able to take a closer look at that chameleon, especially if it's irridescent, as the "Sparkle Paints" reference implies. Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteAmelia #24
It is much nicer to be in a sunny spot or even to have a window to look out of. You chameleon looks wonderful, I hope we get a closer look. I am always collecting useful containers, drives my husband nuts! I do have to check, now and then, that are all containing something different! Happy WOYWW Angela #26 xx
ReplyDeleteOoh the light in that space is fabulous Julia, enjoy that :) ( I know it wouldn't work long term for keeping the fade off of things but, I think that is a really nice thing for something you know is temporary during the winter when there just isn't enough light in the day. ~Stacy #30
ReplyDeleteLovely situation for a desk, Julia. So nice to see daylight too. You could get used to it and that sunroom would make a fabulous craftroom, would it not? Hugs, Elizabeth x #26
ReplyDeleteHi Julia, with lovely sunshine like that I'd be tempted to claim the space permanently! Sorry I have been AWOL for so long .... life took a hectic turn and I'm only just slowing down after 2 months of madness. I don't think I dare look at Zsuzsa's past posts- I might be tempted by the containers! Have a lovely week, hugs Heather xx #33
ReplyDeleteHow gorgeous to have your desk in that glorious sunshine! Lovely photo of a busy happy desk. Happy WOYWW. I hope you have a lovely week. With love and God bless, Caro xx (#19)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely spot for your desk! We need as much sunshine as we can get this time of year, I'm a bit jealous! Thank you for your visit to mine. I am on antibiotics for my abscess, and was when it burst! But it is much better now, and the tooth is coming out on Tuesday. Have a great week, Lindart #29
ReplyDeleteLovely sunny desk, Julia, but sorry about the traipsing back and forth for stuff. Having new kitchens seems to be an epidemic amongst the WOYWW folks at the moment! I hope we get to see some pics of the finished result. Nosing around other people's kitchens is almost as much fun as nosing around their craft rooms... I love your chameleon. Thank you for your visit, and I'm glad you are another Kaffe Fasset fan! His work is amazing and I agree, a joy to the senses. I am trying to prepare some sheets with gesso ready for doing some more stuff with my Tombows - they are really lovely to use.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated WOYWW,
